C.M. Punk, unfortunately, hit the wrong guy.

by

Thanks to YouTube user “DaJoel” for this video that clears the air about who really hit C.M. Punk in the crowd on Monday night. I can see where Punk thought the guy behind him was the one who hit him. It turns out, a douche two rows back was the one who did it. Some of these fans are idiots. On the other side, in the moment, Punk’s natural reaction was to retaliate. Reports have the guy who was attacked, filing a police report with Sacramento police.

If this is a work, I commend Vince McMahon but I highly doubt it.

That will probably cost him the title if that wasn’t a shoot. Punk should have kept going. He was getting mauled by those idiot fans.

I just watched the video again and this time, I realized the kid in the Brock Lesnar shirt to the left pushed Punk seconds before he ‘clobbered’ the fan behind him. Damnit. I wish Punk had knocked the fuck out of that kid instead of the wrong guy behind him. It’s one thing to say talk crap to the guy. It’s another when you go after him physically. This is an unfortunate set of circumstances.

Fro….have you heard from fallscountanywhere lately. The updates on that site seem to be getting more and more scarce. The last one was your memo to WWE on 9/27. I hope there are no problems over there.

I don’t know to be honest. I’ll email her and check up. Maybe she sees that the storylines have been horrible lately. She did tell me the last time we spoke that she was moving into the city so maybe she’s busy with that. I’ll let you know.

I live!! Sorry guys, quick update is up 🙂 Thanks for checking in though, Chucky!

I know I’m late to the party, but I wanted to chime in. I have mixed feelings about this incident. It’s odd that security didn’t even seem to attempt to follow him into the stands. I understand a delay, not wanting to get in the way of the cameras or something, but it is their job to be there and at shows I’ve seen, they always are.
I’m also surprised people were SO physical. I’ve also seen situations where wrestlers are in the audience and people don’t touch them; I’ve always thought of it as something of an unwritten rule that you don’t push them around, and most people abide. Sure, pats on the back happen, but this seems really intense.
Finally, it’s also a little odd to me that Punk reacted that way. Don’t get me wrong, I’d be super pissed too (see above reasons). But at the same time, he’s a professional and shit like that has to happen once in a while (maybe more?), so such a big physical shove surprises me. So I guess I still haven’t entirely made up my mind on what the appropriate consequences are, but honestly I’m leaning towards less severe punishments for Punk. I think it was one of those gut reaction things. Wrestlers are people, too, and deserve to be treated as such.
