As expected, getting into the playoffs will be extremely difficult for anyone contending. Outside of the Vikings and Lions, every team has at least two losses. Even with the consolation seventh seed, the Bears will have a battle on their hands.
I know it’s *only* six games, but this seems to be the case for the remainder of the season. It’s not a certain that the Vikings will win the division. But appears they are on that trajectory to do so. I would say the Rams and Panthers are done. That leaves seven teams fighting for the consolation prize seventh seed. One of those seven teams are the Bears.
There is little or no room for error. Two of their last wins were against two of the worst teams not just the NFC, but the entire league. But soon, they will be playing contending teams including every team in the division. After the game against the Patriots on November 10th, every game will be against teams fighting for playoff spots. 11 games to go. It’s one of those years where 10 or 11 wins may not be enough to secure a spot. Can the Bears really win eight games out of those remaining? History tells us they won’t because of their track record. Even generally speaking for other teams, that is a difficult task.
The Bears will need some help from other teams to try to get them in. Obviously, they can take care of business themselves by winning eight of their remaining games to get in.

Ah, have faith, my long-time fitness frendt! I’ll categorically state right here and now, the Bears win be watching the playoffs just the same way we will……at home on the sofa. Keep in mind this: The Bears are 4-2 and haven’t played a game against a divisional opponent yet. Quite honestly, I fully expect no more than 1 win out of those six games, maybe none. That alone will keep the Bears out of the playoffs. Let’s look at the rest of this season.
Sun, Oct 27 @ Washington Loss
Sun, Nov @ Arizona Win
Sun, Nov 10 vs New England Win
Sun, Nov 17 vs Green Bay Loss
Sun, Nov 24 vs Minnesota Loss
Thu, Nov 28 @ Detroit Loss
Sun, Dec 8 @ San Francisco Loss
Mon, Dec 16 @ Minnesota Loss
Sun, Dec 22 vs Detroit Loss
Thu, Dec 26 vs Seattle Loss
Sun, Jan 5 @ Green Bay Loss
Automatically I’m not seeing the Bears win any of the six divisional games. I’m sorry, but they just aren’t there yet. And beating shit-ass teams doesn’t impress me. So right there, we’re at 4-8. Throw in an easy win for the 49er’s and we’re at 4-9, and another losing season. Washington seems better and with playing at home, I’ll give them the win, and now we’re at 4-10. Arizona and New England both suck raccoon balls, so they go to 6-10. That leaves Seattle on the Thursday after Christmas. I see them being hungover from the holiday and another short week thanks to that cocksucker Roger FUCKING Goodell, and another loss, putting them at 6-11. I hope to hell I’m wrong, but seriously, do any of you guys see this going any differently than I do? I hate like hell always being Debbie Downer but sitting here watching this shit for the last 40 years, and especially the last ten, I refuse to delude myself with this fucking team anymore. And I hope you forgive me for doing this kind of scatter shot.

Yup, I’m an idiot.
“The Bears win be watching the playoffs” should be the Bears WILL be watching the playoffs. Forgive me, it’s been a long day.

I like the way that he chews his retainer in his mouth while playing rather than sticking it in. It reminds me of Clint Eastwood’s cigarette stance. I just hope he doesn’t choke on it when he gets sacked.

Okay, we can make picks for the rest of the season, I’m game. Of course I am applying my strongly evidence-based glass half full approach. I understand, that given past experiences, its hard to believe the Bears are improving significantly right before our eyes; but its happening, in all facets, including the coaching believe it or not. Watch that video I posted in the previous thread, or Chase Daniel’s analysis of some of the same plays if you want a more neutral evaluation of the offensive improvements. Bottom line, a defense holding opponents to 21 points or less for 12 straight games and a much improved offense, (yeah yeah, strength of schedule yada yada yada) gives me reason to believe they will be competitive against division opponents. You look at some of the throws Williams has made and realize that several of them are virtually indefensible, especially those back shoulder catches made by Moore and Allen in the past couple games. There will certainly be more of those in the future. Also, even a bad Bears team last year beat the Vikings on the road and the Lions at home. I will give them 3 wins in these division games, though the Bears might be able to sweep the Lions, I’ll say Detroit wins their home game for now.
And absolutely no way is Jayden Daniels beating the Bears defense, especially the secondary, which analysts say even the second and perhaps third string corners are starting caliber anywhere else. The Bears defense even beats Caleb Williams with pass blocks and interceptions in practice more than half of the time.
With that said, I’m now going to make my picks:
Sun, Oct 27 @ Washington Win
Sun, Nov @ Arizona Win
Sun, Nov 10 vs New England Win
Sun, Nov 17 vs Green Bay Win
Sun, Nov 24 vs Minnesota Win
Thu, Nov 28 @ Detroit Loss
Sun, Dec 8 @ San Francisco Loss
Mon, Dec 16 @ Minnesota Loss
Sun, Dec 22 vs Detroit Win
Thu, Dec 26 vs Seattle Win
Sun, Jan 5 @ Green Bay Loss
Final result: 11-6, perhaps no playoffs due to how good other teams are, but a winning season nonetheless.

I just can’t get on board with this team. I also will say I had a mistake in the post. All of the wins the Bears have had were against teams that only have one win so far this season.
Titans and Rams are 1-4.
Jaguars and Panthers are 1-5.
Who have they lost to?
Texans are 5-1 and Colts are 3-3.
Yes, you play the teams you are scheduled against. But this is BAD. They need to beat those teams that are contending. That starts with the Commanders a week from Sunday.
