It’s tournament time. My Final Four is Florida, Arizona, Michigan and Michigan State. Florida beats Arizona 75-71 in the National Championship. Who do you have?

I attempted to fill out a bracket online. I finished my bracket had Florida State winning. It said I could submit 3 brackets for a prize. When I went to do my second bracket it erased my first. At this point I said “Fuck It”

Syracuse, Creighton, Virginia, Wichita State.
Wichita State 74-70 over Virginia for the title.
1) I want to see WSU shut everybody up and go 40-0.
2) I want to see an all Missouri Valley reunion btw WSU and Creighton (who left the MVC to join the Big East)
3) No reason, I just cherry picked the hell out of my brackets.

Hey I got an email that my first bracket was accepted, got Florida beating Wichita State 72-63, I dont know why I said FSU earlier oops. I picked some mid seeding upsets but most of the 1’s got through, If I win a million were all gonna party at Fros house!
March 20, 2014 at 2:19 pm
Well, my dreams of a perfect bracket are gone already. Fuck Ohio State!
And yes, feel free to bring the party to the House of Fro Dog.
March 20, 2014 at 4:53 pm
While we’re at it, fuck Cincinnati too! How in the hell do you lose to goddamned Harvard?
Fucking losers.

So I have decided April 1 I am cutting the cable cord. The days of $60 a month for watching a few shows and commercials are over. Im going to keep my Netflix($7.99) a month and Hulu($7.99) a month and save about $400-$500 a year. The problem is live sports! Until these companies pony up for the licensing I will have to watch the stream and maybe look into an antenna for a few local channels. Unless I want to go to a friends or bar of course.
Will you guys help out and pool resources? Fro I know you have mentioned a few good free streaming sites in the past. When you have the time could you possibly make a sticky or whatever on the side of the blog so we can have a spot dedicated to sharing legitimate working free stream sites?? I think that will be beneficial to allot of us bitching about comcast and dish and whatever.
In the next couple of weeks I will be researching what I can find and share my results. Looking for good tested and working legitimate free streaming of all major sports. With minimal ads and no sign ups if possible.I have good internet(18mbps) so that shouldnt be an issue.
Thanks Sports Fans!

I’ll do what I can to help you out. I don’t know how, but whatever. You’ll have to get one of those converter boxes for each tv when go to over the air TV. They’re about $50 each. You can thank the illustrious George Bush for that. Anything else you need just ask.
March 21, 2014 at 9:30 am
Actually, if you have an HDTV (made after 2006/2007), they have built-in tuners to get over the air. The horrible part about this is, it’s not like when we were kids where you can just set up an antenna and even though it may not be perfect quality, you can still get a channel. With everything being over the air, you have to be within 30 miles of a station just to get it. If you get one of those rooftop antennas with a 200 foot tower, your chances, of course, are better.
I bought a backup amplified antenna that I can put on a wall and let me say this, I am 30 miles from Rockford and 60 from Chicago. I can’t even get all of the Rockford stations and with Chicago, I get maybe one or two. It sucks.
With the streaming sites, you’re going to get advertisements. The best thing to do is click the box to put the video to a full screen and that should reduce the chances of getting ads. No matter what though, streams can always freeze and sometimes are a minute or two behind the live action.
March 21, 2014 at 10:40 am
All I can say is a rooftop antenna made a huge difference with my reception of getting Nashville channels (live 45 minutes away from stations). Main stations very rarely ever go out. And if they do, it’s CBS doing it for a few seconds.
March 21, 2014 at 12:48 pm
Thanks again for the input guys. I really didnt think the antenna thing was going to work and after researching it I would a freekin space needle in my yard to get anything worth a shit.
So will be looking for dependable streams. Best way to help is when there is a game on, go to your pc and check out a couple streams. If you find a something decent let us know. I will be doing the same.

