Really? I wonder what I am going to do without football, basketball and ballet. What’s next?

Really? I wonder what I am going to do without football, basketball and ballet. What’s next?
July 5, 2011 at 11:56 am
I’m thinking about locking myself out until Jim Hendry and/or Mike Quade are terminated.
July 5, 2011 at 5:11 pm
I’ve already locked myself out of supporting the Cubs in any way…and it feels great!
FIRE JIM HENDRY…and I’ll reconsider my position.
Ricketts is a “moran”…another a-hole with too much $$$, we all deserve better.
July 5, 2011 at 7:07 pm
I’d like to see Ricketts, Kenney & Hendry ‘locked out”…or “locked in” a Wrigley Urinal stall.
July 5, 2011 at 8:37 pm
Scott and Fro, how about giving the 3 Stooges a swirley in one of the troughs!
July 5, 2011 at 9:02 pm
Funny now that they’re getting solid pitching performances from nearly everyone including Marcos Mateo, Rodrigo Lopez, and Ramon Martinez…. the offense is completely dead (minus Aramis Ramirez. WTF was this the first 2 months?)
July 5, 2011 at 9:12 pm
Swirley time indeed, Mike…long overdue!
Pie, had almost forgotten there was an offense.
17 games below .500
If Matt’s theory on a 10 game losing streak doesn’t come to pass, I maybe they’ll at least hit 25 games under .500….I wonder if that would be enough to prod Ricketts into real action….
Nah…..I mean Bah……..probably not.
July 5, 2011 at 10:29 pm
They are now 17 games below .500 and it’s just past the halfway point. They are on pace to be 30 games under that mark. That would put them around 66 wins. Fine with me.
What a bunch of losers. We all should have a debate on which team in the last 20 years was the worst. My bet is on the 2006 team although the 2011 version is given those other assholes a run for their money.
July 6, 2011 at 8:17 am
Matt….the 06 team did suck goat balls, but I think this team is worse. What is making it worse is that the sheeplelike owner doesn’t see any problems with this team, other than injuries.
Hey numbnuts, your team isn’t just injured, IT FUCKING SUCKS MASSIVE DICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
July 6, 2011 at 10:14 am
All teams have injuries…the GOOD ones don’t make excuses….the GREAT ones win regardless. It starts at the top…that’s why the Cubs suck…and will continue to.
We all deserve better than Ricketts. Just another LOSER in a long line of idiots. Thanks for nothing.
Boycott this PATHETIC organization and eventually changes will be made.
FIRE JIM HENDRY.
July 6, 2011 at 8:38 pm
Chucky, what is your assessment of Kingsford’s performance in this evenings contest? Do tell.
July 6, 2011 at 11:06 pm
3 losses in a row and 18 games under .500! Now that’s baseball!
I know what I think I of Wood. I think it’s time for him to go another team and stay there. Nice guy and all but he is one is more a liability than anything else. Let him lose games for another team. To be real honest, I am getting sick of him.
With the trading deadline at the end of the month, it’s time to unload players. With the exception of Barney and Castro, everyone is available. Assholes like Ramirez, Fukudome and Soriano are going to get paid regardless by Rickett’s so let them be someone else’s problem. They need to try to restock the farm system.
July 6, 2011 at 11:15 pm
If Ramirez keeps this up, he’ll probably get his option for 2012…and maybe even an extension knowing Hendry /:
Then he’ll suck for however long until final months of his contract year roll around again.
July 7, 2011 at 12:12 am
I found Yeti. Or Al Yellon. Take your pick.
http://wn.com/nbetsole1234
July 7, 2011 at 8:52 am
Genre…Balsa Woods performance?
Same shit, different day. In other words, typical. Fucking guy can’t pitch anymore.
Ricketts will probably extend his contract too. Fuck this bullshit.
July 7, 2011 at 8:53 am
Oh, and Matt….That kid is the evil love child of Yeti AND Al Yellon. Am I right?
July 7, 2011 at 10:27 am
Kid’s parents don’t know that he’s playing hooky from special ed….what is the world coming to? Somebody put a gag on him.
We’ll never know how great Balsa or Towel Boy could have been, thanks to the toothpick chomping idiot in Cincinatti.
Where’s Bynum? It’s time for A-Ram’s nut rub now that he’s hitting the ball…of course! When they’re so far gone it DOESN’T MATTER.
