When will the Cubs wake up?

When will the Bulls wake up?

    Hopefully this month.

    Probably never.

Not until the OLD BITCH sells this train wreck.

    Questions answered, good sir!

    Thank You, my frendt!

With the Bears and Bulls virtue-signaling that they will not be contenders in 2017-18, we’d all better hope that both the Cubs and White Sox get into the pennant race and have deep playoff runs into October.

    Nuff said.

    DVX,

The Chicago Fire (and Passion) won 4-1 tonight against the Seattle Sounders. They totally pulled a “Bulls” by blowing a 2-0 lead late last week against the Galaxy. But, they are playing much better this year than last. They are still in the middle of the Eastern Conference standings. Things are looking up for them.

    Here’s some fluff…until proven otherwise.

Unfortunately, I am certain that Pace has no idea what he is doing. He has basically thrown shit at a wall and praying it sticks. Last I checked, that doesn’t really work well in sports.

I will still argue to this point in time that he has regressed this franchise. It made zero sense signing Glennon and for the money he was paid. They could have saved that money for the next couple of years towards future contracts.

Then, to show how much dumber he is, he goes after Mark Sanchez. No explanation needed there.

The simple solution to the “logical” fan such as us would be this: Keep Connor Shaw as a quarterback, who sadly, broke his leg last year in the preseason. He was showing promise, however. So, bring him back, draft a quarterback at #3 (which clearly, Trubisky would have been available), keep the two draft picks this year that they gave up and the one next year to begin rebuilding the roster. The Bears would be a better team with two extra rookies who could have turned out to be good. We’ll never know.

I am very happy I am not going to any games this year and I know thousands of others won’t either. Soldier Field is going to look a bit odd when the third or fourth home game is played and the place is half full.

I agree…with you and chucky. As long as a McCaskey owns the Bear, they are going NOWHERE.

    PATHETIC.

    Genre,

Earlier, I was reading some stuff about the Bears online. I just remember being at the home opener last year (the Monday Night Football game against the Eagles). You and I were texting each other a bit that night about the game. I think my exact words in one message were, “I don’t think Pace has any idea what he’s doing”. You said you felt the same. Well, here we are, eight months later. I think it’s fair to declare that a fact.

Indeed…some things never change. And (fortunately), some do.

A month ago I made a comment to the effect that the Cubs need to shore up their deliver situation if they wanted a chance at reporting as WS champs. Someone replied that the Cubs bullpen had the lowest ERA in the majors at that time.

Do I need to pull a Yeti and dig through the last month’s worth of linescores and see how well/poorly that the bullpen has been?

SHOW DA FIRE AND PASSION, MY FRENDT!
