The weather calls for cold and windy. BEAR WEATHER?
I’m just playing. We all know the Bears tend to suck even more when the conditions are shitty.

This is why Luke Getsy needs to fuck off. It’s 3rd and 2 and the backfield is empty for a play? Everyone knew Fields was running it up the middle. GIVE IT TO A RUNNING BACK. 4th down? Let’s try some fuckery with D.J. Moore.
What a fucking idiot.

I don’t know, Fro Dog. Eberflus looks like he might be starting to get his act together. First back-to-back wins since 2021. The defense is looking a lot better. Justin Fields, while not Tom Brady, is slowly gaining consistency. Caleb Williams’ draft stature is dropping, and the Panthers are going to be giving the Bears one fine bargaining chip at No. 1 overall. If the Bears trade, they might have a bright future ahead. They’re looking not unlike how the Lions did last year nearing the end of the season. I think with a few more wins Eberflus should have himself another year.

Beatdown! The defense is getting better at sacks and turnovers. But Getsy needs to get outta town. Back to back division wins. QBR between Justin Fields and DJ Moore is #1 in the NFL this season with a value of 146.0, might not be a good idea to break them up, even with two supposed high-level QBs in the draft. Caleb Williams got picked by Notre Dame’s defense 3 times earlier this season, and the other QB isn’t doing so great either.

The defense was outstanding. But as Dave pointed out, Getsy needs to leave. The Bears should have had 40 points easily. Not just the drive I mentioned earlier. In the fourth quarter, there was a 3rd and 2 where Fields tried to pass to Mooney in the flat. RUN THE FUCKING BALL. Again, that would have chewed up more time even if they didn’t convert. Then late in that quarter, it was the same with him trying to throw a deep pass to Moore.
The offense made this game much more difficult than it should have been.

OK, now let’s get back to reality. We can debate whether is was a nice win today, but long range, this win is a fucking disaster. Let me explain: The Bears are NOT going to the playoffs this year, not unless they have already bought tickets. They will probably drop further in the draft order for next years draft, and if they get one or two more wins, Eber-LOSER fucking stays. Mark my words, that’s EXACTLY what will happen. And if Eber-LOSER stays, you can bet your fucking ass Luke Getsy stays too. Listen, I want the Bears to win, and win for a long time to come. I want the Bears to go back to crushing the Packers like they did in the 80’s. Today’s win, while it’s a nice “feel-good” moment today, set them back, especially if they rattle off two or three more wins. Fucking George will give this asshole coaching staff one more shot, and they’ll finish two games under this year’s record. Mark my words.
And now Hampton and O’Bradovich seem to be at each other’s throats with OB kind of saying that Hampton thinks all of a sudden that Eber-LOSER is some great coach, which he isn’t, and Hamp didn’t say that anyway. At any rate, something strange has happened the last few weeks, and now all of a sudden, my conspiracy hat just got a lot tighter. It seems lately that Eber-LOSER……IS actually coaching better than he did the last year and a half. In my world, the light doesn’t just pop on like that. You all know my feeling that the McCaskey Crime Family has been tampering with the coaching of this team, and dictating who plays, and what plays are called, dating all the way back to the early 90’s. Now, suddenly, it doesn’t really look like that anymore. I still think the McCaskeys are involved, but have they backed off of interfering a little bit? Am I wrong, or did it seem like Fields tried to stretch the field a little more than usual today? Hell, maybe I’m completely batshit crazy to think all of this, but something doesn’t add up here, even in the bizarro world known as Halas Hall.

Goddamn, this hopefully doesn’t happen too much more in the future. I had to turn off the post-game a half hour early this afternoon. It just became unlistenable. These fucking knuckle dragging neanderthal old men calling in from waaaaay down south with their stupid, bullshit stories from the fucking 1930’s(!) just got to be too much! As if their dumb-ass stories weren’t enough, they had to have a southern drawl so bad it was hard to understand them in the first place. If Andy Masur is unable or unwilling to put a stop to this shit he needs to be replaced! Goddamnit, even Mark Carman was better than this! If this bullshit keeps up it’s going to kill the fucking show. If any of you old fuckers out their think people give a flying fuck about how “your “grandaddy” used to drive George Halas around in a taxi cab in the 30’s” you’re out of your senile old mind! I can’t believe the shit people talked about today. If I had my way, I’d throw all of you motherfuckers screaming from a helicopter, but only after I’ve bashed you several times in the face with a piece of heavy mining equipment!
FUCK ALL OF YOU OLD BASTARDS!!!!!!!!!!!

