    ANOTHER bunch of BS….Blown Save!!!

  2. chucky Says:

C’mon Jimmy. Get with the program here. Marmol is a serviceable closer.

  3. Yeti Says:

    Marmol Sucks

  4. genrebuster Says:

    I agree!

  5. Jimmy D. Says:

    Yeti,

I’m laughing so hard right now that it’s not even fair. I didn’t say that Marmol sucks…I just said that we blew another save. Fuckin’ walks by the bullpen are going to be the undoing of this club. No, I don’t think we’ll strike everyone out. But, don’t walk the bags full (like Samardzija appears to enjoy doing) and you’ll have a better opportunity at getting the save. Agreed.

    Jimmy D.

Somebody forgot to tell the Blackhawks the series is over –

    Hawks 5 Canucks Zip

This baby is going back to Chicago.

  7. CT Says:

“Somebody forgot to tell the Blackhawks the series is over”

That’s funny, I was sure that Fro told them.

  8. MadCityMac Says:

As I thought, all it takes is for Luongo’s confidence to go in the tank, and the Hawks are back in this. They have to be thinking about starting their backup goaltender, whoever that is. Luongo has given up what, 16 goals in the past 3 games?

  9. Jimmy D. Says:

Mac, they’re “beatin’ him like a rented mule”.

  10. genrebuster Says:

He did, they didn’t believe him.

  11. genrebuster Says:

All kidding aside, this current Cubs team reminds me of the Cubs…

  12. erniesarmy Says:

Well, at least Coleman isn’t 30 years old like some of the other bums the Cubs have in the minors.

He still has a chance to be something, but it ain’t now!

It’s time for Quade to mimic the great managers of Cubs past:

    “Whadda want me to do?”

“I hate walks, they just clog the bases”

    “Dude, where’s my horses?”

  13. genrebuster Says:

Yes they won today…but what’s up with Dempster?

  14. robert Says:

genre the reason we won is simple fidel and rubble are getting on base and scoring runs at an alarming rate….also one of the key hits was buy our first baseman jeff baker cause that worthless piece of you know what was on the bench

  15. Nemo Says:

Been a disappointing season so far, but hey, Vancouver-Here come the Hawks, the MIGHTY Blackhawks!!

  16. MadCityMac Says:

Luongo’s going down in flames! Most goaltenders are a little nuts, but this guys psyche is completely shot!

  17. Jimmy D. Says:

LET’S GO BLACKHAWKS!!!! Let’s seal the deal and steal the series.

  18. Fro Dog Says:

Chris Campoli pissed away whatever chance the Blackhawks had in that game. What a fuck up.

  19. Nemo Says:

So many bad passes and worse turnovers tonight. Vancouver dominated the zone so much it seemed like they had about a dozen power plays when they only had 2. Still, Hawks had a chance, but you can’t fucking keep turning the goddamn puck over in your own zone!!! Crawford was a stud, but he couldn’t save this very lackluster effort all by himself. Fuck, I am pissed!! I hate that fucking building and Luongo! This game reminded me so much of the Gold Medal Game there last year. Ahh, Fuck!!

  20. Jimmy D. Says:

    Hey Vic,

Congratulations! Your team toughed it out and pulled out the W. All in all, Vancouver has a terrific, physical and skilled team. They weren’t the best team all year long for nothing. Still, the Hawks dug deep and gave them a true battle. It was a fun series to watch.

    Later,
    Jimmy D.

  21. genrebuster Says:

I haven’t watch much hockey this year…but I did see a few minutes of the 1st period and most of the 3rd period/overtime…3rd period was pretty intense hockey! Congrats to the Canucks, they played well under extreme pressure.

I wish the Cubs had 1/10 of the heart of the Blackhawks. I can’t wait till the aging Cub losers are gone…blow it up already, clean house! Or do nothing Ricketts….you bumbling moron….who really cares anymore?

FIRE JIM HENDRY before the world comes to and end.

  22. Yeti Says:

The Cuba’s “heart” or lack of it has nothing to do with their performance.

Are you one of those that thinks the world could end on 12/21/12?

  23. Nemo Says:

Substitute the words “motivation” and “determination” for heart, Yeti. Do you truly think motivation and determination have zero impact on the result of sporting events? M&D players are more alert of game situations, skate harder, get to lose pucks, dive for fly balls, concentrate on making contact with two strikes rather than flailing away for strike three. They don’t give up when they are trailing and come back to win sometimes when they shouldn’t. Have you never seen a team phone it in when they fall behind? If not, then you have never watched September baseball. Vancouver tanked in Games 4 and 5 when they fell behind early. They were highly disciplined and motivated for Games 6 and 7. The Hawks could have given up down 3-0 and many teams do so, content to get on with golfing.

Now, I am not saying motivation and determination are everything-they are not. But a team of Manny Ramirez’s is not going to win the World Series any time sooner than a team of Reed Johnson’s (guys, does Reed Johnson still play his guts out?). Teams need a mixture of talent and heart (m&d) to succeed. You know, chemistry.

  24. genrebuster Says:

Yeti, what is the significance of 12/21/12…PLEASE enlighten me.

As for the rest refer to Nemo’s response.

In the past, “lack of heart” has played a role in the Cub’s failure to win. Moreso, for instance than Steve Bartman.

If you disagree, then state your argument and prove your point……oh wait, you can’t: because it has nothing to do with NUMBERS!

You may resume the counting of beans now.

  25. Jimmy D. Says:

“Heart” has nothing to do with performance? Really??? Let’s ask a few people about that, shall we? How ’bout we start with Jamarcus Russell, Ryan Leaf, Randy Moss and Ricky Williams?

Genre, 12/21/12 has been regarded as a possible “end of the world” date by some people/groups whom have extrapolated information from Mayan calendars and other sources. You know what? There’s a 50% probability that the world will end that day…it either will, or it won’t. So, believe what you want to.

  26. Matt Stairs Superfan Says:

I think what Genre is saying about firing Jim Hendry is it seems he has held that job so long, it seems like forever. It has nothing to do with the 2012 garbage.

Jim Hendry has been the general manager of this dis-organization for nearly a decade. How PATHETIC is that? Three managers and a decade of failure later and he still has a job? If you worked at a McDonald’s and still couldn’t figure out how to use a cash register after a month, I am sure they find a way to can you. In the worlds of the Trib and Tom Ricketts, you are a success if you can do the job that Jim Hendry has done.

I am very disappointed this year because I actually like Quade as a manager. He doesn’t say dumb shit like “Dude” or “What do you want me to do?” like the last two idiots we had. Jim Hendry has given him a pot of shit and told him to turn it into gold. If you want to know what the pot of shit is, look at players like Dempster, Sammardjia and whoever the 4th and 5th starters are.

  27. chucky Says:

    Hey, screw 12/21/12!!!!

    http://anamericanatheist.org/tag/may-21/

How’s it feel to think you have less than a month left?

    These people are fucking nuts!!!!!!!!!

  28. Matt Stairs Superfan Says:

Those people are as nuts as the ones who make their arguments solely on stats.

By the way, when I arrived home today and asked my wife what the score of the game was, she told me it was rained out. My response was “Hey. We didn’t lose! That will get our team going.”.

    Fire Jim Hendry.

  29. genrebuster Says:

    the Internet is SO KEWL!
