The Bears have traded for pass rusher Montez Sweat. And it won’t matter as long as the current regime is still employed.

Ryan Poles and Matt Eberf-LOSE are still employed. While some may argue that Poles has made moves that have made sense, he still hired Eberf-LOSE and that is enough for me to say that he hasn’t earned another opportunity to find a head coach. Fuck that.

Wow. Does this mean they think they can actually compete?

They think they can compete. But we all know they can’t.

Also, the Bears just fired yet another coordinator for bad behavior.

If the Raiders can fire a shitty head coach with a better record, the Bears can do the same. Where is George at?

Another mistake as stupid as the Bears tracing a second-rounder for Chase Claypool last year. In fact, it’s near the exact same one! Montez Sweat was going to become a free agent at the end of this season, so not only did the Bears pointlessly trade a valuable second-rounder for a player that they could have gotten in free agency anyway while keeping the pick, but they have also now jeopardized their two first round picks of where they will be picking at by making themselves (potentially) more competitive. At this point, they should be embracing the tank, not trading for players as if they’re just missing a few key pieces. They’re in a REBUILD!! And that second-rounder will be a damn near first-rounder considering where the Bears will likely be finishing!

Why do the Bears keep trading 2nd rounders for guys who are due to make big $? You’re supposed to find gems with those picks (e.g. most of GB’s wide receivers during the 2010s) and have them at a cap friendly deal for four years. The Bears aren’t a piece away from contending so trading them away is one of the dumbest things they could do…

Guys, I was thinking the same thing. He’s a free agent after this season. What’s the point of trading for him now?

And let’s be real. The Bears have been in a “rebuild” for the last 30 years. Other than getting Urlacher in 2000, they haven’t done shit. There isn’t a prayer for us fans to ever have a competent general manager to make competent picks.

Well, if there is any doubts as to what I said about waiting for the shoe to drop on Tyson Bagent, he’s thrown 3 INTs today and fumbled away another. The Bears just can’t help themselves from committing critical turnovers. Almost every game they lose is because of these things.

Also, good way of beating yourself through penalties.

The Bears couldn’t muster a game-winning or game-tying drive if it callomed off the uprights and hit them in the ass. If they get into crunch time, you know they’re screwed. On that final drive I was just waiting for that game-losing interception. Fumble? Nice. It’s good to see that Tyson Bagent can play like a poor man’s Justin Fields, worst tendencies and all. Haven’t beaten the Saints since 2009. Having five turnovers will do that to you.
