Yay? | Bears 34 Browns 10

by

I was working during this game and couldn’t fully focus. However, I did like how the defense played. DeShaun Watson was under pressure during most of his time on the field. There were a few big plays from the Browns, but the defense stopped them on a couple drives. Good work by them for getting two interceptions later in the game as well as strip sacking Watson for a turnover.

I still would have preferred the Bears play Caleb Williams at least a couple of series to see how he looks. I know they already made the plan not to at all. I also know the rain has caused a lot of problems and that could have also been a risk. We have seen what happens when starters don’t play at all in these games and when the season starts, they look rusty.

Tyson Bagent is proving why he is the only choice to backup Caleb. I know he gets a lot of shit from the talk show hosts and podcasters, but all he does is work hard. He shows up and does what is asked of him. He doesn’t have the arm strength nor instincts that someone like Mahomes or Allen. But he has some speed and can scramble.

Case Keenum’s numbers looked great (9/10 for 151 yards for two touchdowns). But he still sucks at football and shouldn’t ever play for the Bears in meaningful games.

Next week, they play the Bengals on the road. Let’s see if the starters are out there for a quarter playing.

You know, Fro, I completely forgot they had a game today. I fell asleep this afternoon and missed the entire game. I hope this isn’t an omen for the rest of the season.
