How many of you assholes thought the Bears were going to come back to win when down 16-6 while showing absolutely zero life?
If you raised your hand, you are a fucking liar. Nobody on this planet thought the Bears were going to win. Not even their own players. There were some costly penalties and while some were bullshit calls, this team needs to be more disciplined. The culture needs to change with that.
This team was absolutely quiet. The defense was letting the Packers drive down at will. Yes, field goals. But the Packers didn’t punt once this game. I am aware there were turnovers and some fuckery from Matt LeFluer. But damn. I cannot take this shit. Malik Willis was Donovan McNabb out there. Completely shredding the defense.
I still feel Caleb is suffering from horrible coaching. I am certain he called those plays on his own. I am certain he did the same on all those other game-winning drives. Ben Johnson is still a fucking idiot.
Jahdae Walker saved the game. That ball looked like it was going to sail into the stands. Instead, it went right into Walker’s hands on 4th down and his toes touched right before going out of bounds. I seriously need to get my blood pressure checked. I am still waiting for this team to put together four full quarters of solid play and zero stupid calls from Ben Johnson.
I will give credit to Cairo Santos. He hasn’t had a great year. He’s had some struggles. But holy shit. Kicking those three field goals in howling winds isn’t easy. So he deserves a free dinner tomorrow.
As it stands now, the Lions need to lose one of their last three games for the Bears to get into the playoffs. If the Packers lose one of the last two and the Bears win at least one of the next two, they clinch the division. The Bears play the 49ers on the road next Sunday night.

I guess everyone is in shock that the Bears clinched a playoff spot and they control their own destiny for the division with two games left.
I don’t think they beat the 49ers this Sunday. They will need some help if they are aiming for the first seed in the conference.
As long as the Packers lose one of the last two, the Bears clinch the division.

I too am picking a loss for the Bears, but then again I thought they were going to lose to the Eagles. But holy shit if they won that would cement Ben Johnson over the frontrunner Shanahan for coach of the year. That would clinch the division and a chance for the 1 seed if Seahawks lose.
I like the coach, I like the team, and the quarterback is an absolute badass. “I can make any throw.” Then makes THAT throw Saturday night!
We can fire Kevin Warren though.

With that Packer loss, Bears are division champs. Not bad for a rookie head coach, a second year QB and the highest injury game count in the NFL (299). Tomorrow night looks winnable. Caleb will do it late, too much time left on the clock.
BEAR THE ABSOULTE FUCK DOWN!!

You know Dave, I want you to know that I really respect and admire your enthusiasm about the Bears. I really wish I could feel same way. You know, I saw something this morning that made me laugh. I was watching “This Week” on ABC. Yes, it’s a political show, but towards the end of it, with only a couple of minutes left, host Jonathan Karl asked for predictions, and commentator Rick Klein predicted that the Bears would win the Super Bowl. Everybody on the set laughed, I laughed, my dad laughed. I just thought it was kind of funny. I don’t know, maybe I’m just a jaded old bastard who’s sick of hoping against hope that the Bears top brass would finally do the right thing and then watching in total disbelief as they’d shoved their collective heads straight up their collective asses…..ONE MORE TIME. I do hope they win, of course I do. But I still see things that desperately need to be addressed and fixed. Like on second down and one-yard situations. Why in the hell would you throw the ball? Run it up the gut and get that first down. How many times has Fro screamed that this year? The last five years? Or the last ten, or twenty years? Should I go thirty?
Yesterday, I watched a program that I recorded on Roku, from ESPN. It was a program called 30 for 30, and the story was on the 85 Bears. Damn, did that bring back some memories, fuzzy as they were, mainly because in 1985 I was more drunk than sober, but anyway, the whole attitude and atmosphere back then was so radically different than it is today. I just wish we could get some of that attitude in the locker room today. If those guys lost, they not only got mad, but they also got even! I still say that the current Bears team could use a little of that kind of mentality today. Maybe that’s why I can’t really get emotionally invested in this team. I sincerely believe the McCaskey family don’t want that kind of mentality in their locker room. It’s very disappointing to me personally.

This team was given a %1.9 chance of winning the division and they somehow did it. It was not always an ideal way to win but games we would have surely lost in the past this team found a way to pull it off. There were many games I was ready to turn it off and then something happened. I don’t think they are going to the super bowl but I also didn’t think they would come back and beat the packers. I’m just going to enjoy seeing the team in a playoff game. In other news, I think Rome Odunze is a pussy. That’s all.
