The Bears also signed Illini defensive linemen Keith Randolph Jr. Being an Illini fan, I am rooting for this guy. Him and Jer’Zhan Newton were beasts on the line the last couple seasons. If he is given an actual opportunity, I think he can be a steal for this team. The Bears were terrible last year getting pressure up the middle and stopping teams on third downs.

They got their first two guys, the guys they really wanted. OK, that’s a good thing. But I’ll stand by my belief that Matt Eber-LOSER will be a disaster for them. I have no idea what this new OC is going to do, but if my suspicions are correct, it won’t matter. The fucking McCaskeys still own the team, and right now they’re more interested in trying to grift a billion dollars of taxpayer money, and I still think they have some influence with the coaching staff. Yes, I still think they’re pulling the strings behind the scenes, and really fucking up how this team plays. My reason for thinking this way: This team has played basically the same way, with the same shitty play calling, for the last 30+ fucking years. Any playoff appearance, the Super Bowl they lost to Indianapolis, was done in spite of the McCaskey family and the goddamned idiots they hired for coaches. My prediction for the 2024-25 season is 5-12, a last place finish, Caleb Williams will be injured in game #7, and knocked out for the rest of the year. In short, a really ugly-ass season ahead. And Williams will get a new head coach and OC for the 2025-26 season, and the whole cycle that we’ve seen time and time again, will start all over again. Buckle up boys, it gets bumpy from here.

Well, if the Bears can’t get good off of this lot, they never will. They’ve gotten everything they could have wanted. The time for excuses is over. Time to perform and make Chicago proud. Bear down.

I mean, come on. They have got to make hay with these guys! They have never had a better wide receiver corps than this since 2013 when they had Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffrey, Michael Bennett, and Matt Forte, which was also the year that they had one of the best offenses in the NFL, finishing second in points scored. If only their defense had played the way it had in 2012, only a year earlier…..looking at you, Chris Conte. If only your coverage was as complete as body tattoos. I always seem to remember you being the guy scrambling five yards behind the receiver you’re supposed to be covering and you being the one that the other team’s QB always launched the deep pass against. Touchdown celebration.
Chucky, gas up the chainsaw and give it a buzz when they report to training camp, will ya? And keep the heavy mining equipment parked outside. It is past time they swept the Packers (2008). I actually have never even had the privilege of witnessing that in all my 14 years as a Bears fan! I have only seen them beat the Packers twice since I started watching them! (2015 & 2018)

No worries, John. Everything is on “standby” but is ready to go. The chainsaw is gassed and lubed up, the heavy mining equipment is loaded up and ready, and if that isn’t enough, I have a helicopter on standby and I’ll have my wooden cooking spoon ready as always. Not to mention I have a very nice collection of rusty fishing knives that I have left outside during all these storms we’ve had lately. They’re nice and rusty now! Rest assured, Poles and Eber-LOSER won’t know what fuckin’ hit them!
