He’s here. Now what?

by

Ben Johnson is coming to town and bringing Dennis Allen with him as the defensive coordinator.

This is just a start. We can’t get too excited just yet. But the Bears did get the best possible candidate.

Seven picks in the draft coming up. Go draft five offensive linemen and two secondary players. Tell Tyrique Stevenson to fuck off.

Get to work, Ryan.

Now let’s pay attention to how he coaches. If he turns out to be a fucking carbon copy of every goddamn coach the Bears have hired since Ditka, then we’ll know without a doubt that my little conspiracy theory about the fucking McCaskeys interfering with the head coach holds a lot of water. I think we’ll know before the end of September.

Don’t know if you all read this article on ESPN.com several days ago about agents packaging GM and coaching hires.

    https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/43439332/nfl-coaching-carousel-2025-agents-package-deals-consultants-goodell-concern

“Since 2018, agent and ex-Chicago defensive end Trace Armstrong and his agency, Athletes First, have represented two fired Bears head coaches, Matt Nagy and Eberflus; three fired offensive coordinators, Mark Helfrich, Luke Getsy and Shane Waldron; as well as current general manager Ryan Poles.

‘I’ve never seen one agent have so much influence on one team and had so little success, but they keep going back and taking his guys,’

This had me worried that we would get another hire just because Trace Armstrong represented them.

Ben Johnson seems like the “best” choice, and breaks this inane cycle of hires, but I reserve judgment as
I have no faith in this organization.

He’s here but I don’t think the Bears will get him , you know they’ll fuck this up !!

Contract signed. I think he is now the highest paid Rookie HC in NFL history with annual salary of $13M.

He loves what Caleb can become and had his children pose in front of Caleb’s locker while touring Hallas Hall.

What had been happening behind the scenes was this former Bears player turned coaching/GM agent had too much power in influencing hires, that is how Poles and Eberflus got in so fast. Kevin Warren apparently stepped in to stop this, it just took some time to convince George McCaskey. They were talking about it on the score that Kevin Warren is strength in the midst of weak ownership and a potentially weak GM. But, Johnson is apparently excited to work with Poles and Poles was one of the reasons why he chose the Bears, though he may bring in an advisor to the GM. (LOL is he an idiot, Fro?) Kevin Warren wants to be the NFL commissioner someday, so it seems he won’t fuck up the Bears job. Change is coming, and it looks like winning change.

OK, now I’m a little nervous. I just saw a clip on GN Sports of this guy saying this: “Philosophically, I believe in similar to what you might call a blast from the past…..John Shoop.

GAWD help us if he coaches like fucking Shoop! Don’t get too cranked up on this guy just yet. We may well be in for a huge disappointment.

    Chuckster!

I was thinking the same thing listening to the press conference live. Absolute insanity if John Schoop and Adam Gase are people you look up to when it comes to football. Both of those sad excuses for offensive coordinators were garbage with the Bears. And Gase was a failure everywhere else he went. Fuck that.

I get everyone’s excitement. Maybe this will work out. But I have every right to be concerned after those comments.

And we also reserve the right to be skeptical too. At this point, how could be anything but skeptical of anyone that this 30-year shitshow hires.

Fro, do you remember why you said you hated David Haugh so much a long time ago? Well, he’s another reason to add to your long list.

I heard a bit of the completely pandering bullshit interview with new Bears coach Ben Johnson. Now, I can’t remember exactly what Haugh said, but he started a bullshit discussion about, wait for it now…….JOHN MOTHERFUCKIN’ SHOOP. It wasn’t bad enough to just mention this STOOOOOOOPID cocksucker’s name, oh no, he had some really nice, flowery words for this fucking moron. Fro, I ask you, what the hell can we do to get these two idiot assholes, Mulligan and Haugh, fucking fired from the goddamn Score? This fucking bullshit has to stop!

  9. Fro Dog's avatar Fro Dog Says:

I listened to the interview. I am still puzzled as to why he loves that guy for football reasons.

And what I’m more fired up about is that you mentioned David Huh? and his stupidity. This guy just won’t go away. He even does the shows for Chicago Sports Network in the evenings to make sure no fan dodges his stupidity.

I use to love Mully when he was with Brian Hanley back in the day. If you rememeber, The Score brought in a dipshit named Jimmy DeCastro many years ago who made a ton of changes. Long story short, he is no longer there and it’s obvious why. He fucked over Hanley and brought in David Huh? to replace him.

I remember him also bringing back Dan McNeil and moved Spiegel to weekends. Nobody asked for that. He did a bunch of other shit as well with shifting people around.

I know you and I agree on this next part. Steve Rosenbloom doesn’t have a full-time gig. If he was by himself or with Mark Grote for a few hours a day, I would listen. He’s one of the few I don’t disagree with at all when it comes to these teams.

  10. chucky's avatar chucky Says:

Yeah, I remember DeCastro. What a fuckwad! Brian Hanley was one of the smartest guys at that hole-in-the-wall radio station. But moving Spiegel to the weekends didn’t bother me. The less I hear that moron the better. And I’d love nothing more than punching McNeil right in the fucking nuts, small target that it is. I’ve never liked Mulligan. UGH! Bernstein has sucked ass ever since Terry Boers retired. You basically said it yourself Fro, there’s only one guy there who is worth listening to anymore, and that’s Rosie. It fucking sucks he’s only allotted a part time Saturday gig, and all major holidays. That station has become a total suck-ass shithole, and it’s on the goddamned suits who don’t know their collective asses from third fucking base.

Incoming Bears coaching staff looking pretty good now:

    Head Coach: Ben Johnson
    Defensive Coordinator: Dennis Allen
DB coach/Passing game defense: Al Harris
    Offensive Coordinator: Declan Doyle
Assistant HC/WR coach: Antwaan Randle El
    QB Coach: JT Barrett
Richard Hightower will be retained on Special Teams, which is just fine.

Still a few more coaching positions to sign, including special teams. It seems like what is being reported is that George McCaskey, thanks to advice from Kevin Warren, finally has at least some clue on how to build a competitor and the coffers are fully opened for good coaches and free agents this offseason.

SHOW DA FIRE AND PASSION, MY FRENDT!
