I can only think about that cold Monday night 15 years ago when a bust by the name of Corey Wooten sacked Brett Favre (who was playing for the Vikings) and it ended a 17-year nightmare for the Bears. Favre never played another snap after that. It was the only thing worth a damn that Corey Wooten ever did. Unfortunately, two years prior, Favre was succeeded by Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay. When that happened, more futility ensued. Heartbreak after heartbreak. Ass-kicking after ass-kicking. Favre tormented my childhood and Rodgers tormented my adult life.
Today, if Rodgers is indeed playing, the Bears have an opportunity to do the same thing: End the 17-year nightmare.

Aaron Rodgers is out, Mason Rudolph is in. Let’s see how this plays out.

I like how the Bears are having the best season they’ve had in years and barely anyone here cares. But I don’t blame anyone. I think our expectations are so low that it’s difficult to process them not losing nearly every game.

John,
Here is the problem with us trying to enjoy it: We’ve seen the Bears fall apart when it matters most. I have witnessed this horseshit franchise fuck up over and over again. They won the division in 2018 with a bald dipshit coaching them. He lost not only that playoff game that year. He lost at least two regular season games they should have easily won due to his stupidity.
And don’t even get me started on the Lovie Smith era. That was atrocious.
So yeah, it is difficult to get excited about this team. All of the games this year have been heart-attack inducing. It shouldn’t have to get to this point.
