I didn’t see this report until Chucky posted it in the previous thread.
Seriously? We’re going to find out just how stupid he is on Monday. Fuck this guy and the entire franchise that I’ve followed for 30 years. Fuck.

Sure is fun listening to Hub Arkush try to get himself out of the mess he made yesterday though. What an ass.
He is hosting on 670 tonight from 6 to 9 and tomorrow from 7 to 9.
I would take away his AP Pro Bowl voting rights instantly!!!

For once I agree with Aaron Rodgers.

Yes Fro, George McCaskey IS that goddamned stupid!
January 7, 2022 at 9:58 am
Chucky , Did you really think George would do anything else but continue the McCaskey Giant Cluster Fuck , like I’ve said before , it’ll never change as long as a the McCaskeys own the team!! The Bears are dead to me until they have new owners!
January 7, 2022 at 12:14 pm
Fro Dog, I’m disappointed. Did you even have to ask??? My lone hope was that Virginia would decide, at 98, that it is now or never and clean out EVERYBODY. The same idea of Papa Halas hiring Ditka even though they weren’t best buddies, but at least Ditka could handle the “we will win” part of the game.
January 7, 2022 at 2:57 pm
No, Paul, I expect the clusterfuck, like you said. I wouldn’t expect anything else.
You know Paul, I sure hope you plan on sticking around for a while. I love your “fire and passion”, my frendt. It’s definitely needed. Especially in the shithole called Halas Hall. Keep coming back, we need you here!
January 7, 2022 at 6:18 pm
Chucky , I’m not leaving , where else can I vent about the Bears? I’m hoping George will get his head out of his ass and hire someone competent , nah that won’t happen !!
January 7, 2022 at 6:19 pm
George McCaskey needs to eat shit and die !!
January 8, 2022 at 1:12 pm
Check this out: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/01/08/olin-kreutz-bears-offered-me-a-job-at-15-an-hour-they-have-to-change-how-they-do-business/
I’m assuming this is true, and if so it’s further proof that barring a miracle the Bears are doomed as long as the McCaskey’s own the team.
January 8, 2022 at 1:46 pm
genrebuster , I heard the same thing from Olin’s own mouth and it’s typical McCaskey BS , they just didn’t want a Halas player working for them ,that’s how petty they are!!
January 8, 2022 at 3:14 pm
The comments on that OKruetz article are scary. I only read a few but most of them were praising Bears management and criticizing Kruetz for being prideful and money hungry…wtf?
January 8, 2022 at 9:53 pm
I can’t say for sure what would be the best for the Bears. Compared to all the rest of you, I’ve only been a Bears fan for a trifling of time. But I do wonder this sometimes . . . does it really matter who runs the team? I mean, the Minnesota Vikings are going to be firing Mike Zimmer after eight seasons, and they’re arguably as much in a dumpster as the Bears are, despite the man nearly having led them to the Super Bowl in 2017. Vic Fangio, who put together great Bears defenses, got hired away and now he’s going to be fired away from the Denver Broncos. And if you think that’s bad, it’s even more of a slaughterhouse typically over at the Cleveland Browns or the Detroit Lions or the NY Jets or Sacksonville.
All I know is that between Lovie Smith, Marc Trestman, John Fox, and Matt Nagy, nothing has really changed. Sometimes I wonder if they had just stuck with Lovie Smith through hell or high water where they might be today.
Heck . . . if you swapped Matt Nagy and Matt LeFleur and put them in opposite teams, you might just end up with the exact same result as what you have now.
You know . . . maybe the Bears should just go with the strategy of the Pittsburgh Steelers and just stick with a group of guys no matter what, as they do with Mike Tomlin. Although, it’s easy for the Steelers to do that as a bad season for Mike Tomlin is only 8-8, and he’s never finished worse than that or gone more than two seasons consecutively without making playoffs.
I sincerely hope they did not offer Olin Kreutz a job for $15 an hour. Sheesh, I make more than that. If there’s one thing I have to criticize about the Bears ownership, it’s their unwillingness to give their workers their due. If they’re going to make their season ticketholders pay the premium, the money should at least go to the people who matter most.

John: The McCaskeys are the problem with the Bears since they took control in 1983 and it’s been down hill ever since ! The Bears had a very good organization up to that point with Jim Finks and Jerry Vanisi in control , they put together the 1985 championship team which the McCaskeys proceeded to dismantle and that’s why the Bears are what they are now!! The 1985 Bears should have been the start of a dynasty but the McDummies took care of that in short order!!
