This year’s edition was a bit more thicker than the previous two. I plan on shaving later today. I am looking hideous. But it’s all worth it!

I shaved the beard(by cracky) about a half hour after the game. Sucked working outside with that shit. I truly believe the beard(by cracky) helped. Last year I had to shave for a wedding right before the game 7 with the Kings and we saw how that went.
Now the shitty part begins of dismantling the championship team. I read somewhere that Crawford will be leaving. I guess we will see.
Congrats to the Hawks for another GREAT season!

I don’t think Crawford is leaving. I’d be highly surprised if he gets traded. I was thinking more that Sharp, Bickell, Kruger and maybe Seabrook (if they can get something significant in return) could be on the way out. But, everyone else should remain intact.

That sucks about your beard (By Cracky), by the way.
Anybody coming to the city for the parade? I am trying to arrange something. I am taking off work. I need a day off anyway.

Congrats to Steve Kerr and the Warriors. The Warriors finished with the 3 best record in NBA history with the other 2 teams being the Bulls that Steve Kerr was part of.

I’d like to come up for the rally, but this whole ticket thing into Soldier Field seems like a mess. If you give out 60,000 free tickets online, it’s a guarantee that there will be many no-shows-It will be embarrassing if Soldier field is only 2/3 full. Also, I imagine lots of people without tickets clamoring to be let in to SF. The rally in 2010 was hectic enough.

I already changed my mind on going. It’s going to be a pain in the ass. They should have had it on Michigan Ave. like they did in 2010. I think the experience will be better watching it on TV.

CS,
It was awesome seeing Steve Kerr lead a team to a championship. I just wish the Bulls were half of the team that the Warriors are. And they have sucked for the last four decades, so they deserve it. I did check Wikipedia and the 1972 Lakers, along with some Celtic teams had similar records as well. The Bulls beat the ’72 Lakers by three wins in ’96.
67 wins in the NBA is still, pretty damn good. And for it to be in the West, which is the more superior of the two conferences, is even more impressive. As a player, Kerr was coached by the two greatest coaches of all time: Phil Jackson and Gregg Popovich. And he played next to the greatest basketball player of all time in MJ.
I am trying to be optimistic that Hoiberg will actually “get it” and attempt to use the entire bench in every game, along with managing the starters’ minutes.

I don’t follow the NBA as closely as I used to, but I saw the end of the game last night and am happy for Golden State and Steve Kerr. Not sure how they got him, as Kerr didn’t play for them, but nicely done.

They were saying it took only minutes to sell out of the Hawks Rally tix. Wonder how many were snatched by people who have no intention of going-Red Wing, Lightning, Canucklehead fans, etc.
In terms of Michigan Avenue, it appeared that the heavy turnout in 2010 surprised them and that they didn’t want to risk that many people cramped between the buildings again. It was dense. I was a little nervous myself. I saw a couple people having panic attacks. Optically, it looked amazing though.

I heard about that article overseas. On the bright side, the Bears did clinch last place this past year. And if you can believe it, the Bears start training camp in about 45 days.
If you remember how hot it was that day, that might have had a factor in them. It was 90-95 that day and I remember a woman across the street from where I was that had fainted. I was ready to go with two large water bottles on hand and an extra t-shirt in my car. I still think it would have been a better option than what they are doing with this one.

Yeah, the heat was bad that day, Fro. I remember walking to TeaGschwender afterwards and how much I was sweating. Was that much worse packed in on Mich. Still, I agree, it’s better than this Soldier Field debacle.

The rain passed but one of my friends texted me and said she is downtown on Monroe. She says it’s humid and people are getting dehydrated. As much as I wish I was there, with that many people in such a tight spot, it’s even worse.
