Drew Dalman retires | Can Ryan Poles fix this line again?

by

Feelings seem to be split on the decision Drew Dalman made to retire. Some fans may believe he had planned this and it’s why he decided to play one more year (to get more guaranteed money). Some others could believe he wants to preserve his health. Regardless of whatever his decision was, it’s his choice. Now, the real work begins.

Ozzy Trapilo is going to be out for the entire season after tearing his patellar tendon. Just typing that out makes me shake.

So the Bears will need to get a left tackle and center. They have seven draft picks this upcoming draft. The way I see it, three offensive linemen need to be drafted out of that seven. All I’m hearing the last two days is Ryan Poles trying to sign or trade for a lineman. It worked last year as we witnessed with getting Dalman and Thuney. But again, this can’t be a reoccurring situation. The Bears must draft linemen who can start immediately.

How many times have we seen general managers try to spend a bunch of money to fix problems? It doesn’t work often. Super Bowl winning teams are made by drafting players who can provide immediate success. In other words, draft busts aren’t going to get it done and we’ve seen plenty of those from this franchise over the years.

I still have zero faith in Ryan Poles and Ben Johnson. People can scream “THEY WENT 11-6” all they want. The fact is it took several miracles to win most of the those games. And some of those came against really horrible teams. So don’t get upset if the Bears are awful next year to begin with. This all falls on management and coaches. If they want to prove me wrong by drafting players who will be ready to contribute to this team, go for it. If they want to prove me wrong by Ben Johnson deciding to stop being a stupid fuck with this play-calling, be my guest.

Can Ryan PoleDancer fix this by drafting quality players? Look, I like to gamble on occasion, but I wouldn’t take that bet.

Fro,did you have a chance to read my question in your last post? I think I saw you Saturday night at the Chamber, but I’m just not sure. Was that you, pal? I’m glad you’re still in a position to go. I really wish I could join you, I think it would be fun.

DJ Moore traded to the Bills for another second round pick. This frees up a significant amount of cap space to probably sign a free agent center and probably trade for Max Crosby or sign Trey Hendrickson as a free agent. Draft and develop a left tackle, but we definitely need to draft on defense as well. Edmunds is likely out, so linebacker will be a need, as will safety and corner for depth and development. The Moore trade is a good move, I loved the guy but his occasional lapses in hustle make him less valuable. Odunze and Burden III need to step it up this season.

My bad on not responding as I meant to. I came down with this horrible cold over the weekend and still attended Raw in Indianapolis. I’ve been miserable all damn week.

Yes, that was me you saw on Saturday on the ramp. Same on Monday if you watched (front row that time). But damn, I may actually skip out on WrestleMania in April. I didn’t even book a flight yet either. But I do not want to spend this stupid amount of money this year. I am trying to put some priorities ahead first.

    Dave,

With the Bears having seven picks this draft, there should be no excuse that they can’t fix all of these issues you mentioned. They need two secondary players as you mentioned and another linebacker. Two offensive linemen as well. That leaves them with two picks to spare. I am just tired of some of these picks lately barely seeing the field in games that matter.

There is that center from the Ravens everyone is talking about in Tyler Linderbaum. But apparently, he may be the most expensive lineman in history after this upcoming contract.

All I can say is…………GO FUCK YOURSELF POLES, YOU STUPID PIECE OF FLAMING DOG SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOUR SORRY ASS SHOULD BE SENT PACKING TO ANOTHER GODDAMN PLANET!!!!!!!

Bears reunite with QB on 2-year deal, leaving Tyson Bagent’s future in question

Fro, buddy, I’m going to need your help on this one.

The fetish for shitty quarterbacks continues for Ryan Poles.

Tyson Bagent can move around the pocket and create a play. Keenum is a pure pocket passer and not even a good one. He had a string of a few good games years ago. Re-signing him is pointless.

And everyone knows I am a huge fan of Bagent. I want him to stay. And why bother trading him for a draft pick when Poles can’t draft anyway? This has all the ingredients for more of a shit show come training camp.

You know Fro, I’m getting the feeling that last year was just a major fluke, and that next season will be a goddamn disasterous shitshow. I’m not liking many of the moves Poles is making, especially Case FUCKING Keenum. I mean seriously, what is wrong with Tyson Bagent? From what I saw he was waaaaaay more than adequate, enough to the point where I thought he should have been moved up the depth chart. Just remember who he replaced. Yeah, that useless sack of dog shit Justin Fields. But personally I think we should expect more of this kind of bullshit from PoleDancer. Trevor Semen, Justin Fields, now Case Keenum. Just pure, unadulterated fucking bullshit. But hey, what the hell, after all, they’re busy trying to screw either Illinois or Indiana into buying them a new goddamned stadium. So we should just excuse everything they may fuck up in the meantime……

SHOW DA FIRE AND PASSION, MY FRENDT!
