Reason #17,037 why Thursday Night Football is fucking stupid.

by

Here it is again. Another major injury that could have been prevented by common sense. Tua Tagovailoa has yet, another concussion. But what makes it even worse is that this is the second one he’s had by playing on a Thursday.

I know what some may say. “Injuries can happen on Sundays, too.” Or “Tua is injury-prone.” While those statements may be true, the fact that his career is basically over now due to two injuries on two different Thursdays didn’t need to happen.

This is on Roger Goodell and the owners for putting greed over safety. They don’t give a shit that the ones on the field are human beings with families. Fuck anyone who approved of this shit and fuck them for proposing 18 games which will further oversaturate the league.

Thursday Night Football (and possibly throughout the entire week), Week 1 games on crappy fields in other countries, 18 games, constant rules changes….

Ironically, both Tua and Jordan Love were holding out this past summer to get paid. This is why…

Also, ratedgprodigy = Pie in the Sky. Log-in system doesn’t let me use that name anymore apparently

I am worried about Tua’s future brain health. I know that CTE technically comes from sub-concussive hits, not concussions themselves, but still. Yeah, regarding 18 games, I agree. But it gets even worse. Doing so means they’ll have to insert in a second bye week, and there is talk that the NFL season will have to be pushed up to Labor Day weekend to start, and pushed out to the weekend before President’s Day weekend to finish! That is too bloody long! From September almost to March! The beauty of football is supposed to be that it’s not like baseball or basketball or hockey: the games themselves actually matter, and we value them because there are so few of them (16 is fine). But bloating it like this, and with what college football is doing alongside and the new College Football Playoffs, and it’s too much. But . . . football is profitable. That’s why.

Yeah, it’s stoooopid, alright. And to make it even worse, the Bears have two fucking Thursday games, Thanksgiving in Detroit, and Dec. 26 at Seattle. If, if….IF the Bears do make the playoffs (I won’t take that bet) they’ll be really beat up.

SHOW DA FIRE AND PASSION, MY FRENDT!
