The game is in the 4th quarter and I am already writing the recap.
Kyle Orton had only his second bad game of the year.
The defense stayed on the field longer than it should have.
Charles Tillman is a moron.
After further review, Lovie Smith is still an idiot.

If the Bears kick the field goal instead of going for it in the second half, the 99 yard touchdown pass doesn’t happen and we are looking at a different ballgame. Lovie Simth is Dusty Baker incarnate.
December 1, 2008 at 9:55 am
I agree Armycubsfan.
Why didn’t they try a quarterback sneak? Oh thats right. They are not smart enough to think about that.
That goal line stand was the defining moment of the year.

Fuck the Bears
Fuck Lovie Smith
Fuck Babich
Fuck Turner
And Fuck you Jerry Angelo!!! You are completely useless. You have actually managed to out-stupid Michael McCaskey, Dusty Baker and any other asshole retard I can’t think of at this moment.
I think this “organization” has actually passed the Cubs on the stupid meter. I just can’t stand this bullshit any more.

Lovie “deer-in-the-headlights” Smith-Baker strikes again. It’s even worse watching his blank expressions in HD.

I dont mean to change the subject…but will carrie douchebag make up her fucking mind…
this week The Padres want another team to get into the talks so they can unload Peavy and his contract, and the latest rumor has the Baltimore Orioles entering the discussion. That, of course, means more Brian Roberts talk. Again, I was told the Cubs went into this offseason knowing they could re-sign Ryan Dempster or trade for Peavy, but not do both. Piniella has said the same thing. Let’s just say talks are ongoing.
The Cubs headed into the offseason knowing they could afford either Dempster or Peavy, wait theres more…
No. Just as there is no room in the Cubs’ payroll for Peavy, there is definitely no room for Ramirez.
will you make up your fucking mind…and dusty you sure do make on ugly broad
December 1, 2008 at 10:23 pm
Carrie Muskrat = Dusty in drag.
December 1, 2008 at 11:20 pm
Perhaps the “no room in payroll” for Peavy is a negotiating ploy on Hendry’s part.
Cubs decline to offer arbitration on Wood and Howry today (although yesterday it was reported the Cubs WOULD offer Wood arbitration).
December 1, 2008 at 11:26 pm
Rich Hill is a disaster in Venezuela and Ryan Theriot is the ONLY major leaguer to in 2008 to make double digit errors (14), caught stealing (13), and grounded into double plays (19). What a fucking loser.

If Howry returns next year as a Cub, I will be finished giving a shit until further notice.
I really don’t care if A-Ram stays long term…he, Soriano and DP Lee have been worthless in the playoffs 2 years running, they played like sissie boys…hell, I wouldn’t mind a change at any of those positions, even though it would be a risk to give up the talent. That said, talent and a buck (or so) will get you a cup of coffee. Not much more to lose…after 100 years of losing.
As for the Bears, I didn’t watch the game and I’m glad for that. I was disgusted with Lovie’s game plan in the Super Bowl and he has only gotten worse. I think he and Dusty were fortunate to find themselves so close to winning it all…and yet they both came up short. Dusty never recovered (with the Cubs) after 2003…and Lovie has coached like a bum ever since 2007.
Lovie and Dusty are both mediocre…on a good day. On a bad day, PATHETIC.
robert…I believe the answer is “no”. Muskrat is a corporate lackey, no mind of her own to make up.

So Dustfuck wants Kerry Wood but Walt Jocketty tells him to go fuck himself…

I’m thinking Dustfuck is done after this season or sooner. Jocketty knows his shit and Dustfuck’s a moron, and they’re obviously not on the same page when talking to the media.

Chucky, Thanks for the great news….Happy Thursday!
December 4, 2008 at 5:06 pm
Fuckin’ Cards picked up Khalil Green. Does he have anything left? I’m assuming so.
December 4, 2008 at 5:43 pm
Didn’t we always know that Lovie Smith was an idiot?? The Super Bowl was a great defense led by an outstanding defensive coordinator. We can always argue about which of the 2 back up quarterbacks the Bears should start. Personally I don’t think it really matters. In order not to be just negative Matt Forte is going to have a great NFL career.
On to the Cubs just a few ideas how about trading D Lee, Lily,Fukudome and Soriano not that anyone would want his hot dog ass. We could agressively go after Peavy and Brian Roberts.

Today I am full of wonder and have many questions:
1. Kirk, did you forget to include A-Ram on your trade list?
2. Or, do you think he can he develop into a “clutch” player during the post season?
3. Have the Cubs been sold yet?
4. Has Zell finished counting his money yet?
5. Has Hendry found a good stylist yet?
6. Has Lovie legally changed his name yet?
How about a bailout for Cubs fans, that would be well deserved.
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
P.S. Did you hear that the Carolina Hurricanes fired Laviolette…and re-hired Paul Maurice? Not a joke…and not funny.
December 5, 2008 at 9:24 pm
guess what the cubs dont offer kerry wood arbitration but sign chad fox they better get peavy or we are gonna have the worse bullpen ever

I’ll believe it when it happens, long overdue IMOP…read on:
*************************************************
CHICAGO (AP) – The chairman of the Chicago Cubs said Friday he expects the baseball franchise to be sold by spring training.
Chairman Crane Kenney told the Chicago Tribune for a story on its Web site that the Cubs are going over the bids they’ve received and expect the sale by spring training. Both the team and the newspaper are owned by Chicago-based Tribune Co.
Spring training starts in mid-February and ends April 4.
Kenney also denied reports that Tribune chief executive Sam Zell would hold on to a big stake in the team after its sale.
“The bids that came in were for control of the team where for Sam, any interest would be a small interest,” Kenney said. “I think at some point people were talking about Sam holding almost half of it. That’s not the way they (bid).
“People are ready to come in, and while the economy is as challenging as it is, I think the value of the franchise really hasn’t changed long-term. I think the bidders are all well financed and understand that. They didn’t deviate much from where the value should be.”
According to media reports earlier this week, at least three would-be buyers of the team have submitted second-round bids to Tribune. Kenney said he didn’t know if he’d remain with the team under the new owner.
A sale of the Cubs and Wrigley Field, the nation’s second-oldest baseball stadium, would also include the company’s 25 percent stake in a regional sports cable channel.
The team’s sale must be approved by Major League Baseball.

GB,
Well I was just trying to throw a few more names in the mix with Lee and Lily but you can toss in ARam and Dempster. I must say that old Aram picked up the pace a bit last year. How about we dump Lee and pick up Mark Teixeira for those of us who believe in clutch hitters. I don’t think we will ever be in the World Series as long as Zambrano is the “ace” of the staff. I like to see him the the third starter behind Peavy and Harden. Old “Z” is just too much of a head case to be counted on in the big game. Actually “Z” is a fucking nut. If they have Soriano at lead off another year kiss the World Series good bye again. Can we just release him? How about asking for a government bailout to payoff all the bad contracts Jimbo Hendry has us locked into???? Jimbo going back to Japan looking for 220 hitters that he can lock up for 50 million??
I see we are promised that the Cubs are going to be sold again. I understand that they are looking for owners with a can’t do attitude to carry on the tradition of loveable losers.
So far a very sad off season.
