If Ryan Poles making stupid decisions isn’t enough. Matt Eberflus is right behind him.
Somehow, someway, Nathan Peterwhacker was spared of the casualties known as roster cuts. P.J. Walker should have been the third string. But what happens? The statistically worst quarterback in NFL history is the backup to Justin Fields.
Once again, it’s “Dumb And Dumber” with this fucking franchise. Ryan Poles and Matt EberLOSE are at the helm.
Where the fuck is Jerry Angelo to sign Todd Collins? IT’S WORSE THAN THIS. The entire league is laughing at the Bears’ dis-organization. Fuck Ryan Poles. Fuck Matt Eberflus. PATHETIC.

I knew you’d have something to say about this fucking bullshit, Fro. This is fucking embarrassing now. This Hampton and O’Bradovich survive this season. It won’t be pretty.

Cubs have one good starting pitcher in Steele – their greatest lefthander since Holzman – they have one good relief pitcher in Alzolay, and a few good hitters. I don’t know how they keep winning, but I still don’t believe they can keep this up. What say you Chucky, do you think they can keep this up even with Ross as their dimwitted manager?

Ernie, I don’t have a fucking clue what to tell you. This team is playing great baseball right now. If they keep this up going into the playoffs, I’d be terrified of going up against them. David Ross is a goddamned moron, and the team looks more like the Bad News Bears. They’re playing way over their heads. Do I think they can keep this up? I don’t know. I sure hope so, despite my dislike of Ross.
And that’s about all I can really say Ernie. I’m sorry I can’t say anything more.

Ernie and Chuckster,
While I’m in the same boat with you regarding Ross, I believe that this team is not only real, but potentially lethal.
One would think that Ross (having been a catcher in the major leagues) would know how to handle a pitching staff. Time and time again he proves that he doesn’t know how to handle a bullpen.
The starting pitching is solid, but more importantly this team has chemistry and looks to be having fun. There isn’t a single “egomaniac” in the bunch. Suzuki is getting really hot, we are patient at the plate (averaging 4.2 pitches per plate appearance) and not trying to do too much.
All of that being said, we have Bellinger to thank for ALL of this. Without him doing what he’s been doing…we’d not even be talking about the playoffs.
We shouldn’t have pissed away those 2 games last Friday and Saturday against the Reds. That was painful to watch. I think that there are 2 games that we can look back on and say “those games put us into the playoffs”. Those would actually be 2 games against the Sox. The first one was the one where Tauchman went up and over the wall to steal a home run away after Alzolay served up a meatball in the 9th. The second one was the one where Morel hit the walk-off 3-run shot in the bottom of the 9th…after Fulmer had struck out the side in the top of the 8th after the bases were loaded. That kept us within striking distance, and boy did we capitalize on it.
This team is patient, is seeing and hitting the ball really well, plays solid defense, is having fun and doesn’t pretend to be something that they aren’t. This could be a really fun thing to watch. BUT, there are times where the bats just go silent…and we can’t have an extended period of that shit…or we’re DEAD!
Later,
Jimmy D

Jimmy, my man! It’s been too long. Please keep checking in. I, for one, has missed your posts. And regarding what you just said, well done, sir!
Fro, I hate to tell you this, but we lost another wrestler. Do you remember Sheik Adnan Al-Kaissy, or General Adnan from the old WWF? He died yesterday at the age of 84. This is starting to really fucking suck. So many of the guys I grew up with, that we all grew up with are dying. I keep wondering who’s next.

So, I guess the Cubs can’t beat Arizona. Second loss in a row (1-0) and this one is on Ross for not knowing how to use his bullpen effectively. This could be the beginning of the end for Cub postseason play. They usually start losing games like this when they are ready to fold. Chucky, Ross isn’t the answer for their managerial needs, I agree, but neither is Maddon. This team needs an experienced baseball man as manager, not some analytics meatball like Aaron Boone.

Maddon? Is he thinking of coming back?!?!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA…just kidding, Ernie.
Sorry to be AWOL for so long guys…2023 has been a very challenging year for me so far. I hope to resume contributing my nonsense before too much time passes.