SOS.
July 7, 2011 at 11:29 am
Genre…Didn’t Freddie follow Douche Baker to Cincinatti? That’s the first place I’d look.
July 7, 2011 at 7:13 pm
6 straight hits and no visit to the mound by the manager or the pitching coach. Really??? My bad, there was a visit before the 6th straight hit. 4 runs in, nobody out….OOOPPPSS!!! Now it’s 7 straight hits, 4runs in, the bases are loaded and still nobody out. FUN, FUN, FUN!!!
July 7, 2011 at 7:17 pm
Sweet. Next batter gets a double. Now, the Schlubs are down 6-0, nobody out, runners at 2nd and 3rd and Garza’s thrown 658 pitches, this inning alone. But wait…there’s more…here comes our savior, the Wide Receiver…Samardzija. This should be comical.
July 7, 2011 at 7:29 pm
I’m just waiting for the inevitable postseason guarantee by Tom Ricketts. Any day now…
July 7, 2011 at 7:49 pm
Seriously, just keep LOSING…….PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOSE, LOSE, LOSE and Ricketts will have to make changes or he’ll eventually start losing $$$…it’s obvious that’s all he cares about, WINNING is not a priority.
What a complete and utter “Moran”.
On a different note, I hope the Quade experiment ends soon…sorry guys, I’m not impressed with him.
This organization has very serious leadership problems. When “the top” is already in the the toilet, you’re fucked. Plain & simple.
July 7, 2011 at 7:50 pm
Time to FLUSH.
July 7, 2011 at 8:37 pm
Great…they’ve tied it up!
Hendry and Quade will get their contracts extended during the post-game press conference!
Is there a God?
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
July 7, 2011 at 10:01 pm
Go Cubs Go!
July 7, 2011 at 11:05 pm
I stopped watching after the 3rd. As I was putting my daughter to bed, my wife comes in and says they came back and won. I pretty much laughed “Oh my God”. When I want these greedy assholes to win, they lose. And when I continue to root for them to lose, they pull this shit off.
Son of a bitch.
July 8, 2011 at 10:42 am
Seriously, why are you guys still watching them?
July 8, 2011 at 11:04 am
Trainwreck theory. No matter how bad it is, we can’t take our eyes off.
July 8, 2011 at 11:14 am
I’m not Yeti…I check scores on-line when working at the computer…or read what people here are posting.
The thought of watching them–even on tv–makes me sick. The thought of PAYING to attend a game even sicker.
Kinda like the thought of going back to a certain hotel restaurant in Puerto Limon that featured live bugs in the sugar and rice.
BARF.
I was really hoping they’d hit 30 games below .500 by the end of August…on the bright side, it could still happen!
Somebody tell the veterans that they’re locked in a close race for the division and things should return to normal, ie. LOSING.
PATHETIC.
July 8, 2011 at 2:15 pm
I only go to the Cubs mainpage a couple times a day in hopes that there’ll be an announcement made regarding a change in management; primarily Hendry and Kenney. No such luck….yet!!! I’d have no problems with them cutting Quade loose, either. When at the site, I can see the Gameday information and it’s fun to see what horrific performance is unfolding.
July 8, 2011 at 4:42 pm
Basically the same for me, Jimmy D. If it weren’t for this site and checking sports news online–hoping to read of Hendry & Kenney’s firing–I’d be clueless about how the Cubs are doing.
Enough is enough. That includes Quade, who never had a chance but isn’t so sharp, it appears.
Thanks to Ricketts, the Cubs have achieved new heights in PATHETICISM.
(….is that even a word….hell, it is now!)
July 8, 2011 at 4:45 pm
Since I am stuck here in West Virginia, I only get to see them on WGN for the few games they still have on there (compared to a decade ago when there were at least 100 games). I’ll watch them when they are on there.
It was said above by Chucky that this a trainwreck that we cannot stop watching. These assholes will win a game that is dramatic every now and then (all teams do). As always with this bunch, they find new and innovative ways to lose. It’s hysterical because they lose by ways you can’t make up.
July 8, 2011 at 9:39 pm
Yeti Says:
July 8, 2011 at 10:42 am
Seriously, why are you guys still watching them?
————————————–
Seriously, why are you still posting here?
