Where there is smoke, there’s fire. Or something like that. The Bears signed Raypist McDonald in March, even after all of the other garbage that was going on before that. I knew this was a stupid idea and I think everyone else thought the same thing, too.
How PATHETIC of the new regime by the Bears to even give this guy a contract. He flies to Chicago and speaks to George McCaskey. The Bears call his parents (seriously) and decide: “Well, his parents say he’s behaving. Let’s give him another chance!”
Fucking idiots.

I don’t know. I’d be a bit concerned about this Ryan Pace fellow. Getting rid of BM for basically nothing just to add an even bigger locker room problem like RM makes no sense. Pace is very young & inexperienced. Plus, the Saints roster has been regressing the last few years. Pace’s resume isn’t all that great…not bad, but not that great. We’ll see. Ultimately, Pace’s destiny will be determined with how he handles the quarterback situation, aka Jay Cutler’s eventual replacement.

Good riddance (McDonald). I agree that signing him was extremely poor judgement.
Strike one (Pace).

Well, they released McDonald. Okay. But he shouldn’t have been signed in the first place.
I am just glad Trestman isn’t here anymore. His excuse would be “Let’s not come to conclusions because we haven’t had a chance to the check the tape yet.”
I think that’s how you “grow the man”.

The weird thing to me was Pace’s comments after release McDonald.
“We believe in second chances, but when we signed Ray we were very clear what our expectations were if he was to remain a Bear,” General Manager Ryan Pace said in the statement. “He was not able to meet the standard and the decision was made to release him.”
Really? If that’s the case, where is Brandon Marshall’s second chance? Or for that matter, Trestman’s second chance. Don’t misunderstand me, I’m glad those two idiots are gone. But Pace’s comments are complete bullshit.

Saw a headline about suspending the Bears for the McDonald fiasco and was like WTF until I read the story. Author makes some good points.

Goddamn CBSS, that article is something. I heard some talk this morning about docking teams who sign players like McDonald.
One more thing. George McCaskey is starting to sound just as fucking stupid as his idiot brother Mike. What in the fuck were the Bears thinking.

McDonald got arrested AGAIN. Twice in less than 72 hours. What a stupid asshole.

I was against signing McDonald when it happened. He has proven to be a scumbag. Hopefully Pace will learn from his mistake. Now if we could just get Cutler off the damn team we’d be going on the right path.

Pie, your assessment is excellent: http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/12965180/ray-mcdonald-arrested-protective-order-violation
Unreal.

The center little one of the bunch, the $149 Cost HR,
is a step up from the $129 Cost.
