I’ll check out the video in a minute. I have a question in the meantime. Who is the new Cubs shortstop? He seems to have some decent power, which I thought was strange.

chucky, I believe his name is “scrappy”…

Thanks Genre. It was from Saturday Night Live back in I believe 1999. I remember watching it when it first aired and then I thought about it a while back and had to find it on the internet.

This puck is going somewhere, and if it just happens to be up your pooper then so be it!!
Cubs 4-0 in May. And you can’t quiet the Riot! Not a bad job by any of the Cubs pitching tonight. Dempster, Marmol, and Gregg all showing good stuff tonight. I did not get nervous for one second.
Linsecum tomorrow, ugh. I don’t like him.

Anybody get the impression that Lou didn’t two shits about winning today? I mean, what was up with the lineup today? That is the type of lineup you trot out the day after clinching the division with one week left in the regular season.
Thoughts?

Wait ’till next owner/manager/gm/pitching coach/trainer.
I was going to post “wait till next year”…but I wouldn’t be shocked if current ownership/management/coaches stick around for awhile.
….hope I’m wrong about that.

chucky,
Either Lou decided to forfeit the game seeing that Lincecum was pitching, or he wanted to see what it was like to have a strong bench. Other than the three run homer by Molina in the first, Marshall chewed up some innings and the still had a chance to win late into the game. I think it’s time for Samardzija to become a wide out for Jay Cutler and the Bears.
My thoughts on scrappy….
Piniella talked to him last week about turning on the pitch more than just being a punch-and-judy type hitter all the time. It looks like Theriot got the message.

Manny Ramirez just tested positive for a banned substance and has been suspended for 50 games.
Excuse me a second….BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

Holy shit!!! You weren’t kidding.
Who’s next?

My guess…Pujols. Or Ryan Howard. Or David Ortiz.

***Cubs trade Joey Gathright and cash to Baltimore for former Cincy Red, Ryan Freel.***
Thoughts?

Cubs down 6-2 to Brewers day after blowing the lead in the 8th and losing 3-2.
You know, after all is said and done, the Cubs can always be counted on to come back to earth. It’s just a matter of time, as Brooke Benton used to say.
Genre, let me know when they’re close to getting that new owner, OK?
May 9, 2009 at 9:11 pm
Whoops, 8-2, with more runs on the way…………
Lovable losers come through again!
