Our friend Genre is coming back home.

by

As mentioned in the previous post, our good friend Genrebuster is coming home to visit for a bit sometime in June. As of right now, the best chance of everyone attending is the weekend of June 24th. If he can only make it the weekend of June 3rd, most of us could still make it. In order to make the trip a little bit easier for our guys Jimmy D, Keith and Mike, I am going to once again make the tentative plan for us to all meet up at the Brat Stop in Kenosha. Let’s try to get this done folks.

And yes Irish Yeti, Scott said you are invited. Only if you promise to bring your stat book and stay away from Chucky.

The weekend of June 3rd is definitely out for me guys. That’s my weekend at Road America. I leave the morning of June 2nd and come back home the evening of the 5th. My work schedule afterward may make this problematic too. I am swamped. It’s conceivable that I won’t even have one day off until June 2nd.

But I’ll do my best. And Yeti, if do I go, let’s get along and not fight. We can disagree, but on my end, I’ll keep it civil. Deal?

Honestly, I’m just too goddamned old for that.

    “if do I go”?

Where the fuck did that come from? Let’s try “If I do go”.

I highly doubt Yeti would come. He lives many hours away in the sticks.

    Fro,

Obviously, Kenosha is a “happy medium” for us guys up in Wisconsin, but with enough notice, we can make arrangements to meet up at the Cubby Bear or Murphy’s or anywhere around Clark & Addison.

Fro, I hope you’re wrong. I sincerely hope that Yeti can make the trek. I think things will be just fine once we have a chance to meet one another.

    Later,
    Jimmy D.

Chucky, maybe it’s my after work beer, but you sounded like Yoda there for a second! πŸ™‚

    Yoda is invited, too.

2 games in a row now that the opposing pitcher has worked themselves into a mess by loading the bases….and 2 games in a row that Mr. Clutch (Soriano, for those of you who don’t know what I meant) has struck out in that situation; letting the pitcher off the hook. Boy, I’m glad that you hit all those meaningless, solo shots. Big fucking deal….you’re still a hack. When the pressure’s on, you turn to shit. Great job Jimbo (locking Soriano up for a lifetime).

  8. Jimmy D.'s avatar Jimmy D. Says:

I’m sorry…I forgot to mention that those 2 games in a row, the pitcher’s loaded the bases in THE FIRST INNING!!!! SORE ANUS is still a piece of shit, non-clutch hack!!!

  9. Matt Stairs Superfan's avatar Matt Stairs Superfan Says:

There was a game a couple weeks ago where the Scrubs had the bases loaded and nobody out in 2 different innings and only scored 1 damn run (On a double-play). That is horrendous. I want to ask our fellow stat geek Irish Yeti how he feels about this team having the 2nd best batting average in the league yet are falling to the cellar of the division. You see Mr. Yeti, even though they have one of the best batting averages, they clearly get most of those hits when it doesn’t matter. You see how stats can be misleading? Let us know what your argument will be after this.

Guys! Something real crazy happened Monday night in the Baltimore/Boston game.

Baltimore was up 6-5 in the 9th inning and Kevin Gregg was in to shut the door. Can anyone tell me what happened?

    I’ll give you a hint…Boston won it on a walk-off hit.

    Now that’s serviceable!

  11. genebuster's avatar genebuster Says:

    Kevin fucking Gregg strikes again!!!

Andrew MacFAIL continues to work his magic!

    Psssssstttttt….(Andrew: Hire Jim Hendry!!)

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

I apologize, am so out of touch with the Cubbies…

…is Sorry-O-No still doing the bunny hop whilst attempting to catch the ball?

    Good day to you all.

I have been reviewing current data on this Chicago Cubs professional baseball team, comparing it to previous data collected since 2004.

My conclusion is this: the Angle of the Dangle is still Whack (ADW).

In other news, my lab has confirmed that Thomas Ricketts’s dna includes the “B-AA chromosome”.

    Fondly, Albert

Guys, just wanted to throw this out there; rest in peace Harmon Killabrew. One of the nicest people you could ever meet; got to meet him when I was with the Muskies in ’84. My autographed ball sits right next to my Bob Feller ball, and my Robin Yount/Bob Uecker ball.

    Cubbies lose another one!

    Isn’t this fun Tommy Ricketts?
