I have no idea what Thomas Brown is going to do. This move reeks of desparation from Eberf-Lose.
So now, Thomas Brown is in charge of trying to get this inept offense of scoring points in an effort to save the sinking ship that is the 2024-25 season.
Eberf-Lose is still the coach. Ryan Poles is still the general manager. Until those things change, the play on the field will continue to be mediorce. The defense is still in shambles. They keep giving up points right before and halftime. They keep giving up points when the game is on the line. It’s not just the offense that is the issue.

Thomas Brown briefly had OC duties at Carolina, he was not that good, but only called a handful of games. Granted, Carolina’s offense did perform better when he called plays, and the Panthers’ failure to develop Bryce Young was more the result of the previous playcaller. He was also under McVeigh with the Rams and worked as a running back’s coach, but was often McVeigh’s main assistant coach. He has been described as head coach material for his knowledge and leadership style. So is he good, or just a product of McVeigh’s system?
We’ve had this system coach before under Nagy, who was thought to be a good coach, but was really a product of Andy Reid’s system. Does a poor job as a head coach, but his offense is doing just enough in KC to maintain their undefeated record. Matt Nagy will again be an HC candidate at the end of this season, and I would not put it past the Bears in attempting to bring him back. It seems like a very Bears thing to do!
Thomas Brown will be thrown right into the fray with his first test as OC against the Packers with a broken O-line and a confused rookie QB taking sacks at a record rate because he does not want to throw interceptions. Good luck, you’re gonna need it!

The Bears have finally cut offensive linenan Nate Davis
But not without paying him $20 million.
Eberf-lose has lost control of the locker room. This is Trestman all over again. Players are fighting and taking sides. Calling out coaches. Everything. This is a mess.
PATHETIC.

I hope the Bears aren’t expecting me to be impressed with these moves, because I’m not. They can give me a call when the team has been sold.