Wouldn’t you feel more at home over at Al Yellon’s sheep pen?
July 8, 2011 at 9:46 pm
Sour Marmolade. Possibly the most overrated closer in baseball.
July 8, 2011 at 10:56 pm
Keep losing!
There is no CLOSER on this team. And, there is no ACE. Come to think of it, there is no GM, either.
But there is a sheeple owner!
BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH
PATHETIC.
On a side note, Pittsburgh appears to be moving in a good direction…
July 8, 2011 at 11:08 pm
You know what’s kind of funny about the Pittsburgh situation? When they fired their GM, Littlefield, a couple years back, guess who hired him later on? That’s right. Jim Hendry!
Now they have an actual GM and are in a pennant race.
July 8, 2011 at 11:39 pm
Yea.,.. with what? 1/3 of our payroll?
July 8, 2011 at 11:54 pm
An actual GM…spending less money more wisely…a pennant race….imagine that!
Ricketts and family, get your noses out of Hendry’s ass….take note!
July 9, 2011 at 12:51 am
Yep, Yellon and I are so much of butt buddies that I’m banned from his site.
July 9, 2011 at 12:52 am
Stupid new wordpress commenting
July 9, 2011 at 7:52 am
David Ortiz is my new hero.
Kevin Gregg throws a punch like a little bitch. Because he is a little bitch.
And by the way, I want to kick Carlos Marmol in the nuts. HARD!!!
July 9, 2011 at 10:28 am
http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/breaking/chi-red-soxs-ortiz-fights-orioles-gregg-both-ejected-20110708,0,6653016.story
How dumb is one to talk shit to Ortiz? Gregg is a first-class dumbass. And as far as Marmol goes, I don’t have the numbers in front of me but I am certain he has blown/lost a minimum of 6 games this year.
July 9, 2011 at 10:33 am
Too bad Ortiz didn’t go after MacFAIL, too. Line him up with Hendry and Kenney and let the games begin.
July 9, 2011 at 1:16 pm
MSS –
I heard somewhere mention he’s blown 6 of his 24 saves opportunities. 1 of every 4 attempts and he’s probably made another 6-8 much too exciting also.
July 9, 2011 at 1:18 pm
*someone, not somewhere
July 9, 2011 at 1:54 pm
A lot of guys have “nasty stuff” but cannot PITCH.
Marmol is just another face in that crowd.
The Cubs: Same old story, same old shit.
What’s the difference between Ricketts and a bobble-head doll?
July 9, 2011 at 4:24 pm
Genre….the bobble head is smarter. And the reason Ortiz didn’t go after McFAIL is that he was too busy chasing that little bitch Gregg.
Pie…You heard correct. I heard that too. It also ties him for the MLB lead in that catagory. It also qualifies him as “a serviceable closer” to some people who don’t know their ass from 3rd base.
July 10, 2011 at 1:55 pm
Is the Ramon Ortiz experiment over yet?
July 10, 2011 at 2:55 pm
I doubt it.
July 10, 2011 at 3:06 pm
As they say, SOS!
PATHETIC.
For God’s sake Ricketts: blow this shit up…you can do it!
July 10, 2011 at 3:08 pm
This place about to Gra-blow-o-o-o-o-o-o
July 10, 2011 at 5:25 pm
For the next 10 years, you all will be my bitch. The folks over here in Pissburgh call me McClutchen.
July 10, 2011 at 5:32 pm
The Pirates OWN the Chubs! I want this fucking team to lose every single game the rest of this season,or until Moe and pencil neck geek Crane Kenney are unceremoniously relieved of their duties, so to speak. I want to cheer for the team again that got me interested in baseball back in 1968, but not until these complete and utter shitbags are gone; and if Ricketts decides to sell, even better- blow it ALL up!
July 10, 2011 at 6:04 pm
I think the Cubs have been Andrew McCutchens bitch for a couple of years already. Along with much of the National League.
I agree with you MCM. You’re totally spot on. After all, what is there to really cheer about? This team is getting more unlikable than the 04, 05, and 06 teams that had Asshole Baker, Cunt Merker, LaToya, Neifi Perez, Freddie “Fuck up” Bynum and the rest of those sniveling bitches. And don’t forget “Holly”.
Sorry for the bad acid flashback.
