THe cubs main purpose of the winter meetings is to trade milton bradley…he shouldnt have been signed in the first damn place

  2. jimmy d Says:

    Hey All,

Well, it looks like the plan to get together is coming unglued again. At this point, I guess it doesn’t break my heart too much as there’s a ton of stuff going on. On Saturday, I think I may drive down to Whitewater to watch my beloved Warhawks take another step closer to the NCAA Division III Football Championship. Of course, it looks like they’re on a collision course with Mount Union again. If I go down there on Saturday, I’m most likely not going to be up for another “football drinkfest” on Sunday. So, as Keith said in his last post on a different thread, let’s try to arrange something when that good-for-nothing-loser-piece-of-shit Genrebuster finally decides to come to town. (relax…’s just a little lighthearted humor).

Went to Lambeau last night and watched what seemed to be like a fireworks show; except the things falling from the sky were these little yellow flags. Christ, the game took forever because of all of the penalties. I know I’m a fan, but the Packers are really starting to look like a solid football squad….all at the right time. The defense is very stout and the offense is potent. We’ll see how far that can take us.

Check this out. Last night, at the game, there was no “fly over” at the end of the National Anthem. What’s up with that??? December 7th and no “fly over” to honor our military. That’s fucked up!!!

    Jimmy D.

  3. genrebuster Says:

Jimmy D. Thank You for the lighthearted insult…my self-esteem is now bolstered and I feel very important once again 😉 … HA HA HA HA HA

Ok…all kidding aside, I do need to get my ass to Chicago…long overdue to visit my folks and some family. Like so many, I’ve had quite the roller coaster ride for 18 months or so…but no more excuses.

Do you guys want to try to hook up at beginning of baseball season…or sooner? My brother and I have been talking about a visit in late January or February. Even if he can’t make it, I would book it. Or we can do April.

Say the word and I’ll make a reservation in the next 3 weeks or so. Let’s do our best to hook up — I believe we’ll have some fun — but no worries if anybody can’t make it last minute…times are tough.

Has Milton Bradley been traded yet? Has Hendry been fired yet? Has Lou choked on his Cream of Wheat yet? I didn’t think so….

  4. genrebuster Says:

    U dig.

  5. Fro Dog Says:

Whenever this gathering does take place, I will be looking forward to the entertainment of seeing Mike and Jimmy D drinking heavy amounts of alcoholic beverages.

  6. Nemo Says:

The Cubs have lost Curtis Granderson to the Yankees. Like Phil Rogers said-the Cubs needed him more than the Yankees-but the Yankees got him anyway. Pathetic.

  7. robert Says:

Jim Hendry is having trouble moving milton bradley crane kenney said he will not be released you can add another which one is tick or tock

  8. Matt Stairs Superfan Says:

I read that Milwaukee signed Latroy Hawkins to a 2 year deal…

  9. MadCityMac Says:

Fro, believe me, when it DOES happen, Keith, Jimmy D. and I will certainly knock back a few for your entertainment! Alas, it’s coming unglued for me as well. Between the weather, work, and mostly kid stuff, I can’t leave Madison at all on Sunday, unless it’s to run my oldest daughter back to Whitewater. Jimmy, go Warhawks! There’s an outside chance my daughter Amber will be singing the national anthem at the Whitewater game Saturday; she was supposed to sing at last night’s b.ball game but that got re-scheduled for tonight.

On another note, I’m ashamed to say that Latoya Hawkins will be a resident of the state of Wisconsin for the next 2 years; Doug Melvin signed him to the Brewers for 2 years!

  10. robert Says:,0,1650172.column?page=1

Same shit diffrent year to quote genre tick tock tick tock …..

  11. genrebuster Says:

Kinda sad–but not surprised– that Ricketts didn’t have the balls to fire Kenney & Hendry. Just because he met his wife in the bleachers doesn’t mean he knows baseball. The business of making money might be blinding him, too.

I’ll give this a chance but I’m not putting up with another entire season of bullshit.

We shall see. Tick FUCKING tock.

  12. genrebuster Says:

There just might be 21 million reasons to flush that jagoff Bradley down the toilet TODAY…there is no cure for his sickness.

