I was on a plane watching the first half of this game. I spent the second half watching it from my car before heading home. I refuse to listen to Jeff Joniak.
If this was any other team, I highly doubt the Bears win by this same score. Yeah, I am going to complain about Ben Johnson’s display of stupidity with the play-calling and clock management. 2nd/3rd and 1 and this fucking guy is calling pass plays? I am tired of seeing this shit. One of those drives, Santos misses the field goal. Another instance was before halftime where it was 2nd and 1 and two straight pass plays go for nothing. Then, the Bears got the ball again before halftime and Ben Johnson ran the clock all the way down instead of driving to get closer for either a field goal or Hail Mary.
Thankfully, the defense showed up when the Browns didn’t. Shedeur Sanders was picked off three times. It didn’t seem anyone other than Myles Garrett wanted to be there. The weather was awful and whoever had the better running game was going to win. The Browns couldn’t get much going and Sanders was forced to throw often. Many passes didn’t even reach the intended receiver.
These last three games are probably the most difficult of any team playing. Packers, 49ers and Lions. The Bears must win at least two of these to make the playoffs. Anything less and they will be watching them from home.

Dude, were you in DC to watch Cena’s last match? if so, catch the reply if you haven’t already. Somebody who looks remarkably like you and dressed in a WWE ref’s shirt is all over the broadcast. It’s kind of cool talking to someone who, as the late, great Burt Reynolds said, “is your basic famous”. (Outtakes from Smokey and the Bandit 2)
As for today’s game, I guess it’s lucky for the Bears that they played a team as shitty as Cleveland. Personally, and I’ve been wrong before, I think we watched the Bears last win of the season. Green Bay has a fucking curse on this team. No way in hell are they going to San Francisco and winning there. And who better to dismantle Ben Johnson and his boneheaded play calling (or is that George’s play calling. I don’t know.) than the Lions. I’d say history kind of points in that direction. I still worry about Hampton and O’Bradovich having a coronary on air. Buckle up men, this is going to turn ugly in one hell of a big ass hurry.

I was there and had one of the best seats in the house. It was a good night despite the fans shitting on it for no real reason. I was honored to be there.
If Ben Johnson can stop being a fucking idiot, then the Bears have a chance. The Lions would need to lose two more games if the Bears can’t win one of these last three. I just don’t know if that is possible.
Today, the Bears received a ton of help by the Packers and Lions both losing. Too bad the Seahawks didn’t either. That would put the Bears in an even better position. But I’ll take what did occur.

Damn, I don’t even want to think about how much you had to shell out for that ticket and then add in the plane ticket on top of it. Had to be a lot of coin for all that.
Fro, I don’t know what happens to these head coaches once the Bears get a hold of them. Whether it’s the McCaskeys inputting useless ideas in the game plan, or if the water at Halas Hall is spiked, it always seems like they get stupid as soon as they sign their name on the contract. Whatever the problem is, I’m too damn old to emotionally invest in this bullshit. And to answer your question, last Thursday I turned 62. And with the mileage I’ve put on my old carcass, I’m a hell of a lot older than 62. I’ve got the surgical scars to prove it!

I guess I should know what to expect now coming to this page, even after a crushing blowout win. “Nattering naybobs of negativism.”–former US VP Spiro T Agnew.
Anyway, Poles’ moves this season and even last season are looking more good than bad, even if he was helped this season by the new coaching staff. I honestly can no longer call for his head. The offseason trades and free agent signings of offensive linemen are paying dividends. Draft picks referred to as busts by tenured members of this page continue to improve. Darnell Wright annihilating pass rushers, Coleston Loveland doing the same thing, then coming off his block and catching a pass. Luther Burden III breaking ankles like a seasoned NBA player and gaining yards after a catch. Ozzy Trapilo who was pathetic in training camp and early in the season is now improving his game and holding his own against seasoned pass rushers like Parsons and Garrett, even if he still needs occasional chip help from Thuney or a tight end. And big surprise performer, 7th rounder Kyle Monangai is running angry between the tackles. Swift is doing the same thing now instead of trying to get to the edge and escape. Caleb Williams was looking like Aaron Rodgers carving up a very good pass defense on Sunday and setting a new NFL minimum interception record for 1000 pass attempts. Ben Johnson is likely on a short list for NFL coach of the year. Poles also made in season moves to help shore up the severely injured secondary and linebacking core.
I think we beat Green Bay on Saturday night, even if Parsons was playing, because this team learns from mistakes. Nope, I just can’t be negative.

Dave,
I never mentioned this. But it’s part of my contract of having this site to contain at least one optimist to comment. If you weren’t here, I wouldn’t be allowed to have this site.
We love you, man.

