As I said before, keep Justin Fields and draft Caleb Williams as an insurance policy. So many are insisting that if the Bears take any quarterback in the draft, that they must trade Fields. Why? They have Fields under control for one more year along with a team option for a fifth year.
If Fields still sucks, then trade him at the deadline or pick up the fifth year and then trade him. It’s simple as that.

That’s a loaded question, Fro. For the moment, I just want the Bears to go the fuck away. I don’t want to even think about them. That’s how fucking pissed I am with them.

Guys, let’s keep a good thought for the newest Bear Hall of Famer, Steve McMichael. He was admitted into the hospital sometime today with suspected pneumonia. I’m kind of fearing this may be it. This is incredibly sad for me. McMichael was my personal favorite from the 85 team, even above Jim McMahon. I don’t want him to suffer, but I really hope he can hang on long enough to get into the Hall. Goddamn ALS fucking sucks.

Correction: Mongo is ICU for a urinary tract infection. I had early intel when I posted my last comment. Still give him some good vibes please. They showed him and damn near cried. I fucking hate this!
Fuck it, I am going to go cry for a while.

The earlier reports said pneumonia. Who knows what is going on. But damn, this is just sad to see. That who scene of him on the bed breaks anyone’s heart. His wife was honored at the season opener along with a bunch of a former Bears throughout the years. That was probably the only highlight of that damn day at Soldier Field since the team decided not to show up.

Mongo deserves a better fate than this. This is truly tragic. You’re so right Fro, it is heartbreaking. You may not be old enough to remember this, but some of favorite moments was when he co-hosted Sports Sunday with Mark Giangreco in 1991-1992. He was a riot when he just completely abused Giangreco the way he did. Sometimes Debra joined in on the fun. Those shows were so good I taped them! And fortunately, I got them put on DVD to preserve them. I should bust that thing out and play it.

I don’t know who is dumb enough to bring up Poles’ race. It’s asinine.
The fact is that this team has failed to progress. I actually think the Bears closer to contention by keeping Fields than bringing in Williams to replace him. The goal is to win a Super Bowl every year. Which of those two gives them the best chance?
History tells us that no matter who is the quarterback, it will be the same result. And as I’ve said before, this entire franchise needs to hit the “reset” button. I literally said the entire front office (owners included) need to go. Fire the ushers, concession staff, janitors, secretaries, etc. Get fresh faces all over the place.
Ridiculous, I know.

Fro, I don’t know if you’re watching Raw tonight, but they just announced that Ole Anderson passed away today. I’m kind of surprised they did. I think there was some serious bad blood between them. But good on the WWE for paying tribute to Ole.
Rest in peace, you crabby old son of a bitch. I know this Horsemen fan will miss you.

I finished Raw last night and heard the story on Monday. I heard some crazy stories about him back in the 80’s.

I’m not sure about any crazy stories about Ole, but I can tell that he was one tough son of a bitch, a no nonsense guy who went out and just completely dismantled his opponents. I have watch a few videos on YouTube with Ole and Ricky Morton, and damn, he really hates Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair. I mean he seriously HATES them, especially Flair. Ole literally called him a piece of shit. I think he just really got ornery in his old age, because he really tore into him.
And sadly, I just found out that Mike Jones, AKA Virgil, passed away today too. He was just 61. Way too young. But he was battling a lot of health issues too, including dementia, and he had a couple of strokes too. This year is getting kind of rough.

I really didn’t hear about Ole until the whole Horsemen thing came about. But when I did find, I was seriously hooked. He was just a great, old-school heel who knew how to dismantle people. Something that’s completely lacking today.