  13. robert Says:

I will say this though I am glad we did not aquire Curtis Granderson…That guy cannot hit a left hander to save his soul his defense is average at best and he strikes out way to much,.,,that would have fit in well with this shit

  14. robert Says:

on the other side there is some good news….we got a pitcher from the st louis cardinals in the rule 5 draft… we didnt add anyone to the team we kept bradley but the bathrooms at wrigley are going to be better….too bad most of the shit is going to be on the field…ps is it just me or does crane kenney look like he was breastfed until he was 19

  15. Matt Stairs Superfan Says:

Last night, my dad called me and updated me on what is going on in Chicago sports. He mentioned that Kenney did make those stupid quotes and here is another part of the conversation that we had…

Dad: I have good news and I have some bad news.
    Me: What happened?
Dad: Rick Morrissey left the Tribune
    Me: Sweet
Dad: Now the bad news is…He went to the Sun-Times
    Me: …

  16. genrebuster Says:

    Send Kenney to Southpark.

  17. robert Says:

you have to commend chicago and there coaches

you got ms howel vinny del negro louser pinella

lets look at there leaders… moe hendry jerry angelo

  18. MadCityMac Says:

“OH MY GOD, THEY KILLED KENNEY!” YOU…..well, I guess bastards wouldn’t work in this case, eh?

Scott, I’m all for getting together in April or sometime warm, although the Packer-Bear game would have been fun if anybody could have made it. I’m all for everything in 2010 being better than this past year. Between my breakup, my accident, and all the other shit, it has to be better!

  19. MadCityMac Says:

Robert, not only do I think Clown Kenney was breastfed until he was 19, he probably still lives in his parent’s basement!

  20. chucky Says:

I think you’re both wrong about Kenney. I think he is STILL breastfeeding!

  21. robert Says:

Moe said even though he didnnt do anything at the winter meetings he has a few things he has working on doesnt he say that all the time and doesnt do jack shit

  22. robert Says:

chucky I think you may be right although now he doesnt use his mom he uses his dad and goes a little further down

  23. robert Says:

ps moe has came out and said he is working on an incentive laden deal for neal cotts

  24. chucky Says:

“an incentive laden deal for neal cotts”?

That means he won’t be paid one thin dime!

  25. Matt Stairs Superfan Says:

    Neal Cotts?

Are you fucking kidding me? I thought this shit was done and over with?

    New owners. Same shit.

  26. robert Says:

    matt here is the article

Only Cotts, who had Tommy John elbow ligament replacement surgery on his left arm July 2, is not expected to be tendered, but he is expected to re-sign with the Cubs.

  27. genrebuster Says:

    Neil Cotts.

Ricketts has a bit of a sissy boy look, doesn’t he?

    No guts, no glory.

    Hendry is an idiot.

  28. Nemo Says:

robert, one thing about Granderson is he is a clubhouse leader and a goodwill ambassador-both things the Cubs desperately need. You are right about the strikeouts and such (and his offensive numbers were down this year)-however, the fact is that the Cubs wanted him and FAILED to get him. And that bothers me more than anything else. The Cubs can’t even put up a decent effort to get the guys they want. Instead, they keep pathetically asking everybody if they’ll take their date home (Bradley). Give him his fare, shove him in the cab, and go find a different date already!!!

  29. robert Says:

nemo tampa has came out and said it is not our responsiblity to fix the cubs mistakes…talking about a bradely deal….

  30. genrebuster Says:

Nemo, that was a very generous post…(the “date” and “cab” references).

Perhaps “take your shit, flush it and move on” is appropriate.

A clubhouse leader and goodwill ambassador would be nice, who was the last Cub we could say that about?

  31. chucky Says:

    Ernie Banks.

    Ryne Sandberg.

    Hell, maybe even Derrek Lee?

I can’t really think of too many more. Anybody else?

  32. Sandberg23 Says:

Ricketts is not off to a good start as a owner as of this point. Maybe if he would have fired Moe right of the bat and got a new GM in here maybe Bradley’s ass would have been long gone by now. Now I’m hearing reports they might just keep him. LOL. Yeah go ahead and try that. Just admit to you’re mistakes cut the bastard and let him go. You are on the hook anyway that’s one way to get rid of the headache.

  33. Sandberg23 Says:

Doesn’t this offseason remind you of the one when they were trying to find a trade partner to take Sosa off they’re hands. Screwed around that whole offseason too trying to trade him and by the time they did they lost out on big name players they could have gotten. They still need another starter, couple bullpen arms, centerfielder or right fielder maybe another bench player and they have not done shit except resign one bullpen guy and got a pitcher from the rule 5 draft. All the while I’m watching the Yankees who WON the World Series make more moves than the Cubs in the offseason. I should have been a damn Yankee or Red Sox fan growing up!!!

  34. genrebuster Says:

How much does Hendry make in a year? How much does Kenney make? As far as I’m concerned, those two bums should pony up some $$$….for Game Boy’s over-inflated contract.

  35. genrebuster Says:

Harden officially gone. Who will replace him?