Once again, Bears cast a wider net in stadium search
Fro, my longtime fitness frendt, I have but one question for you. Only one: Are you as tired of this stupid fucking bullshit as I am?
December 17, 2025 at 11:02 pm
As soon as I saw that on the news, I wanted to find Kevin Warren and punch him in the throat.
It is fucking annoying that this idiot has a hard-on for a new stadium. It’s obviously a ploy to try to get the state to pay for a new stadium in Arlington Heights.
Kevin Warren provides zero positive value to this franchise. Can you believe this dipshit shows up in the locker room after wins? What exactly did he do to improve the team on the field? Unless he drafted, traded for or signed any players, he shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near the team.
Let me reiterate: There is nothing wrong with Soldier Field. At all. The stadium was remodeled 23 years ago. It’s still fairly new. The obsession Kevin Warren has with a new stadium is fucking creepy.
Driving around Arlington Heights is a fucking nightmare on a random Tuesday afternoon. It will be even worse if a stadium goes up there. And trust me, driving into Indiana from the city is also a tire fire. Somehow, they still can’t fix those fucking roads that lead into Hammond.
December 19, 2025 at 11:35 am
I’ll hold Warren for you, Fro, if you want me to. Also, my chainsaw and pick ax (i.e. heavy mining equipment) are available should you wish it.
On to another topic, what in the royal fuck is wrong with these idiots at 670 AM? This is why I ask: 670 staff predictions: Bears-Packers. Every fuckin’ one of em! It’s no wonder I don’t listen to any of these assclowns anymore. What a goddamn shitshow!

Its not out of the question that the Bears win big tomorrow night. Teams who have played in Denver over the last 6 games are 1-5 the next week and 0-6 against the spread. The losses have averaged 11 points. Teams have cited hydration and fatigue issues after playing at high altitudes. I think the Bears get Swift and Monangai going and it ends up like the Eagles game, domination in the trenches with Caleb throwing a piss missile touchdown late.
I say again…
BEAR THE FUCK DOWN!!

Dave, I have a glimmer of hope thanks to your optimism! It’s hard to forget the last couple decades but I think we are finally on a path to redemption!
Bear The Fuck Down!!
December 19, 2025 at 7:25 pm
Look Dave, I respect and appreciate your optimism, and honestly, I really don’t want to say or do anything to trash it, and please understand I want you to continue to be optimistic. But I have to say that I am a crabby, grumpy old bastard who watched this team go into the history books with arguably THE best team in history. (1985) I watched during the absolutely boring as hell Neill Armstrong era in the early 80’s, then watched in sheer amazement at the Mike Ditka era. Every coach since then, Lovie Smith included, has sucked donkey ass. Every single one of them have called the same, boneheaded plays, both on offense and defense. And my tinfoil hat says it’s because of the idiotic family that owns this organization. I have no other answer. But I can tell you honestly that I personally have watched this team and this organization for well over 40 years now, and the last 33 years have been pure torture. Even when they made it to Super Bowl 42. Why was that torture? Because I knew that they’d lose that game. And I knew they weren’t going back for a long ass time. Like I said, I respect your position, but the Bears need to show me one hell of a lot more to impress me. A 10-4 record isn’t nearly enough. Remember, they only beat two supposedly good teams, the Eagles and the Steelers, and the way their seasons have gone, it’s debatable calling them good teams. The rest were wins against what Ed O’Bradovich has in the past called “tomato cans”. And how many of those wins came on the very last play with no time left. And remember the week 2 debacle in Detroit. A 31-point BEATDOWN against a team that looks like they could be in decline. So, I’m not ready to be optimistic with this team until they show me they can be an elite team, and that they can beat elite teams too. And until this organization can show me that they can develop a damn quarterback. So far this season I haven’t seen a whole hell of a lot to make me optimistic at all.
December 19, 2025 at 9:24 pm
Chucky, I’d say Caleb is developing just fine. The accuracy will come. You take away his throwaways and receiver drops from the Browns game and he was 17 for 18. The accuracy will improve with more time and experience in this offense. And if he’s keeping INTs at a record low pace at the same time? I’d say he’s developing quite well!
December 20, 2025 at 3:51 pm
So far, I’d say that’s being too optimistic. As I have said before, a 10-4 record isn’t enough to convince me the Bears are developing him properly, and let’s face it, that is what you’re basing your observations on, isn’t it? I’ll grant that last year was a last year for Williams, what with not one, but two idiot head coaches to deal with. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. Talk to me at the end of the 2027-28 season we’ll see if he’s next Patrick Mahomes, or the next Justin Fields, or even worse, Mitchell TurdBiscuit. I’ve said this before: Chicago is where quarterbacks come to die. He does deserve better help out on the field, I agree. But a whole hell of a lot of our pessimism is based on some of the stupid decisions he’s made, and his tendency for making under or overthrown passes. Sorry dude, but he needs to clean that up to convince me he can play. As you stated, that WILL take time, I get that. But until that time comes, color me skeptical at best. And nobody can convince me otherwise except for him and the coaching staff. Time will tell…….
