As last week goes, I’ll try to chime in when possible as I’m watching this game at work.
Another preseason comes to a close where the players are nameless and faceless. That tells you how shitty this franchise is. I refuse to say it’s me getting old as to why I can’t remember faces or names of the players. They all just suck.

I know it’s preseason. Duly noted.
But can this PATHETIC defense please not allow a team to score on the first drive for a change? The Bills drove right down the field with ease for a touchdown.
It seems that we have seen the defense give up points on the opening drive every game for the last 20 years. Enough.

How does a team get a false start on a punt?
Answer: It’s the Bears.

Bagent looks really good again. I’m not going to be upset about the interception. If Carlson catches that ball, it’s a touchdown. And even on the interception, it appears Daryce Fountain ran the wrong route.
With the defense, same old shit. It’s unfortunate that they still don’t know how to tackle, especially on the run. So many missed tackles.

It’s the same shit with this team. It’s a group of players who are undisciplined. Seven penalties. They can’t tackle. They can’t cover receivers. They can’t do much at all.
Sure, there is a bright spot or two. But really, it’s all about the wins and losses. And this team appears to be headed for only four wins this year. I think I said four or five last year and they ended up having less than that.

Hey, Fro Dog. Long time, no see! I’m looking forward to suffering at the hands of another Bears season.
It has been my observation that the better a team does in the preseason, the worse they do in the regular season. Vice versa, the worse a team does in the preseason, the better they do in the regular season. The Bears went 3-0 in the preseason last year and finished with the worst record in the League. In 2010, the Bears got swept in the preseason, but they made it to the NFC championship, not to elaborate further on what happened afterward.
By the way, Happy 15th Birthday to the website! Lotta good history! I’m glad you mentioned how the blog was cited in Kenny Albert’s Wikipedia article as him being the ‘kiss of death of Chicago sports’. I don’t know what happened, but we got booted off the cited sources, and the mention of Kenny Albert being the ‘kiss of death’ got deleted. Some ediot, not a typo, must have taken exception to us. Man! What a shame!
Full disclosure, speaking of Kenny Albert, I’ve actually been following this blog all the way back since 2015, when I looked up Kenny Albert’s Wikipedia page on happenstance and found this. I remember wondering what was the source for the claim and finding the link that read ‘Fuck Robby Gould. Fuck Kenny Albert with a rusty fence post.’ I sure had a good laugh when I saw it and the rest of the blog, and I’ve been keeping track of you guys ever since. It was only around 2021 that I felt brave enough to join the discussion.

John,
The words are appreciated. Thank you. And your posts are more than appreciated here. And if you just read it, that’s fine too. There are many who just read this site and they are just as important as the ones posting.
Someone must have recently took that part out of Kenny being the hex to Chicago sports. Although I will say I felt it ended a couple years ago when the Bears came back to win a game with him announcing. I believe it was the 2020 game against the Falcons for Foot Long Foles lead a comeback.
Regardless, I still can’t stand his voice. So damn annoying.
