More reasons why Jerry Angelo and Lovie Smith need to be shown the door.

It’s been a few days since I have been here and I have a few things to say regarding the state of the Bears:

1. Cutler/Martz conflict: I did not notice (I might have looked away for a second) when Cutler’s remarks were heard on the microphone. All I can say is about damn time we heard that. I am sure it has been said before but I am glad all of us were able to hear it. If you want to see the video, it’s on Deadspin and YouTube.

2. Lance Briggs: I think Lance Briggs has become the biggest fucking whiner on this team. He bitched the year after the Super Bowl in 2007 when he was given the franchise tag. So Angelo gives him a hefty-contract (Rightfully so) at that time. Then what does this asshole do? He wants a new contract when his current one isn’t up yet with more money.

This is what Briggs said on Comcast SportsNet Tuesday: “It’s a league about what have you done for me lately. And for [players], it’s about getting what you can while you can.”

This asshole has no room to say that shit. He has been horrible so far this season (It’s only been six fucking games too). There have been at least four instances in which a tight end that he was suppose to cover and it resulted in him wandering around like a typical Bears cornerback and leaving a tight end wide open for a touchdown. What a fucking hack. The only player that deserves to get paid right now is Matt Forte. No doubt about it as I have mentioned several times that he is the best player on this horrible team.

3. Dishonesty: Another topic I am bitching about are the coaches and their compulsive lying problems they continue to have. First off is Mike Martz laughing during an interview Wednesday after Cutler finished his press conference talking mainly about his issues with him. He said seconds later that him and Cutler have no problems whatsoever and that everything will be fine.

Next up is something that has been bothering me for years regarding Lovie Smith and his way of handling the truth. In a game against the Eagles in 2007, Brian Griese pulled a John Elway and drove the Bears 95+ yards in a span of two minutes leading them to a game-winning touchdown. Griese said in a press conference after the game that the radio in his helmet went out and he was forced to call all the plays (Go figure. Calling plays without the offensive coordinator is a success.) The very next day, Griese took the podium in another press conference to say he did not call all of the plays, but rather, he ran (or someone else) to the sideline to get some of the plays during that final drive.

Why does Lovie Smith let this shit happen? Why does he condemns this and? Let me remind you, this is the same turd who, week after week, tells the whole world that the Bears are a good football team. Then on Wednesday, he said the players aren’t distracted by contracts. I think someone needs to put the video of Lance Briggs’ interview from Tuesday in his office.

Everything that I have just mentioned is insulting to Bears’ fans and to the players on that team. Lovie Smith has worn out his tenure as head football coach of the Chicago Bears. I am sure a lot of us “pissed off” fans would respect him a lot more if he just told the truth for a change instead of lying his ass off any chance he gets. If Martz and Cutler can’t get along, Martz should just admit it. Cutler admitted there were issues and Martz denied them. I think I believe Cutler in this case. I am sick and tired of the garbage that this franchise continues to shove in our faces.

4. The fucking headset issues/timeouts: For crying out loud, GET THE DAMN RADIO CALLS IN THE HEADSET WORKING OR DON’T USE THEM. If they don’t work, let Cutler call the plays. God knows how much better this offense would be if someone else made the calls. And what the hell is going on with all of the timeouts? In the Monday Night Massacre against the Lions, the genius Lovie Smith made sure that all of his timeouts during the first half were all used on one drive that resulted in zero points IN THE FIRST FUCKING QUARTER. What happened as soon as the Lions took the ball over on downs? Matthew Stafford took out his I-Pass and used it on the Bears’ terrible secondary by throwing for an easy touchdown to Calvin Johnson. This also points back to the headset issues in which Cutler is forced to call timeouts.

All I have to say is if the shit doesn’t work, do something different. I think though in the Bears’ case, if something doesn’t work, just keep doing it no matter how many times it fails. However, this method of continuing to do the same thing has been failing well before Lovie Smith arrived in Chicago. To quote the late and great Owen Hart: Enough is enough and it’s time for a change.

