Another football season is over and for the next two months, not much will happen. Sure, free agency is next month and I am certain Ryan Poles will continue to try to put bandages over problems that need a lot more work.
This was another season of a head coach doing stupid things for the Bears. I am not saying the Bears would have won the Super Bowl. But I am saying the head coach cost them the last game as mentioned. I am still waiting for a press conference where George and Ryan are letting everyone know that they spoke to Ben Johnson about his idiotic decisions that cost this team this season. And that if he did that stupid shit again, he will be gone immediately. Then the very next week, noted dumb fuck Sean Payton did the same shit that cost his team a trip to the Super Bowl. So I guess we aren’t alone.
Another situation where stupidity is rearing it’s head: Kevin Warren. This fucking guy is a disaster for this team and is somehow convincing George (who also isn’t very bright) that a new stadium is a must. How many times have we been here? Go to Indiana. Go to Arlington Heights. No, go to Indiana! How about stay in Soldier Field? Stop fucking with tax dollars all because there is this fetish for a new stadium that will take hours to get to. Oh, and moving to Indiana? That lake effect snow will fuck up anyone’s drive there to see the home team that only has three wins in December. Talk about misery.
This universe of my teams is just in shambles. The Bears are continuing to create ways to fuck things up. The Blackhawks are going to miss the playoffs for the ninth year in a row (the 2020 consolation doesn’t count). The Bulls have never been more irrelevant in my life. Illini football is okay. But never good enough to get into the playoffs. And Illini basketball? Don’t even get me started, especially after the last two games that I watched.
This is the same shit I’ve been writing about for the majority of these 17 1/2 years at this website. It’s these teams just suck and find ways to make us miserable. The Bears are at the top of that list. If you go back to a random post six years ago, you can see I am writing the same shit about them. The coach is a dumbass. Management is rotten. The team finds ways to lose. It truly is a collective team effort. As always, however, it starts at the top.

Hey Fro, correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t the Bears have a signed contract with park district to rent Soldier Field, and is it true that this contract doesn’t expire anytime soon? What would the penalty be to the Bears if they ultimately breach that contract? Something tells me that this could turn into a legal nightmare for them. If everything I said is actually true, Kevin Warren is the biggest dumbass in Bears history. And that’s saying quite a lot.

Come back to Cubs fandom, Fro. The grass has been a lot greener even if its been ten years since the last WS title, at least its not 108 anymore. They were one win short of making the NLCS last year. PECOTA projections have the Cubs winning the NL Central with 90ish wins, and potentially second only to the Dodgers in terms of overall team build. Though another free agent starting pitcher is likely to be acquired before the season starts, which could drive that projected win number up.

Yes, I saw the price increase on tv. Money grubbing bastards, every single one of them. That’s why I’ll never go to a game again. I’m sorry, but I just can’t justify the cost of going to even one game on only my monthly disability check. I’m just barely skating along now as it is. Same thing with going to wrestling cards. They’ve completely priced me out. And that sucks! You already know I used to go to the Rosemont Horizon, now called the Allstate Arena, to watch Verne Gagne and the AWA cards back in the mid 80’s. You know what those tickets cost? $20! Thats right, just a paltry 20 bucks. I seriously don’t get how these ticket prices got so far out of range. It’s insane!
Speaking of wrestling, are you going to Elimination Chamber, or Wrestlemania in Vegas? Let me know, I’ll keep my eye peeled for the guy in the referee’s shirt holding a sign saying “Larry Horse Wants Ice Cream!” Also, did you know that you’re on one of my DVD’s? I can’t recall which event it was, but you were there, plain as day. So you’re actually famous now! Now I can say I know a legend! That is just so cool……
