What is this man thinking?

by

Chicago Cubs Photo Day

Special Thanks to our good friend and contributor Pie in the Sky for the stats:

Jeff Samardzija (10 starts): 0-4 with a 1.46 ERA and 1.09 WHIP. Only two homers allowed. The Cubs have lost nine of his 10 games pitched. One of those includes a May 5 game where he gave up -0- ER in 9 innings.

You cannot make this shit up.

Chicago Cubs, 1908 World Series Champions.

106 years later, and they’re still chasing “the next championship”!

PATHETIC.

If I was him, I’d be thinking of only one thing.

    Homicide.

  2. Matt Stairs Superfan Says:

Killing people would be too easy. That arm can throw 95 with ease. Let him line every bullpen pitcher up and have him punch every one of them in the head one by one. Years ago, I said any bullpen pitcher who pisses away a game should have their asses kicked by every starting pitcher from that game. And remember…all of these years, starting pitching has never really been an issue…it was always the lack of clutch hitting/bullpen.

  3. dvxprime Says:

Gee, lemme guess…he gets his run support from Jack Shit and his Mighty Wifflebat, and the Cubs set-up men and closers are no better than batting practice pitchers.

Jeff must be growing that mullet in protest; he wants his teammates to stop messing with his “achy-breaky” heart.

    Motherfuckers.

  4. Pie in the Sky Says:

What does everyone think about trading Jeff Samardzija? Sounds like there’s a good chance of it happening. I don’t understand why a 29-year-old ace pitcher (who won’t turn 30 until next season) can’t be part of this “winning” team we’re supposed to see beginning no later than 2016. How many more years are they going to punt before they start trying to win more than 65 per season?

  5. genrebuster Says:

I will be even more pissed off – than I already am – if they trade him. He’s proven that he can pitch. Knowing the Cubs, whoever they would get in return would suddenly tank.

  6. robert Says:

Remeber you cant blame the bullpen on the last game Rondon did his job but that defensive whiz darwin barney commited an error or the cubs win…….release veres and barney yesterday

  7. chucky Says:

Pie…..the problem in keeping him is money, plain and simple. Samardzija has an idea in his mind of what he’s worth. The Cubs don’t want to pay him. It’s as simple as that. And it fucking sucks, because he’s done something I never thought he’d do. He’s become one hell of a damn fine pitcher. I’ll be happy for him when he’s able to leave this sinking ship, but it sucks for the rest of us.

  8. genrebuster Says:

That’s the problem with the Cubs…they reward the fucking hacks and mental cases. I’ll be happy to provide a few examples for anybody who doesn’t get it. baaaaaaaaaaaahh

  9. Robert Says:

I have agreed with a lot of the moves of the Epstein regime but they have pulled a moe Hendry like move and signed manny Rameriez to a minor league deal

  10. Cubs Bears Sox Suck Says:

“The Chicago Cubs want Manny Ramirez to mentor their minor leaguers at the very end of a colorful career that includes two World Series titles and a pair of suspensions for positive drug tests.”

Get your syringes ready Triple-A…… There goes that “great farm system” I keep hearing about.

SHOW DA FIRE AND PASSION, MY FRENDT!