Mike Vick to the Jets! Will the coach killer finally get Rex fired? Stay tuned!
March 21, 2014 at 10:11 pm
I bet you are just waiting for good old Rex to get canned. He was always known as a good coordinator but never a good head coach. Sounds familiar, right?
Also, I would like to think that the recent loss to the Pacers will shut the media up about the Bulls and this absurd theory that they can beat them in a seven-game series. The Bulls suck. And if anybody wants to see how shitty Taj Gibson can be, look at one play in the second quarter when he tried to shoot the ball with three defenders on him under the basket.
March 23, 2014 at 12:08 pm
Fuck Syracuse. Shouldn’t have picked a team that went 25-0 before losing to sorry-ass Boston College…at home.
March 23, 2014 at 1:21 pm
My brackets are shot already. The ESPN Challenge has a list of leaders and there are no perfect brackets. I picked Villanova over UConn and that was a bad idea too.
March 23, 2014 at 3:34 pm
That’s why I don’t do brackets anymore. I find myself rooting for teams like Duke just so my bracket stays as clean as possible. F that. Always a good day when Duke loses in the tournament.
March 23, 2014 at 3:50 pm
Hey Pie? Think about this question and take a moment before you answer honestly…. If Dick Vitale was never born, would you still dislike Duke?
March 23, 2014 at 5:11 pm
I don’t care about Dick Vitale. Don’t watch ESPN.
March 23, 2014 at 6:02 pm
Oh, everyone I know that hates Duke is either a North Carolina fan or hates Dick Vitale. I hate Dick Vitale, lol
March 23, 2014 at 6:29 pm
ANGRY!
March 23, 2014 at 6:52 pm
There are a lot of reasons people hate Duke. I don’t care about North Carolina either though. I guess most of it is the Cameron Crazies and all their bandwagon fans. Something about Coach K doesn’t sit well with me…but I don’t know what it is.
I like seeing the Michigan teams do well, especially MSU basketball (head coach is former Yooper, upper peninsulan).
March 23, 2014 at 8:13 pm
I filled out 2 brackets at the bar. The one I had Louisville beating my Badgers in one semi, Michigan State over Florida in the other, and MSU beating Louisville for the title. The 2nd one, I had the Badgers beating Wichita State (my one final 4 team that is fucked!), MSU over Florida, and MSU beating Wisconsin in the final. As much as I love my Badgers, I just couldn’t pull the trigger on them winning the whole thing. They either go cold, or a team gets incredibly hot against them, like MSU in the Big 10 semi-final. But since I probably have a snowball’s chance in hell of winning, I’m hoping for a miracle and the Badgers winning it. That said, Badger hockey made the NCAA Hockey tournament, a number 1 seed in Cincinnati next Friday against North Dakota. UW-Stevens Point hockey lost to St. Norbert College of Green Bay for the NCAA Div. III title, and UW-Whitewater won the DIII basketball title. Good weekend up here! Also got to flip the bird to that cunt Mother Nature and watch baseball outdoors yesterday with my daughter in Bloomington Indiana; 55 and sunny in Bloomington, IU over Michigan 5-1.
March 23, 2014 at 8:51 pm
Hey CS,
New Orleans is still up in the air. I know you said your wife could try to get me some good hotel deals. Let me know if I could email you and try to work something out. I am making the decision either next Monday or Tuesday. If I can get a really good deal on some hotels, that would increase my chances of going.
March 23, 2014 at 9:10 pm
I will check with the warden tomorrow morning, You will have to do a little research as to what hotel you would prefer. The discounted rate applies at Hampton Inn, Double Tree, and Hilton. Im guessing with Wrestlemania in town they could already be booked. If you could let me know which ones to check the availability at and how far you are willing to commute, maybe you can find something in the burbs. If there is something open I will get back to ya asap and we can go from there.
March 23, 2014 at 9:13 pm
Yeah. Anything close to New Orleans as possible. If it’s, say, a half hour outside of the city, that works too. I may stay overnight in Memphis on the way there. I don’t feel comfortable staying overnight in say, Arkansas or Mississippi. Haha.
March 23, 2014 at 9:57 pm
Hey Guys,
I’ve still got 10 of the Sweet Sixteen playing and can potentially have 7 of the Elite Eight (I lost Wichita State in a tight game this afternoon). Yes, that means that I did…indeed…have Dayton making it to the Elite Eight. My Final Four is Florida vs. Michigan State and Wisconsin vs. Michigan. No, I’m not a Big Ten “lover”, but it’s just how I saw this bracket working out. I actually have Florida beating the Badgers in a tight game; 73-68 or 71-70…somewhere along those lines.
Later,
Jimmy D.

Oh, and by the way…you all know that I’m a huge VCU fan (having attended college there for a bit). I love their basketball program and I realize that one of their better players went down to injury, BUT how in the fuck do you foul someone who’s taking a shot from downtown with 3 seconds left in a game that you are leading by 4. What the fuck was he thinking??? It should have been a “W” for the Rams, but…such is NCAA March Madness. The games have been pretty awesome up to this point. Last night’s Dayton vs. Syracuse game was painful to watch (from an execution standpoint), but really exciting in that it was a nail-biter all the way through to the end.