July 10, 2011 at 8:03 pm
Andrew…to be clear: WE won’t be your bitch…but the the Cubs WILL!
All kidding aside, I’d be thrilled if the Cubs could compete with the Pirates…but it’s not even close, Pittsburgh is moving in a good direction.
MCM, you hit the nail on the head (too bad it wasn’t Rickett’s throat). I completely agree with you.
Rest up Cubbies and come back refreshed, ready to LOSE…you can do it!
July 10, 2011 at 8:52 pm
Just tell rhem they won there last two games that shpuld cause them to loose four or five in a row
July 11, 2011 at 12:12 am
Reporter: “Mr. Ricketts, your team is losing game after game and you continue to do nothing. Do you have no responsibility to the millions of Cub fans who want something done, and done now?”
Ricketts: “What a beautiful day for a ballgame. Cub fans are the greatest and most loyal fans in the game. True Cub fans (like Irish Betti for example) understand that we have suffered a multitude of injuries, and if it weren’t for all those injuries we would be in first place by now. I have complete confidence in my manager Mike Quade, my GM Jim Hendry, and my president Crane Kinney. I know they are trying really really really hard, and once we get those players back and we are back at full strength, watch out here come dem Cubbies!”
Reporter: “Uh, Mr. Ricketts … er … uh … Uncle Tommy, the players are back. The club is back to “full strength”.
Ricketts: “What a beautiful day for a baseball game, don’t you think? Well its been real nice talking to you today, I think I’ll go out in the bleachers and mingle with the fans. Ah, Cub fans, they love me!”
That, fellow Cub fans is your owner. And with him as owner this team has no chance! None!
July 11, 2011 at 5:42 am
jim hendry has said he is not looking to make any deals
July 11, 2011 at 7:14 am
Robert,
That doesn’t mean that the rest of the baseball community isn’t preparing to fleece his retarded ass of any remaining talent/potential AND also devising a way to dump their own over-the-hill, washed up, overpaid misfits on the Cubs. Just because Hendry’s not “looking” for deals doesn’t mean that we’re safe.
Jimmy D.
July 11, 2011 at 10:04 am
I had a dream
The Cubs traded Starlin Castro and some prospects for Jose Reyes, who agreed to a big-arse contract before the deal was made at the deadline.
Mike Quade then used Reyes as our 3-hitter.
Assure me that this is impossible.
July 11, 2011 at 10:26 am
Pie…I was thinking more along the lines of Hendry trading Castro and Barney to Baltimore for Lee, Gregg and Pie. Of course, McFail is the GM over there and he believed trading those guys would be an awful idea.
July 11, 2011 at 4:48 pm
Hahahahahsha
July 11, 2011 at 5:21 pm
Jimmy how many other gms have a pillow so when he calls they have to put it over there face to prevent frpm laughong
July 11, 2011 at 5:29 pm
Ah yes, being a Cub (or will be again when the Asshole Triplets are gone); it’s why we drink!!! Gentlemen, all well stated!
July 11, 2011 at 5:31 pm
Meant to say Cub FAN, and I’ve only had ONE beer, so far! Potosi Wee Stein Wit Wheat Ale- YUM!!
July 11, 2011 at 5:56 pm
Here is the probem with moe ….he has chuck lamarr syndrome…you may ask who is chuck lamar…he was the first gm of the rays he went out and signed veteran players like boggs mcgriff canseco gooden etc…then refused to trade them to contenders…when vincent namoli took over as owner the first thing he did was canned lammar and when lammarr asked why namoli told him cause you had the chance to improve the team buy trading veterans for young prospects and you stood buy and did nothing now get out of my site
July 11, 2011 at 8:12 pm
God in heaven…..Tom Ricketts SUCKS.
FIRE JIM HENDRY.
That’s all I got tonite!
July 11, 2011 at 8:14 pm
Oops…one more thing: NOTHING is impossible. Sleep good, Pie!
July 11, 2011 at 8:16 pm
To be clear: when looking at how stupidly Cubs management/ownership operate…..expect the worst, as nothing is impossible.
July 11, 2011 at 10:23 pm
the only thing consistent with this franchise is they have a we willl show you attitude….that is just when you think things cant get worse they do
July 12, 2011 at 5:57 pm
Complete fucking fluff piece- looks like something The Muskrat would be associated with!