  1. Joe Says:

I don’t really care about Lovie. If Lovie had talent on his team–like he had a few years ago–even his coaching system will work.
Fire Angelo and fire him now. That alone would be worth two victories this year to the team–after the team morale went up.
His mentality was that Jay Cutler was such a good QB that he didn’t NEED any help on the offensive line. Right, moron….
That’s like saying, this guy is SUCH a great race car driver that he could win the Indy 500 in a go cart.
I don’t think so. You still have to surround your star with the best possible people and materials.
If they Bears want to clean house after the end of the year and get rid of Lovie AND Angelo, that’s all right with me.
But it could all depend on if they make the playoffs or not.
If they do decently, make the playoffs, and then lose, some idiot at Halas Hall might say fire Lovie….and have Jerry start to look for a new coach. Noooooo!!!!
That would give us four or five years MINIMUM just like this year and last year.
No matter WHAT happens this year–even if the Bears win the Super Bowl (just go with me)–they MUST FIRE JERRY ANGELO.

(Remember how long it took them to fire Ron Turner? And, like Angelo, it was obvious for two or three YEARS that he should be fired. Turner’s a position coach now. He’ll never get an OC job again. Just like no team will EVER make Angelo a GM again.)

We will NOT go through all this AGAIN.

  2. Fro Dog Says:

I agree on just about everything you have said. Lovie needs to go too. Just by his own decisions, he has lost numerous games during his tenure here. I won’t list them all but I am sure most can guess which ones I am talking about. I’ll give one example and that was the NFC Championship game last year.

I am going to sound like a broken record but having a pathetic excuse for a quarterback (Todd Collins) as your backup was the final straw for me. He was in the game for at least two possessions until Caleb Hanie came in and nearly became a folk hero. We all know what happened but wasting those two or so possessions to start the second half probably cost the Bears a chance to go to the Super Bowl. Collins played horribly against a shitty Carolina Panthers team earlier in the year and yet, Smith decided to keep him as the backup. The Bears need to clean house and start from scratch when it comes to building an organization.

  3. Kevin Hill (@kjh71can) Says:

my goodness the team looks inept with this play calling not getting over the head phones, use sony or panasonic. right now under Virginia they are a bit of a joke of an organization.

  4. Kevin Hill (@kjh71can) Says:

Definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results.

  5. Yeti Says:

I agree Kevin. Like if someone watches a press conference and expects their coach to say that his team sucks in front of everyone, that could be construed as insane

  6. Yeti Says:

So, Belichek lies to the media all the time, so he must be a shittier coach than Lovie, right, Fro? I mean you spent like 5 paragraphs on dishonesty, so one takeaway could be that the dishonesty is what you’re most pissed about.. So, when do you start

Also, why is the fact that Lance Briggs is likely an asshole one of the reasons to fire those two? I mean, did they make him want money? If you want to say “because they haven’t paid Matt Forte” as a reason to dismiss them, then that’s valid.. But saying they should be shitcanned because some LB wants more money is kinda retarded

  7. chucky Says:

Fro…There’s a breeze going through here.

On second thought, forget it. It’s only Yeti.

Fro… left one thing off on your dishonesty list. Last Sunday Julius Peppers was listed as “doubtful” for the game. But when game time came around, he suited up and played. The issue here(listen up Yeti) is what was said after the game. I heard reports that Lovie was fucking with the Vikings because of a game last year with Brett Favre, and that Peppers wasn’t hurt that bad. I am sooooooooooooooofucking sick and tired of this bald, arrogant bag of fuck I COULD FUCKING SCREAM!!!!!!!!!

Get rid of all of these motherfucking hacks. NOW!!!!!!!!

  8. jimmyd Says:

Sorry, but that’s a ploy used by all teams in the NFL. That one is up to the Commissioner to put a halt to; you’re gonna see some of that no matter who’s in charge. Just like the exchange between Harbaugh and Schwartz at the end of the Lions/49’ers game. There should have been fines levied against both coaches, but the league blew that one.

    Jimmy D.

  9. Fro Dog Says:

I think our friend Yeti has a problem reading (as usual) because right after I was done bitching about Briggs, I put the following in that same paragraph:

“The only player that deserves to get paid right now is Matt Forte. No doubt about it as I have mentioned several times that he is the best player on this horrible team.”

As far as Bellichek goes, I can’t tell you the last time I heard one of his press conferences. Regardless, if he is liar or more of one, at least the guy is successful at being a head coach. I have a stat for you: How about three Super Bowl victories in a span of six years? Lovie on the other hand, has fucked up one chance at winning the Super Bowl and blew a legitimate chance to go to another one.

Instead of posting here, you should go play in traffic. I hear it’s better out there.