At this point, Chucky, I don’t see how blowing up the coaching staff would improve things. Justin Fields would be forced to work with an entirely different coaching system and offensive coordinator, his third in four seasons. And even if not him but Caleb Williams or Drake Maye rather, you would essentially be starting over the Bears’ rebuild while they are still in the midst of a rebuild. And what’s more is the pool of coaching candidates this year is not particularly great this year. Read the article I linked to. Apparently, there has been so much turnover as of late in the offensive coordinator position that the NFL is thinking that it may have to do with the poorer offensive play this year. I honestly feel that swap out Eberflus and you’ll just get more the same, or worse. I’ll give him credit, he’s got a workman approach kind of like Mike Tomlin and Lovie Smith. That’s a more consistent and sustainable trajectory than the trend-chasing flame-outs Marc Trestman and Matt Nagy had. He’s also got positive energy to him and doesn’t feel burned out like John Fox did.

One more thing, Chucky . . . be grateful that we don’t have David Tepper as our owner. Makes me wonder if Panthers fans have a darkness blog of their own somewhere. He has single-handedly turned them into the new Browns.

chucky for the WIN!!!!!!

CHUCKSTER!
I didn’t turn the postgame show. But damn, it was very bad. Did bad Bears’ football for the last 35 years make many of these men senile as you say? What did we do to deserve this? I certainly pray I don’t end up a meatball like them.
Also, to your first comment, there is only way Eberf-LOSE keeps his job. It’s if the Bears win out and somehow get the consolation-prize playoff spot (seventh seed). Then, run the table in the playoffs as well on the way to a Super Bowl victory. I also think it’s possible that I will get five super models in my bed at the same time.

I understand where you’re coming from, John. but I must respectfully disagree with you, and I’ll tell you why. First of all, keeping this coaching staff intact would not help Fields in any meaningful way. This staff is getting him killed out there because of a lack of coaching and preparation and poor coaching. At best he may get a chance to salvage his career, which face it, is floundering under Eber-LOSER and Getsy, and at worst could be line for a career ending injury. Personally, I’m not sold on him being an NFL caliber quarterback. His only hope is to start all over again.
Is starting a rebuild all over again really such a bad thing? It’s not like the current rebuild is going anywhere. I read your article. I’m OK with another defensive-minded head coach. Just not the one we have now. Nor another Lovie Smith. We spend a million years trying to get rid that fucker. That positive energy and a quarter will buy a cup of coffee. They only drawback I see from changing out this regime is that the people in charge of hiring don’t exactly have a stellar record in hiring competent coaches, dating back to 1992, will again being doing the hiring.
Not to be a dick or anything, as far as David Tepper is concerned, I frankly don’t care what the Panthers, and any other team for that matter, do. I care about what the Bears do.
December 10, 2023 at 9:37 pm
Fro, I wish I could be as certain about Eber-LOSER’s prospects of staying. I just can’t. Past history has turned me into a gigantic cynic.
December 10, 2023 at 10:05 pm
I’m seeing the same kind of fuckery with this Eagles-Cowboys game as well. 3rd and 3 with just under 10:00 to go. The Cowboys pass? You need three yards and can at almost another minute even if you don’t convert the first down. Instead, it’s a field goal and two touchdown game now. Imagine if the Cowboys got another touchdown and put the game away.
If anyone is wondering why the offenses suck in general this year, it’s shitty coaching. Matt Nagy costs the Chiefs yet, another game.
December 11, 2023 at 10:06 am
Fro, why the fuck did the Chiefs hire Nagy back? Did they not see the shitshow he put on here in Chicago? Weren’t they paying attention? Makes me wonder about the brain trust in KC.
December 12, 2023 at 1:16 am
Chuckster!
Just remember that Matt Nagy was the one who blew it for the Chiefs in that playoff game against the Titans in 2019. The Bears were stupid enough to hire him immediately after that game. He said he was going “grow from that”. Yeah, the first preseason and regular season game with the Bears resulted in blown leads for losses. The rest is history.
Just watching the last two weeks proved that the Chiefs left a lot of points out there. Even the Almighty Mahomes can’t overcome that garbage play-calling. I’m just glad he’s no longer our problem.
