Even though the Bulls played like crap last night, it wasn’t until a late run by the Heat that sent them to the W… One takeaway could be that even when the Bulls don’t play “near perfect” they can definitely beat this team. The chances that you would think that? Well, those are as good as the Cubs winning a WE, amirite fdbcommenters? LOLZ
My bottom line is that I have never been an NBA fan. Growing up in Madison, it was almost my birthright to become a Bucks’ fan, and beside winning the NBA title in ’71 and a couple late runs in there occasionally, they haven’t been on my radar screen. I followed the Bulls with MJ and company, but it still really didn’t matter with me. But with the amount that I listen to The Score, it’s hard not to pick up on some things. One, Derek Rose is one of the classiest guys in the game today- I love the fact that he’s actually from Chicago. Thibadaeu turned a good team into a great team. Luol Dang, all of a sudden, isn’t as injury-prone as he was under Vinny. Coincidence? I doubt it. Mike North likes Vinny for some reason- then again, Mike North is a complete douche. Even if this team doesn’t beat Miami, anybody who actually gives a rat’s ass about the NBA should be proud of the steps they’ve taken this year. Personally, I sure hope the Bulls win the whole damn thing! Okay, out of beer, time to run to the liquor store!
Would somebody tell me why they won’t end the Samardzija project. Goddamn it, that fucker can’t pitch. Let him go back to football, or selling insurance…anything but pitching!!! Christ!!!
I want you to be right. However, you can play all the great defense you want. If your team cannot do the simplest thing in basketball (Or sports in general) and make a free throw, you won’t go far nor do you deserve to. I will once again say that they missed ten free throws last game which ironically (again) was the difference in the game.
Chris Berman, Stuart Scott- I just want to punch them all in the face really hard, especially Berman. His shtick has just gotten REALLY old. I don’t know if it was The Score or some other website that wanted people to list their 5 most hated sportscasters, and I listed Berman at 1 and 5, along with Stuart Scott, Joe Buck, and some other asshole from the Booyahs!
“I do not listen to Cowherd, only heard of him. What has he done or said to piss so many people off?”

He thinks he can read minds; he can tell you why Brett Favre came out of retirement to play for the Vikings without even asking.
He thinks he can psychoanalyze coaches, players, and even whole countries. He knows why New York is the greatest sports town, and why the women in Chicago are less likely to go out with athletes, etc. etc. Yes, he actually said that.
He thinks he know everything about everything, and if you call him on it he will tell you you’re just jealous.
I have listened to sportstalk radio for forty years, and I have never heard a more pompous jackass in my entire life. He’s worse than Cosell ever was.
If you can last more than five minutes listening to his show you deserve a purple heart.
Ernie, I kinda like Cowherd at times…same with Rome. Both have their moments…including what could be interpreted as pompous or self-righteous behaviour…but I find them more fun to listen to than the hipster wannabe jackasses at ESPN. IMOP, ESPN is a mere shadow of what it once was back in the day.
So, will my Purple Heart be arriving anytime soon….can’t wait! 😉
Ernie, thank you, you hit it on the button with gasbag Cowherd. Scott, I won’t hold it against you that you can tolerate him. Rome I like except the whole schtick with the soundbites is really getting old, and so many of the “clones” are just a bunch of egomaniacs who probably don’t have much of a life.

Fro –
I am picking the Bulls to win in seven:
1. Because we simply cannot allow the ESPN sponsored Heat to win.
2. The Bulls play better defense.
3. Did I mention we cannot allow the Heat to get to the Finals?

35% from the field was the difference in the game

Ernie, we can never allow ESPN to get any satisfaction from ANYTHING! Overrated bastards! (ESPN that is.)
May 21, 2011 at 7:25 pm
Mike,
Every year, I despise ESPN even more. You already know how worse it becomes especially after the Brett Favre Splooge Fest.
May 21, 2011 at 9:57 pm
Fro….The LeBron James Spooge fest was even worse.
And yes, I meant Spooge fest.

Oh yeah, the other one was Colin Cowherd- what a pompous, self righteous asshole!

…the clones are idiots for sure. I appreciate the break on Cowherd…I don’t listen to him often so maybe I’ve caught him on his better days (?)…
