That was written two months ago. The Bears had a quarterback and didn’t know it until the preseason started. Tyson Bagent appears to be the backup.
As we have witnessed over the years, there have been some who played well in the preseason and have sucked when the games matter. Caleb Hanie comes to mind.
But this does feel different. And as mentioned before, it’s just a matter of time before Justin Fields gets hurt. The Bears need an actual quarterback to be the backup. I was a bit pissed that they signed P.J. Walker and for the money he was given. But he could have been the third string and have Nathan Peterman fuck off for good. So Ryan Poles still fucked this up even after getting it right.
Seriously, how does a team cut someone with limited success but keeps the person with no success? It’s baffling.
Regardless, with the waiver wire sure to be full of potential signings, it’s time the Bears find yet another quarterback who has some potential. Maybe a rookie from another team that played well and didn’t make the roster there. Keep stocking those rookie quarterbacks and see what happens.

The Bears have already cut two of their draft picks from this year. Travis Bell and Kendall Williamson.
Shouldn’t draft picks start or be in another viable role immediately? That’s what drafts are for.

I said the Cubs need to sweep Milwaukee to get the division, and putting Taillon to start the first game tells us all we need to know about this team- they do not have the pitching, either starting or bullpen, to compete with the big boys. I think the Reds will catch em and the Cubs will end up in third place out of the playoffs. Get better pitchers and get rid of Ross for next year.

Bailey Zappe was available. The guy who kicked ass last year while Mac Jones was hurt. I was surprised Belichik made him the second stringer again. It stalled his momentum.
The guy had success in the NFL. Peterwhacker has had zero success. Zappe goes to the practice squad of the Patriots.

He’s trying to pass up Dustfuck Baker on how many arms he can run through a goddamn shredder. Ross hasn’t got a fucking clue how manage a pitching staff. He never lets anyone go past six innings, which means wearing out the bullpen. How many games has Alzolay pitched in a row? He’s going to destroy these guys just like Dustfuck destroyed Kerry Wood and Mark Prior. I think the talent is OK but are managed by a clueless asshole.
