I’m sorry chucky, I honestly didn’t intend to insult you.
In fact, I was hoping that you would contribute another one of your trademark rants before too much time passes. I always enjoy them!
Just trying to spark some conversation on anything Cubs related since Fro no longer writes about the Cubs (can’t say that I blame him!).
…it’s getting harder and harder for me to give a crap about the Cubs, much less pay any attention…just trying to stir the pot. I welcome all comments, thoughts…
No Yeti. Hoge is a sheeple for writing an article titled: “Soriano Much Classier Than The Fans Who Boo Him” and for defending his inability to come through WHEN IT REALLY MATTERED. In fact, I find most of the article to be WEAK at best. That Soriano was NOT the only Cub who failed to deliver when it mattered is irrelevant. Of course this is merely my opinion.
from the article: “The fans always support the team no matter what,” he said. “Loss or win, they always support the team. So I think that’s the best memory because I played on different teams and when the team was doing bad, the fans did not go to the ballpark. But here, no matter what, they go to the ballpark.”
And this is one of the reasons that the Chicago Cubs are arguably the most PATHETIC franchise in professional sports, at least if you judge success by WINNING.
Classy guys don’t throw a fit because they’re dropped to No. 7 in the batting order. They make $136 million and do as they’re told. I don’t want to see how he’d react if he were benched.
The defenses (excuses) in this article are pretty weak. “He’s not the only reason!” “It happens!” … Come on.

Uhhhh….genre, have I done something to piss you off?
I certainly hope not, but that was just cruel. I would have preferred “Choke Cubs Choke”.

Anybody have an idea for the next thread?

Don’t worry genre. You didn’t insult me. Only joking with ya.
I’m building up a rant that should make you and maybe a few others happy. Stay tuned, fitness friend.

Am I still pissed over the picture Soriano’s one fingered wave from last week? Maybe. In the meantime, more fuel for the fire:

DVX, I just read the column and almost puked. Another idiot sheeple who gets to write a sports column. PATHETIC.

Hoge is a sheeple for criticizing the sheeple who go to Wrigley?

Hoge is a sheeple for having Al Yellon ghost write that bullshit. I thought someone as smart as Yeti would understand that.
My mistake.
