Stop the presses: The Buccaneers have fired Lovie Lee Smith.

Watch, another horrible franchise will hire him. My money is on the Eagles. Those fans deserve him.

Just saw the headline, Fro…you beat me to it. Ha!

  2. Rex Grossman Says:

    Lovie is our coach.

See genre buster’s comment. Just saw the headline on Deadspin and I was just getting ready to cut and paste the url.

No worries, my frendt. Feel free to add your own thoughts in a new thread. Yours are much more humorous than mine. Also, I sent you that email.

But hey, Lovie getting fired by another team just shows the abject failures of NFL franchises not learning lessons from others.

Just look at the Bears with John Fox. He was fired from both Carolina and Denver, but that didn’t stop George McCaskey and known toilet-water drinker, Ted Phillips from hiring him. Stupidity runs wild in the NFL.

  5. Fro Dog Says:

I decided to torture myself by Googling Ted Phillips and this is what I found: Him and former general manager, Phil Emery sharing a moment of stupidity.

  6. genrebuster Says:

Was that photo taken before or after they drank toilet water together?

  7. Fro Dog Says:

Good point. It appears that they both drank it and aren’t feeling so good after. That building they are in looks like a bingo hall in the process of renovation. And what’s hanging from Ted’s pants? Did he steal that pair from the nearest Farm and Fleet and forgot to remove the tag? Good Lord, that picture is worth a thousand words.

Just when you think this story couldn’t get any better, it has. The Buccaneers fired Lovie over the phone.

You can’t make this shit up! A bunch of his now former players are butt hurt that he was canned. And why wouldn’t they be happy? Any coach who takes it easy on players so they don’t have to do as much work must be an excellent one. We should know. The Bears were never really contenders at all with Lovie coaching and on those rare years when they had a chance, he made sure to piss all over it.

    No surprise.

  12. Fro Dog Says:

Jay, are you sad that Adam Gase is leaving? I know your interceptions were down this year, but you need to learn how to throw the ball away instead of throwing it in a group of players with the opposite jersey color.
