It’s been four years since I’ve been to Soldier Field. Ironically, it was the season opener back then against the Packers that the Bears appropriately lost. This Sunday, I may very well be there again. I have been very busy the last few weeks and am exhausted. I haven’t seen a victory in-person since 2016. Needless to say, it’s time for a change. We’ll see what happens.
Regardless, I really don’t see this team winning more than five games and five wins seems optimistic. What’s sad is that if I wrote “the Bears can’t find someone competent to be the general manager or head coach”, you could say that in any of the past 30 years.
It’s fucking annoying and frustrating. And we were proven that again with the news last week that Nathan Peterwhacker was back with the team. And even worse, it was announced the other day that he is the backup quarterback. Are Ryan Poles and Matt EberLose blind? Fuck both of these dipshits.
Your thoughts in the thread. As always, the recap will be up at some point Sunday evening.

I understand your need for a diversion, and your being tired because you work hard(and I know you do pal), but I kind of have to question going to watch what is sure to be a massive beatdown on this half-assed organization. Personally, and this is me and me alone, I’d rather attend something a bit more fun and cheerful.
Like a plane crash.

Did anyone see the Chiefs lose yesterday? Sure, receivers dropped some big passes.
But let’s not forget the wonderful play-calling by the amazing offensive coordinator, Matt Nagy. I remember that playoff game in 2018 where the Chiefs were up big and blew it to the Titans.
As we all know, the Bears were so eager to higher him, that they outbid themselves to do so about a week after that debacle. “I’ll grow from that.”
His first game as the coach of the Bears? Blow a 20-0 lead to the Packers.
So while the Lions winning isn’t good for the Bears in terms of the standings, it was somewhat gratifying seeing Nagy piss himself.

Fro and Chucky, I have been a Green Bay Packer fan and a Boston (New England) Patriot fan since 1963 and what I have observed over the years is that success or failure in pro football rests mostly on who the coach is. Dan Campbell of the Lions is a great illustration of that premise. This team has been a failure for decades, but now they have a man who has instituted discipline and motivation on these guys and its starting to pay dividends. The Bears need a coach like that. I also am not sold on LeFleur with Green Bay, and Belichek is acting like a prima donna these days. Good coaches, talent being the other, is what makes for success. The Bears organization is dysfunctional, and has been since Ditka left.
September 8, 2023 at 7:32 pm
That’s an excellent analysis Ernie. My compliments. Every bit of it made perfect sense. You’re absolutely correct about the Bears. They’ve been a dysfunctional mess since that fucking idiot Michael McCaskey fired Mike Ditka. And I’ll ask you this one simple question: What’s been the one common denominator with the Bears dysfunction? Yeah, you guys know the answer, don’t you?
September 9, 2023 at 4:43 pm
Thanks Chucky my friendt. And as I stated on the other thread, that loss to the Diamondbacks the other day is usually the beginning of the end for the Cubs. They start to fold the minute the pressure begins to build and now they’ve lost three in a row. The only time they didn’t fold in the last 100 years was in 2016, and that was a fluke. As Genre would always say, “Tik – tok- Tik – tok… the clock keeps ticking.
September 9, 2023 at 8:39 pm
Yeah Ernie, it’s starting to look like they’re sinking, and sinking like a rock. Steele puts up a good performance today, and yesterday Taillon pitches like his entire career depended on it (too bad he wasn’t like that earlier in the year!), and what happens? They shit the goddamned bed at the plate. Two runs total in 19 innings of play. And tomorrow they’ll go out there and score 17 runs.
Typical Chicago Cubs. Contrary fuckers.
September 10, 2023 at 3:05 pm
I hope you have a good time, Fro Dog. Enjoy the game as much you can. Maybe we’ll see you on TV. But . . . all things considered, all I can say is Bear Down and batten down. Hope Justin Fields makes your money worthwhile.
September 10, 2023 at 3:47 pm
Hi all,
Looks like the Bears Missionary Defense is in full swing already. Missionary because everyone the Bears defense encounters converts..
September 10, 2023 at 4:00 pm
I’m starting to think that Aaron Rodgers sold the Bears to Jordan Love. I hope Love didn’t pay out too much for them, they aren’t worth a flying fuck.
September 10, 2023 at 4:08 pm
What is with this franchise and bubble screens that never go for more than a yard?
Fuck this entire franchise.
September 10, 2023 at 4:17 pm
Typical Bears. Get in the red zone and completely fall apart. Field goal.
Why won’t this shit ever change?
September 10, 2023 at 5:16 pm
Fro, it’s four little magical words.
THE MOTHERFUCKING MCCASKEY FAMILY!!!!!
September 10, 2023 at 5:17 pm
As bad looking as last year already.
September 10, 2023 at 5:28 pm
10 game losing streak is headed to 11. Unmitigated disaster.
September 10, 2023 at 5:47 pm
It was never Aaron Rodgers – It was and is the Bears.
