Frustrated: Dolphins 31 Bears 28

by

Everyone is at blame here. From Nagy, to Trubisky, to the refs, the defense and even the kicker (bad position to be put in), they all contributed to this disaster.

It’s not that the Bears lose. It’s how they lose. They beat themselves today. That is a sign of a bad football team.

Your thoughts in the thread. If I write any more in this recap, I’ll probably want to punch a baby.

I like what I am starting to see from trubisky though. He made some bad throws but atleast he is starting to show poise. He is definitely on the rise. He did throw for 3 touchdowns

Okay, look…rookie head coach w/inexperienced QB: I get it. But for the love of God, can the Bears stop pissing away winnable football games?

The people who should shoulder the bulk of the blame should be Vuc Fangio and the defense. Seriously, how the fuck do you surrender almost FOUR HUNDRED YARDS AND THREE TDS to BROCK. FUCKING . OSWEILER??? How do the Bears lose an 11 point lead to a guy who was a high profile washout at Denver?

  3. Cbears523 Says:

Agreed. Defense forgot how to tackle. It’s almost like they came out too big for their britches and thought they had it in the bag. Nagy got real conservative in the 4th quarter. My God he transformed into John fox

Who the fuck tries to force a ball into triple coverage on first and goal?

“Who the fuck tries to force a ball into triple coverage on first and goal?”

Every quarterback who’s ever played for the Bears in my lifetime.

And this is for DVX: Brock Osweiller was supposed to be out of football several times. But it seems every time he has one foot out the door, the Bears come up on the schedule and it buys him another year or two. He’s 3-0 in the last four seasons against the Bears and his best games seemed to have been against him. Talk about ridiculous.

Simple: It’s NFL 2018. Everyone throws 500 yards and four touchdowns every game. Professional Pac-12 Football.

Well, unless you’re Marcus Mariota. Then it’s 0 touchdowns in 3 of the last 4 games. Get sacked 11 times. Fuck that man has fallen off hard from where he was in 2016.

  7. Nemo Says:

Fro, forgot about the Denver game where Osweiler was a sub and beat the Bears. Wasn’t that the game that give him his big free agent contract?

The Bears suck against Miami. Lost 4 of last 5 over a span of about 20 years. Remember the Jason Taylor game?

I don’t mind a team taking some time to grow, learn, and figure things out, but regression like today is bad. This is not a good team. This is an unpredictable team. The coach is making mistakes previously thought corrected. Inability to learn is not a good sign.

  8. Fro Dog Says:

I don’t know if that was the game that earned him the big deal. I am certain, however, that the two previous games against the Bears gave those teams he was on the idea that he could play in the NFL. Anyone who wasn’t a Bear fan today thought Osweiller was going to suck ass and probably never be seen again.

Yes, I remember the Jason Taylor game. It’s just amazing that the Dolphins ended undefeated runs for the Bears twice. Grossman was bad that game and the defense couldn’t get anything going.

You are correct about regression. As I said in the recap: “It’s not that the Bears lose. It’s how they lose. They beat themselves today. That is a sign of a bad football team.”

Even a child could have said that the Bears should have ran the ball on that first and goal after the shitty pass interference call. Calm the offense down and try to get back into a rhythm. Instead, Trubisky goes “Cutler” and throws it right over the middle in double coverage.

    I just looked it up:

Osweiler was in the last year of his contract in 2015. He ended up getting the four-year deal with the Texans in March of 2016. So yes, maybe that game had something to do with it when it came to money. Obviously, his agent must have shown the Texans the game footage.

The guy is a hall-of-famer against this team.

I think the Bears finally broke Carl and Dan…I hit your hyperlink for their site, and nothing but a blank.

Damn, fellas…not even a goodbye? Oh, well…if you guys are reading this, happy trails, thanks for the memories, and we’ll see you on the other side.

…aaand the Bulls seasons starts Thursday night, at Philadelphia. Joy.

Their WordPress site is still up at the original WordPress:

    http://www.firemattnagy.wordpress.com

However, as you can see, they haven’t updated the site since the second week when the Bears hosted the Seahawks. It also appears they did not re-new “www.fireronturner.net.”

I have both of their numbers, but haven’t texted/called. Carl moved to Portland and only comes back for one or two games a year and Dan is still in Madison. It’s been a couple of years since we all met up for a game.

The whole “blog” thing seems dead. I mentioned that a while back on here. I am still thankful a few of you still come by to this site. But damn, this place was on fire many years back. When our teams are bad, it tends to drive a majority away from these places. It’s sad, but true. That explains why many websites and it’s audience have drifted away for good.
