Jay Cutler is a Bear. Jay Cutler is already the greatest Bears quarterback that all of us have ever seen.

I love Kyle Orton and I still believe that he will be good but these trades don’t happen very often and when they do, you have to try to make that trade when there is an opportunity. Cutler is ten times better than Orton will ever be.

The Bears do not have their first round pick for the next two years so its time for Angelo to figure out other ways to get the players he wants to make this team better. May I suggest wide receivers, an offensive lineman or two and a couple safeties.

Angelo never did dick with first round picks anyway. so no lose there. I still wonder how Cutler will do under the current coaching regime. The Bears may be much better by aquireing Cutler, unless he’s handcuffed by Lovie Staff and his Smith. (Stolen from Ed O’Bradovich. Thanks O.B.!!!)

You are only the second person so far that has mentioned that. The other one was a customer who walked in my shop and was talking about it to me. You are 100% right on that.

I was watching ESPN at work since I haven’t listened to the radio much lately and my friend sent me a message saying the Bears got Cutler and he said they showed it on the bottom line. I didn’t even notice it until the bottom line started over again. I couldn’t believe it.

Only two people have mentioned that?

  4. Matt Stairs Superfan Says:

Hey Thrillho, notice that Fro said “so far”. Meaning so far that he has heard only two people mention it. I am sure more people have mentioned it but he might have not heard it. Now go back to BCB where you belong.

Anyway, I wish I was in Chicago right now. I bet everyone is going nuts there. I’ve been in West Virginia for the last two years for work but I am hoping my job sends me back home soon. There aren’t any Bears fans where I am at. As soon as the Jay Cutler jerseys come out, I am getting one.

    Now that’s just uncalled for

  6. chucky Says:

Your right about people going nuts here, Matt. It’s a circus! And beleive it or not, the story of our illustrious former governor finally being indicted overshadowed the Cutler story.

It was a great day in Chicago yesterday.

Also, thanks FroDog for the shout out. I hope this whole thing (Cutler, Pace, ……..) translates into a Super Bowl win. Nothing less than that is acceptable. That includes just getting to the Super Bowl. We had that two years ago, remember?

Hey Chucky, as a Bears fan, I was hoping for a Super Bowl win whether they got Cutler and Pace or not. But, hey, that’s just me.

I never thought that Angelo had the balls to pull off a deal like this. Hey Fro, if Angelo is able to land a good wide receiver via FA or the draft, you might have to take his name off the heading of the site.

I have a good friend at work that is a huge Bronco’s fan, and he came over and congratulated me. But he sure is pissed with the way that management fucked everything up on their end. He gets NFL Prime Ticket so he can see all the games, but he said it’s going away and he will have alot of free time on Sundays this fall.

This not only vastly improves the Bears offense, but will help the defense as well. Especially in the second half of last season, the offense had far too many 3 and out’s instead of keeping the chains moving. This caused the defense to be on the field for 35 to 40 minutes a game instead of 20 to 25. The defense wore down towards seasons end.

with the bears getting cutler you will have to put up with what I have put up for the last 5 years as a steeler fan with Ben as our qb… you know super bowl titles chains being moved 4th quarter comebacks

  11. ksmc2000 Says:

robert, not a bad problem to have if you ask me. It’s been five days since the trade, and I haven’t come back down to earth yet. If I bump into captain kirk up here, I’ll let you know.