  36. robert Says:

genre did you not read anything I wrote he is trying to sign neal sucking cocks

  37. genrebuster Says:

robert I always read your posts…but how does Kneel (a mediocre bullpen guy) replace Harden (who led the NL in strikeouts per inning ratio–unless I am mistaken)?

  38. robert Says:

Neal sucking cocks is about as worthless as in impotent man at a porn shoot…remember this is moe hendry we are talking about he has a few trades he is keeping his eye on he will fix everything for us….remember he got us kevin gregg last year….and aaron miles and outsmarted everyone and offered milton bradley a 3 year deal….he could have traded harden at the deadline last year but no he walks for nothing…. we know how those dealrs work out (smoltz for alexander bagwell fro anderson )this is the same asshole that turned down a sosa to the mets deal that would have netted the cubs jose reyes cuase he wanted aaron heilmann…ps this is the same asshole that also said the cubs signed the most important free agent in rudy jarimillo…..i hope harden wins the cy young and comes back and signs with st louis and really rubs it in the fatmans face then maybe the DICKETTS family will fire that overwight seamen receptacle donkey with a circle…..for you people who are not politacally correct I called him a fat cocksucking asshole

  39. chucky Says:

I got to change the subject here. If todays game doesn’t get Smith shit-canned, I’m fucking done with the Bears. That stupid motherfucker hasn’t got a goddamned clue. I have fucking had it with this incompetent, arrogant asshole. I’m fucking serious, if he’s still around next year, I’m done.

The Bears management are making the Cubs management look competant in comparison. And I never thought that anybody could top the Cubs for total cluelessness. The Bears have done it.

  40. Ron Turner Says:

hey chucky…you are right about Lovie: after all, that clueless arrogant asshole bastard has been standing up for ME all along…and quite frankly, I don’t have a clue either!

How we’ve managed to keep our jobs this long is a real mystery to me! Is Jim Hendry involved with the Bears, too?

Whatever, it’s a real blessing to be paid so well…for performing so miserably …take it from me, I do suck. Happy Holidays indeed!

  41. robert Says:

Phillies lose the world series go out and get roy halliday…mariners are horrible go out and get cliff lee and chone figgins…yankees win the world series…they go out and get curtis granderson….the cubs do nothing and go out and hire a batting coach ….keep a cancer on the team instead of releaseing his ass there best pitcher may be hurt how do they resolve that with rule 5 guy from the cardinals we all know how well that worked out last year with david patton…..FUCK YOU HENDRY

  42. Matt Stairs Superfan Says:

Robert, I feel your pain on that crap. But not to worry. The sheeple will return to give you some stats or tell you that everything will be fine.

These comments from the archives still sticks out as the worse responses ever:

That guy is a fucking idiot and put in note that he hasn’t been here since to back up any of his stupid comments. Coincidence?

Anyway. This team will not do a damn thing this upcoming season. I already see this crap piling up. And if the fucking sheeple don’t believe me, I will be posting this same comment next October when the season is finished. Fuck Tom Ricketts. Fuck Crane Kenney. And fuck Jim Hendry for his continued stupidity and ineptitude to run a team. Another lost season way before it even starts.

Oh yeah. And fuck the Bears organization for their garbage as well. I bet Lovie is telling the media that everything is gravy at Halas Hall.

  43. robert Says:

you all wanna meet up at this and beforehand we could meet somewhere and take bets on who will be the first one arrested

  44. Irish Yeti Says:

On the second link, you agreed with him immediately afterwards, yet you say it’s one of the worst comments ever?

I could address many things, but I ask you this… Is an 87-75 team horrible?

  45. robert Says:

Yetti I am going to answer your question

I have lived through 84 89 98 03 07 08 and the 93 500 season and the 95 team that almost made the wild card….I have stated b4 and I will state again I dont give a fuck about .500 or the playoffs till a world series flag is flown over wrigley I am fucking sick of this team this team is built to fail

  46. robert Says:

Beisdes I would like to know who in the hell gave hendry a bonus for everytime he says we dont have any trade made now but I am working on a few things

  47. robert Says:

I do have some good news though found out my wife is expecting our second child

  48. Irish Yeti Says:

I was referring to Seattle.. You said they were horrible, yet they were an 87-75 team

  49. Matt Stairs Superfan Says:

Robert, congrats on the second kid. I only have one daughter and she is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Yeti, I agreed with that guy that “playoff success is random”. However, I did not agree with him saying that this team will not suck this year. Being the 2009 team. I said this team was going to suck before the season started and I as well as most guys here, were right.

By the way, 87-75 isn’t good enough in baseball. But since you keep bringing up stats, few teams have made the playoffs winning 87 games or less.
