Call it luck if you want but the Chicago Blackhawks are in the playoffs. They will take on the Vancouver Canucks Wednesday night. We all know this isn’t the same Blackhawks team that took on the Canucks last year but as we have seen in the last few years, all an NHL team has to do is get into the playoffs and anything can happen.

Doug Davis??? REALLY??? Christ, don’t we have anybody in the minors who’s teetering on being ready to make it up for a cup of coffee? This fuckin’ guys horrible. Hell, maybe Hendry’s gonna look up LaToya and Antonio to see if they’re interested in an encore performance. If I were Rod Beck’s agent, I’d call up ole Jimbo to see if I could get the Cubs to ink a deal for the deceased closer….hell, Hendry probably doesn’t even know he’s dead.

Be careful there Jimmy. You’ll offend Yeti. Latoya and Antonio were two of the Cubs most “servicable” closers in history. Just slightly behind the legendary Kevin Gregg.
Besides, do you think it’s beneath Moe Hendry to sign a player who blows?

Can someone please explain to me how Jeff Samarsuck is still on a MLB roster?
11-2 against the hapless Astros?
I wonder what that makes the Cubbies more-hapless?
Where’s Irish Yeti, he’ll straighten this thing out for us. Or, better yet, how is “Bleed Cubbie Blue” doing with all this? Bleeding chunks I guess.
