It would be refreshing to see the Cubs get off to a good start this year…which made last night’s 17 inning 2-1 loss very disappointing, especially against the Marlins.
Your thoughts on the Cubs welcomed here. Will they return to the WS in 2018?

The starting rotation has some middle-inning issues, defense is not solid, bats are hitting, but mainly at people. Our bullpen has been nothing short of impressive with the exception of a little CJ Edwards wildness. The season is young and there is too much talent on this team to worry too much yet. Playing .500 ball on the road is great for a team as long as they can dominate at home, and of course we haven’t gotten there yet. I’ll be happy if the Cubs can come out of the road trip with a winning record.

Boom/bust offense. Same as last year. Too many ks, too little situational hitting. Too early to make a determination on anything yet, but this was supposed to be corrected with the Chili Davis hiring.
