    ….I was expecting this (post)… 😉

I’m happy for the city of New Orleans.

  2. Nemo Says:

MY sentiments EXACTLY-no more Farvegasms from the media this season!! Congrats to the Saints, well-deserved.

Time to take a few lumps. Don’t remember my exact words, but I predicted Favre’s influence on the Vikings would be disruptive (pretty true) to the point of them missing the playoffs (very untrue). So, I was way off on that one. But, I don’t care-the evil one has been eliminated. Go Saints!

  3. Fro Dog Says:

This is my take my Brett Favre:

I was pissed everytime Favre and the Packers kicked the crap out of the Bears when I was a kid. I don’t really care for the Packers these days but I do have respect for their fans and franchise. As recently as a few years ago, I was starting to just respect Favre. Lately not so much. He yanked around two franchises in the last three years and put their futures at jeopardy (at least at the time). Then he pulled the same thing again with the Vikings when he had arguments about play calling with Childress.

He is probably one of the best quarterbacks of all time but his character shows that he is a flaming turd about everything. If he doesn’t get his way, he will complain about it instead of listening to the coaches. I was glad to see him piss away the game late in the 4th quarter.

And what pisses me off more is exactly what Nemo was implying: The media is what makes me hate Favre even more. I cannot count how many damn times they showed his wife on TV or the amount of times that prick Joe Buck mentioned how great of a player he is. We get it.

For the second year in a row, I won’t be rooting for anyone in the Super Bowl but I will look forward to watching it.

I vacationed in New Orleans a couple years back and you couldn’t ask for a nicer bunch of people; they even thanked us for coming down and spending our money. Vikings fans are the most humorless bunch of assholes I’ve ever met. Obviously there are exceptions to both of these general statements, but I stand by it! Go Saints!

  5. chucky Says:

Is psychotic as it sounds, part of me actually wanted Favre to win and even win the Super Bowl. Don’t get me wrong, I hate what seems to the Hulk Hogan of football. But if he won, maybe he’d FINALLY FUCKING RETIRE. That was my hope at least. Yeah, the Super Bowl and all the coverage of it would have sucked goat balls, but at least we could have been done with that “flaming turd”.

    Good description Fro!!

That being said, I will look forward to a Favre free Super Bowl. And hoping for a Saints win too.

  6. Dan from Madison Says:

Fro – ’tis indeed a glorious day.

You mentioned Joe Buck – that guy is about as bright as a small appliance bulb. I really enjoy hearing what Aikman has to say, but Buck just ruins everything. Such a dunce.

I also hate Jim Nantz on the play by play in the AFC. Such a boring call. He should stick to the Masters, like Verne Lundquist should stick to figure skating.

    Excellent pic Fro!

    Is Favre’s wife a twin?

    I agree: hahahaha.
