Has it really been that long? Fuck. I know I write this kind of message every year.
We’ve seen it all here. Mostly the negatives. Our teams always finding ways to lose. It’s what brought us here in the first place all those years ago.
As the demise of these types of websites continue, I am holding onto this place as long as I can. As always, traffic generally picks up during football season. All I can say to everyone is I send a sincere amount of gratitude for reading and/or posting.
If you are someone who doesn’t post much or at all, feel free to contribute at any time. You are all welcome here. Some of us have been here since Day One back then and even before that at the old “Fire Dusty Baker” site. These sites gave us some solace in a very bad time in our sports lives. Whether you agree or disagree with what is said on here, I will tell it like I see it. If I feel a player sucks, I am going to say it. And knowing who our teams are, it is a certain that someone sucks on a team.
Again, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate all of you reading. Whether you think I suck at all of this or am decent, it’s appreciated.

17 years? I remember working a security job listening to Mike Murphy on the score and him talking about checking out a website called Fire Dusty Baker. That was around 2005. Since then we saw some of the greatest hockey played and a Cubs world series, so not all horrible. Anywho it’s been a ride.

Dude, thank you so, so much for keeping the candle lit in our dark little corner of the internet. Honestly, without this little forum for me to unleash my fury and rage, I don’t know where I’d be. Probably developing a raging, bleeding ulcer by now. Sports in this shitty city is enough to drive someone to do shit that they’d normally would never do. It’s been that frustrating. But you already know that. What surprises me the most is that most Chicago fans of all four major teams seem ok with it all! Personally, I’d like to rip the throat out of some of these asshole executives who think that they know better than many of us fans, and that a successful season is making more money than they did last year. Well, FUCK THAT BULLSHIT!!! I’d like to think we had a hand in getting rid of some of the trash that had infiltrated our teams, over and over again. I don’t know, but I hope we did.
Again, thank you Fro for keeping this going. I know of at least one crazy madman with a chainsaw who appreciates it.