September 10, 2023 at 5:49 pm
Men, I ask you to read this. It’s the staff predictions from 670 The Score.
https://www.audacy.com/670thescore/sports/chicago-bears/670-staff-predictions-bears-packers-week-1-2023
Only one guy had the sense to realize that this game was going to be a goddamned blowout. And it’s from some no name guy I have never heard of before. All but two of them predicted the fucking Bears winning this game. THEY’RE AS FUCKED UP AS THE GODDAMNED BEARS!!!!!!
Seriously, fuck this goddamned radio station. They’re not even a shell of their former selves. They’re worse than that. And another thing: I’m not unloading on just the Score alone. Every fucking media outlet in this goddamned city sucks off this horseshit organization like they’re the fucking second coming or something, with the exception of two men: Dan Hampton and Ed O’Bradovich. Doug Buffone was another one, and I think he died from the stress of all of it. I’m sick and fucking tired of it, goddamnit! It can’t be left to these two guys to be the only ones willing to speak the truth. I’m quite certain they’ll have a whole hell of a lot to say about today’s debacle. The rest of the media in Chicago can go fuck their mothers for all I care anymore. Each and every one of you useless shit rat cocksuckers are fucking dead to me. You will have absolutely no credibility until you start calling out the true criminals in this shitstorm: THE GODDAMNED MCCASKEY CRIME FAMILY!!!!!! Until the media does that, fuck them all!
September 10, 2023 at 5:58 pm
The Bears are turning into the Cubs.
September 10, 2023 at 6:00 pm
At this point I’ll take the Cubs over this goddamned abomination of a supposed NFL franchise John.
September 10, 2023 at 6:03 pm
I am so sorry, Fro Dof. This game wasn’t worth burning your money.
September 10, 2023 at 6:12 pm
Shane Riordan: Bears 32, Packers 10
The state of Wisconsin was built on cheese and alcoholism. Over the last 33 years, on the day that parents pick up their newborn’s birth certificate — at the Mars Cheese Castle — they’ve been committing that child to nothing but success in their football fandom. That reign ends this Sunday. Fields rushes for 100 yards and throws for 250 yards while the Packers’ defense looks like Swiss as Moore scores his first two touchdowns as a Chicago Bear. Not very Gouda for Green Bay. Love is embarrassed by a dominant Gervon Dexter, who records his first three NFL sacks.
September 10, 2023 at 6:13 pm
Honestly, I remember the Bears playing a game almost of the exact score 9 years ago!!! Nothing has changed, Chucky, you’re right!! Our offensive line is as bad as it was 10 years ago!!
September 10, 2023 at 6:20 pm
They just showed a side-by-side comparison of Jordan Love’s and Aaron Rodgers’ first game against the Bears.
LOVES STATS ARE BETTER THAN FUCKING RODGERS!!!!!!!!!!
MY GODDAMNED HEAD JUST EXPLODED!!!!!
I HATE THIS GODDAMNED TEAM!!!!!!!
AAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
September 10, 2023 at 6:22 pm
Well, Rochonne Johnson played well. The O-line and defense still suck. Greg Olson should be heeded, I think.
September 10, 2023 at 6:27 pm
I just turned on the radio to WGN. They’ve got a show on right now, something I’m not real interested in, but I just heard O’Bradovich losing his fucking mind, screaming about the missed two-point-conversion. I hope to GAWD that he survives today’s post-game show.
September 10, 2023 at 6:28 pm
Well, another Bears season for the graveyard.
September 10, 2023 at 6:30 pm
Alright, the stove is officially on under Eberflus’s arse.
September 10, 2023 at 6:31 pm
Well, the stove is officially on under Eberflus’s arse.
September 10, 2023 at 6:35 pm
How about stuffing Eber-Loser’s fucking ass in the oven on turning it up to 500 degrees? Screw the stove.
September 10, 2023 at 6:35 pm
Sorry. My comments don’t show up right away. I don’t know if the post.
September 10, 2023 at 6:37 pm
Do you remember what it was once like to win games? Me neither. Or beat the Packers.
September 10, 2023 at 6:42 pm
Nothing like a good Bears loss to put you in a bad mood.
September 10, 2023 at 6:43 pm
Good job Jordan Love it is nice to see a Packer win without that spacecase Aaron Rodgers flipping his mood ring to see if he should go or stay. Good luck, Jets, you can have him! But I do hate to see my Packers beating the Bears only because of my friendts Chucky and Fro. Bears need a new coach and Jim Harbaugh would fit the bill.
September 10, 2023 at 6:46 pm
O’Bradovich just said something chilling. Fields has started 34 games. His record is 5-29. And this punk-ass-bitch is a franchise QB?
BULL-MOTHERFUCKING-SHIT HE IS!!!!!
And in a whole shitload of offensive stats you want to know where he ranked? 32nd. One stat he was 38th. This is not a franchise QB. PERIOD!
September 10, 2023 at 6:47 pm
I would highly anticipate with performance yet another 3-14 season, with possible wins over the Broncos, Panthers, and Cardinals maybe. Well, look forward to the 2024 draft.
