This will be the last post for a little while (unless something stupid happens in Chicago sports). And the way things are going with the teams I follow, something stupid is bound to happen.

You know Fro, I’m starting to worry a little bit about our little dark corner of the internet. I’ve noticed a big drop off in posts, and in the number of people who have posted here. Do you know where all of our friends have gone to? I really hope you don’t end up shutting this whole down because nobody’s left.

Hey man. It’s just the way the site has been the last two or three years.

It’s sad to see it. At the same time, this site has been up and running for almost 17 years. And with the way the internet has evolved, that is more than a success. I am not shutting this site ever. For me, it’s 17 years of archives to go into.

I spoke to Jimmy D. last week and was supposed to see him when going up to Raw in Green Bay. But as he knows as well as most who know me, my job takes a lot of my time. That morning, I was dealing with my work and having issues with orders. I was unable to see him for lunch.

Genre was also someone I texted months prior. He’s busy with his work and been handling some business.

A lot of other websites like ours have seen major declines over the years. Even some wrestling sites I’ve went to comment on in the last few have seen drop-offs.

There are several factors. Obviously, life has gotten in the way of many who use to post here. It usually picks up around football season. But as time goes on, many just find other places to go. I am not upset about that and definitely don’t take it personally. Even I don’t come here as often. But I also believe it has a lot to do with the world we live in. So many others are preoccupied with life’s daily activities and society around us, that places like this one are forgotten. You also have to factor in social media. I refuse to get Twitter or any other form of it. This place is just fine for me.

I also believe it’s due to shitty Chicago sports. Exhaustion set in. Yes, we all came here because of the teams being horrible.

You already know I appreciate the support. I think it will pick up around football season. But yeah, this place was once the epicenter of the internet’s darkest corner. I am still thankful for the archives and go back to some of them every once in a while.

Regardless, despite numbers being down for visits in the last few, I still feel there are some who just read the site and don’t comment. I remember some days where this place would probably get 10-15 comments from various people. But the site hits would be in the neighborhood of 100-200 visitors (it goes by IP addresses).

Hey Fro, I have another name to add to your list of Chicago sports radio morons: Bruce Levine. I caught a few minutes of “Inside the Clubhouse” with this dipshit and David Huh? this morning, and I could actually feel brain cells dying! He has the same way of asking questions that Huh? and that fucking useless, brain-dead Mike Mulligan has, slow meandering, and usually talking about 4 minutes to get to the goddamned question! More often than not, I have to ask myself “Is there a question in our future?” Add to that he does a commercial for some insurance agent named Jeff Vukovich where he sings “Jeff Vuk.com is on your side!” which sounds even worse than fingernails on a chalkboard. Levine has never once been a listenable radio host, even dating back to his days at ESPN 1000. How do fucking morons like Levine and Huh? get radio gigs? AND HOW IN THE FUCK DO THEY GET TEAMED UP TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bruce Levine has been one I’ve discussed here at some point over the years. And I very much agree. I couldn’t stand him with ESPN 1000 and when I hear him on The Score, I immediately change stations.

Again, this is all on Jimmy DeCastro (who is no longer there) along with Mitch Rosen (who still is there). And since CBS Radio became Audacy, more stations were under that umbrella and apparently, Rosen also runs a station in Milwaukee.

    Corporate America, I suppose.

And even though DeCastro has been gone for years, that dipshit Rosen is still there putting David Huh? on every damn show imaginable. And this gives me a chance to give another “fuck you” to CHSN for also putting him on two different talk shows back-to-back on weekdays.

Mitch Rosen can fuck off as well.

Maybe after we get rid of Ryan Pole Dancer we should aim our sights on Bitch Rosen.

    Just a thought.

Fire Mitch Rosen as the header of this site would add some humor. But I still wouldn’t. The Score being shitty doesn’t bug me as much as the Bears continuing to suck for the last 35 years.

I’m still here Chucky. I don’t comment, but I still check in and read what’s going on. Hope all is well.

    Which qualifies as more stupid?
The email to season ticket holders about a new venue when said venue does not even have shovels in the ground, or a new five year extension for Ryan Poles announced today?

  9. Fro Dog's avatar Fro Dog Says:

    EXTENSION.

    Fuck this team!

SHOW DA FIRE AND PASSION, MY FRENDT!
