The Bears trade their fourth-round pick for Keenan Allen.

by

This is another sign that the Bears are going to part with Fields at some point and annoint Caleb Williams the starting quarterback. If the Bears were going to keep Fields, then this trade doesn’t go down. Marvin Harrison Jr. would have been drafted instead.

Did the Bears pay a fair price for a player in the last year of his contract? Does anyone feel any better about the Bears being a better team after this?

The Bears just traded Fields to the Steelers. I’m kind surprised at their stupidity. Didn’t they learn anything about Chicago quarterbacks, especially after signing Turd-Biscuit?

The Bears got fleeced for Fields, he was worth way more than what they got for him. Fields will win games for the Steelers, probably many of them.

I think they intend to sign Keenan Allen to a long term contract just as they did with Montez Sweat. You don’t give up a pick that high other than to make the first bid for his contract.
