I know I have written that same headline before at some point in all these years of having this website. But it is appropriate.
As I was getting ready to type this, the Commanders just beat the Eagles. So the Bears will have the second seed and play the Packers next week at home.
I have zero confidence in this team. Everything that worried me was confirmed these last two weeks. No defense at all. AT ALL. They have the inability to cover a receiver. They have the inability to tackle. They are just not a good defense. And enough with the “they lead the lead in takeaways!” Your point? They let the Lions drive down the field at will countless times today. Same last week with the 49ers. The offense is absent for half of the game. They have ran out of miracles as we have witnessed the last two weeks.
The miracles are over. The lucky turnovers are over. Even though Caleb lead a comeback to tie it today, the offense fell apart after the defense got away with a pass interference and intercepted Goff.
Is the talent there? Many say so. I don’t see it. C.J. Gardner Johnson was one of the bright spots this season. He was awful today and got hurt at the end. So who knows if he is going to play next week.
Here are the facts: Ben Johnson is a fucking idiot and is putting the offense in a position to fail. Dennis Allen is a fucking idiot who is putting the defense in a position to fail. How difficult is it to cover a receiver? These are fucking professionals. My experience doesn’t go past junior tackle in terms of playing. But even we were taught back then how to cover a receiver. None of this fuckery “cover two” bullshit. As I said almost 20 years ago, it should be called the “cover who?” defense.
So what is it going to be? Is this team going to play like professionals or are they going to be the same old Bears that we have witnessed most of our lives? It’s their fucking choice.

If they can at least knock the Packers out of the playoffs, which doesn’t look good because their coach seems to have a half of brain, I’m fine with this season. That’s my Super Bowl. Time to dust themselves off and play a rested Green Bay team.

Green Bay is going to beat the ever-loving shit out of the fucking Bears next week. Like I’ve been saying all season long….. So fucking what if they make the playoffs. They’re going to be one and out. Why fucking bother? And I don’t want to hear about any bullshit “bright spots”, or “things we can build on”. No, fuck that horseshit. This goddamn game had McCaskey written all over it. I fucking swear they’re interfering with the coaching. I have a hard time believing Ben Johnson, or anyone else for that matter, is this fucking stupid. The fucking McCaskeys are, that much is certain.
Listening to Hampton and O’Bradovich had me thinking about something else that’s sorely lacking with this team. It’s that old fashioned “FIRE AND PASSION”, that seems to have disappeared since they fired Ditka. I remember a game way back in 1991, where the Bears lost in overtime to Miami 16-13. Snow started to fall a little bit, and Steve McMichael walked off the field and screamed “GODDAMNIT!!!!” Michael McCaskey, that little piece flaming dog shit weasel fires Ditka after the 92 season, and all that “FIRE AND PASSION” went out the fucking door with him. And it hasn’t been there since.

I wouldn’t call it “ripping the offense.” But hey, go ahead and point the finger at your players rather than himself. Maybe rip the defense as well since they seem to allow 400-plus yards four or five times this season. Horrible.
15 years ago, the Bears faced the Packers in the playoffs. That game made me sick. I’ll be nervous all this week with that in the back of my mind.

I did see that. I was surprised they didn’t fire him halfway through the season.
Hiring these coaches that were on the Bears is just stupid. Why are these other teams just as dumb? I’ll never get it.
