I always look forward to the big dance. What’s really cool is when I come home from work on Thursday and Friday night, my girlfriend Kris will be glued to the TV watching the late games. That’s my kinda girl.
What I like is the intensity level that these kids play at. They are laying it all on the line out there. The Illini are going to miss Chester Frazier’s presence, but I’m hoping that the rest of the guys can step it up against a tough Western Kentucky team. If they can get through the first round, Gonzaga will likely be waiting for them.
So far, so shitty. Illini get knocked out in the first round again. Just throwing up shots and no defense will take a team no where. My brackets already look like crap.
I didn’t do as well in the first round as I would have liked, but went 15-1 in round 2. If history repeats itself, I’ll blow it in the championship game. Few years back I took the Illini and Carolina wins. I pick Kansas, and they can’t make free throws to save themselves and Syracuse wins.
I was 22-10 in the first round. Then I went 14-2 in the second round. A lot of shitty games. I keep showing the Illini love and they suck in the first round, again. Other crappy picks were West Virginia and Wake Forest. I would need to miracle to win the pool that I am in now.
Fro Dog, I had Wake and W. Va. in the first round as well. Wake is my one Sweet 16 team I’m missing. My Badgers even messed me up; the way they were blowing late leads this year I thought no way in hell were they going to beat Fla. St. Wrong! At least I had Xavier winning yesterday so made up for that. I’ve learned to go with my mind rather than my heart!
Hi Mac. Kris decided to dabble into the tournament and did pretty well. She was pissed with the four upset losses on Friday, but came out 25-7 in the first round. She went 16-0 over the weekend.
Tough way for Marquette to end the season. I told Kris that they were probably going to throw that kid out of the plane on the way home.
Keith, you have to be talking about Dominic James. You just had a feeling that they were going to lose that game when you found out he was returning. They seemed to be doing fine without him. An old friend of mine goes to Marquette and he told me about a year and a half ago he saw James eating at an IHOP downtown late at night. He told me was acting like a complete ass clown to just about everybody who was by him. Talk about a selfish bastard.