September 10, 2023 at 6:49 pm
This common denominator is the McCaskey family. They need to sell, but ik Chicagoland will never boycott this shitty franchise. I mean look at how often they vote for the shittiest most corrupt mayor every cycle. They’re morons and the mccaskeys know it.
Poles will be fired in 2-4 years, Flus maybe even sooner. Then the mccaskeys will say they’re committed to bringing home a single championship for their to be deceased mom. Fans will say “it’s different this time”. Fans induce themselves into a state of amnesia. Rally around a new young QB who sucks. Say it’s different this time. Wash rinse repeat
September 10, 2023 at 6:56 pm
No worries Ernie. I’m fairly sure Fro expected this outcome. I sure as fuck did.
One thing that I’ve been saying for years now, that every time this (dis)organization changes the coaching staff, everything about this team stays the same. Play calling, nobody playing preseason games, regular season game planning, pre and post game press conferences, every fucking thing about this team remains the same! I swear to fucking god, the goddamned McCaskeys are calling all the shots with what is going on down on the field. I just know it. Every fucking coach they’ve had since Wannstedt has been a fucking carbon copy of each other. The fucking McCaskeys have to fucking go! They are a goddamned embarrassment to the NFL!
September 10, 2023 at 6:57 pm
I’m afraid to say that your cynicism is becoming increasingly warranted, Chucky. The Bears aren’t just turning into the Cubs, they’re becoming the Browns and the Lions, too, though I guarantee you that BOTH teams will have better seasons this year than the Bears. Yes, Justin Fields has a lot more to prove about himself. For gosh sakes, even Trubisky had a better win-loss record than him. And at this point, Eberflus is looking at having a worse win-loss record than Marc Treatment!!!! This team is without a doubt the worst team in the NFL, just like they were last year, and nothing seems to be changing!!
September 10, 2023 at 6:58 pm
Grant, 100% correct.
September 10, 2023 at 7:07 pm
Time to call Soldier Field a factory of sadness?
September 10, 2023 at 7:26 pm
OK, I just heard perhaps the dumbest fucking phone call into the post-game-show in history. Some douche rocket named “Anthony” called and said he was at the game, and blamed the shitty play and bad game planning on……..THE FANS???? And not in the fact that the continue to show up and support this goddamned shit show, oh no. It’s the fans fault for……NOT SUPPORTING THEM ENOUGH, NOT BRINGING ENOUGH “ENERGY” TO THE FUCKING STADIUM!!!!!!! THEY DIDN’T SHOW UP THERE TODAY!!!!!!!
In one respect, I agree, it’s the fans fault. It’s idiot asshole fans like “Anthony” who keep showing up expecting that their “energy” is going to be transmitted to the players. Here’s a thought for you, Asshole Anthony: These players make millions of dollars. THEY SHOULD PLAY NFL CALIBER FOOTBALL AND NOT ACT LIKE FUCKING GODDAMNED PRIMA DONNA BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
September 10, 2023 at 7:27 pm
And no John, it’s not time to call Soldier Field a factory of sadness. It’s time to call it a shithole for fucking losers.
September 10, 2023 at 8:24 pm
We should have known from the get go. Poles or the past two GMs have done absolutely nothing to fix that porous offensive line. He had all those draft picks. The later round ones should have been all offensive linemen. Fields is too dumb to be anyone’s starting QB. He doesn’t even have the sense to throw the ball away, his dumb ass takes a sack running down the sideline. Eberflus is supposedly a defensive coach but our defense is horrible.
September 10, 2023 at 8:53 pm
Anytime I need a good laugh I just go to this post and scroll through the comments. I was born and raised in Chicago. A Bears fan for years. I have lived in the South now for decades. I much prefer the beautiful winters we have. I gave up on the Bears when they chose Trubisky over Mahomes. That was the dumbest move any franchise has ever made to date in the history of the NFL. I would like to thank all of you for your posts. I laughed so hard. Einstein described the Bears management so well years ago when he said, “Stupid is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.” Boy does that ever sum up the Bears front office.
September 10, 2023 at 9:31 pm
Chucky, really? Is the guy on drugs? This is what I meant by delusional fans and the mccaskeys know it.
“It’s our fault”
“You’re right let’s boycott this team and force the nfl to force a sale”
“No we need to be more supportive”
Like wtf we have been. We’ve been the most loyal fanbase in the league. Even the browns made burrow look bad today. We made Jordan love look like Aaron Rodgers. It’s fucking dumb that our fans think what’s needed is more support lol. We pump so much money into that shitty team, we need less support
September 10, 2023 at 9:53 pm
Grant, I couldn’t believe that guy either. I’m sure Hampton and OB just looked at each and thought what the fuck, man. It reminded me of the time some dork called in to Buffone and OB at the Score after a Bears game and asked them a question about the White Sox. Seriously. Buffone was like, “What, is guy drunk, or something”, and hung up on his sorry, stupid ass. I’m amazed sometimes that these morons actually remember to breathe.