Jimmy D is right. NFL teams do that quite a bit so I didn’t have a problem with it. I am glad he played though.

  10. chucky Says:

Fro….You and Jimmy may be correct, but to me, it doesn’t make any difference. It’s still dishonest. The league should crack down on this. Why have the injury status reports every week if they do this shit? It totally neuters the reports. It ranks up there (to me) with Smith putting Jay Cutler out on that bike on the sidelines after he went out with his knee injury in the NFC title game. What the fuck was the idea behind that? If he’s not going back in, fucking say so. Stop the bullshit games. I’m sick of being lied to. I know Fro is too, but how about the rest of you?

  11. genrebuster Says:

Lovie Smith is an idiot. A bona fide living breathing bobble-head doll. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

Yeti. You’re slipping. I suggest you cut back on whatever you’re taking and seek help. Your anal-ysis is slipping, too much emphasis on being personal. Counting a few more beans might be more productive.

I hope Cutler kicks Martz’s ass before he is injured.

  12. MadCityMac Says:

Thoughts- Martz is a douche. Cutler should get a hallpass if he decided to kick Martz’s ass.

Somebody mentioned on the Danny Mac show this morning that when Theo Epstein is on board, the first thing he should do is put an end to the 7th inning stretch bullshit- cudos!

Why the FUCK does Crane fucking Kenney have anything to do with the negotiations for Epstein. God I hate that useless piece of shit. Where’s a fucking sniper when we need one.

A new restaurant opened in Madison today called Bison Jack’s. These clowns have been playing the absolute most fucking annoying radio commercials ever for the past month. Then I found out another reason why I will NEVER patronize this place- it is the first in a series of these restaurants owned by- wait for it- Joe Ricketts. Yup, the fucking old man! On top of that, he’s a fucking whackjob Teabagger. Fuck him, and fuck his son FanBoy!

That is all- cold beer awaits…

  13. chucky Says:

Mac…..You just made me think of something. Joe Ricketts is a flaming Teabagger, and his son Fanboy is just flaming!

  14. genebuster Says:

I just threw up in my mouth.

  15. genrebuster Says:

    …who the hell is genebuster?

  16. Kevin Hill (@kjh71can) Says:

At least the Cubs are trying to win, do you think once Virginia is gone, they will bring her corpse to the games?

  17. Kevin Hill (@kjh71can) Says:

I got an article for everyone about Lovie funny stuff

Lovie Smith Says Voices In Headset Keep Calling Him Idiot

  18. chucky Says:

News flash for Lovie; Those aren’t the voices calling him an idiot!

  19. Fro Dog Says:

Genebuster I believe is the evil twin of one, Genrebuster. Someone should do a better job of not letting him escape out of the dungeon.

Also, has anyone seen Lovie Smith’s NyQuil commercial? I think we all know now what he is on now during and after the games.

  20. chucky Says:

    NyQuil and Valium.

  21. Kevin Hill (@kjh71can) Says:

They play the safeties so far off ppl , unless they are burners there is no way in hell they can cover the TE`s and recievers, it`s a prevent defense that gives up the middle of the field the Chargers, Raiders and Eagles will have a field day with this defense.

  22. jimmyd Says:

It’s official. Theo was just announced as the new Chicago Cubs President of Baseball Operations. Let’s get this party started!!!

  23. Matt Stairs Superfan Says:

Goodbye Crane Kenney you tool. Your next job will be finding that priest so he can bless your toilet with his holy water!

  24. Pie in the Sky Says:

Is Kenney certainly gone? Pretty sure President of Baseball Operations and Team President aren’t the same thing. One is “Baseball Operations” and the other is “Executive Management.”

I don’t think it’ll mean much if he stays though.

  25. jimmyd Says:

I think you’re correct. My point was that Theo will be more than just a GM. He’s bringing in his own GM AND he’ll be doing other things to hopefully focus this organization on a winning mentality.

    Jimmy D.

  26. Robert Says:

I think crane may stay to run the business side

  27. chucky Says:

When the hell is Tom Thayer going to stick a football in Jeff Joniaks fucking mouth?

I’m about ready to curb stomp that hyperactive assbag in the nutsack just to change his voice. Goddamn he is just fucking grating as hell.

  28. genrebuster Says:

“hyperactive assbag”…hadn’t heard that one before…CLASSIC.
