Three close friends and I went to this game together and we had a great time. One is a Cowboys fan and we all felt it wouldn’t matter what the outcome was. As I said last week, the season is done. I went into this game with no expectations. I am happy they won, especially since Matt Eberf-LOSE was on the other side as the defensive coordinator.
The problem with this game? I’ve seen this before. I’ve seen a young quarterback for the Bears throw multiple touchdowns in a game. Remember Mitch Trubisky throwing for six touchdowns in a game against the Buccaneers? Or that game two years with Justin Fields tearing up the Redskins/Commanders/Football Team? Now let me say, I still think Caleb is much better than those two. This team should have had at least four more wins last year with Caleb driving the team down the field. It was other circumstances that caused the team to lose those ones.
The defense is still a fucking mess. And apparently, there are more injuries. Giving up big plays and thankfully, the Cowboys stalled. Against this defense? Sheesh.
To my good friend and reader of the site Dave, sorry. Not going to change my stance on Tyrique Stevenson. Ripping the ball away doesn’t take away all of the stupid he’s done prior to that. He can help the Bears win the Super Bowl and I will still say he should have been cut last year. And since the Bears will never make the Super Bowl with him on the team, he can fuck off.
The offense, well, still not happy. Darnell Wright seems to have a quota in his contract that he must commit at least three penalties a game. Keep in mind, Ryan Poles drafted this guy in the first round.
The Bears go to Oakland Los Angeles Oakland Las Vegas to take on the Raiders.

Goddamnit, all the sports geeks on tv and radio are just gushing over this fucking game! IT’S ONLY ONE FUCKING GAME! Let’s see what they do in Vegas. And then they get an early bye, and then they go to Washington. What’s going to happen there? Are they going to drop another 50 spot like they did when that goofy fucker Trestman was head dork/coach. Talk to me in January when we’ll know if this team and coaching staff are legit. This is NOT the time to proclaim them as Super Bowl contenders, and I sure as hell am not jumping on that bandwagon yet.

Yep , don’t drink the kool-aid , this Poles built roster is a train wreck that will derail as it always does ! Poles gets an extension for losing , how’s that possible , it’s because the McCaskeys reward losing . This is just more of the same old clown show !

Welp, I find myself even more in Stevenson’s corner now after an interview I heard today. He was talking about how he’s trying to improve as a player, and all the extracurricular things he’s doing to help that along: Eating right, watching film, practicing harder, and taking his meds(something over the counter that improves energy and focus for his ADHD). Well there you go, perhaps an explanation to what’s been going on.
As a father of a potentially neurodivergent 4 yo son, I have some empathy. But it sounds like Stevenson is responding to good coaching, let’s see if he can string some good games together.
