The good news for the Cubs: The offense showed they can come back from behind.
The bad news: bullshitpen blew TWO leads, including Rondon for the second consecutive outing.

I’m interested to see how the Cubs handle this farm system. They have so much young hitting talent and there’s literally nowhere to put some of it (e.g. Vogelbach). Get a couple relievers who can help now and maybe trade some of the offensive prospects for SP prospects?

Meh, I take back the part about trading O prospects for SP prospects. But they’ve got to trade Soler/Vogelbach for some ‘pen help.

In other news: the Timberwolves offered their #5 pick in the draft for Jimmy Butler. Given the current roster, should GarPax even listen and negotiate?

Pie: The bullpen is their Achilles heel this season. Actually it’s been their Achilles heel since they lost Bruce Sutter. They haven’t had a “lights-out” closer since he left. If they can obtain Andrew Miller for Soler-Vogelbach-Baez, or some other combination, to the Yanks, then I say pull the trigger!
Arietta is a legite Ace. But, he’s still not worth what Boras is asking.
Prime: I heard the Celtics are offering the #3 pick for Rose. Do you think it’s worth it?

One other thing, Rondon is a good set up man. But, he is not a closer. As Chuckie has said over and over, they need to DFA Strop!

Worth it for who? HA HA HA HA HA

…..hate that I missed the confab with Fro and Yeti, we must plan another down the road.

Genre, I got your message this morning but was working. It was a great time with Yeti, his wife and the Hockeenight folks. We raised quite a bit of cash for Rape Victim Advocates (I believe that was the name).
You would not believe this: Along with his day job of working for the state, he actually kept stats for the football team of the high school he once attended when they were playing the for the state title last year. You could not have made this up. I passed him my wishes from you. I told him the next time you are up here, he better come up as well. It would be a must-see moment to see him and the Chuckster hug it out.

I dunno about hugging it out
June 20, 2016 at 11:53 pm
…what are the odds?
June 21, 2016 at 12:00 pm
No. They’re hugging it out. In fact, I’ll gladly hug Yeti after, because he likes it.

He likes it Fro? That seals it. NO HUGGING!!!!
I’ll shake his hand though…….
