Repetitive quotes by Lovie Smith and Marc Trestman (Somebody check the water in Lake Forest)

Lovie: “We have a good football team.”

Trestman: “We haven’t looked at the tape yet.”

Lovie: “Rex is our quarterback.”

Trestman: “Jay is our quarterback. He gives us the best chance to win.”

Lovie: “We get off the bus running.”

Trestman: “We would like to have run it more.”

Lovie: “We have to correct our mistakes.”

Trestman: “We’ve got to do a better job. We’ll get these mistakes corrected.”

Five days until Trestman and his PATHETIC coordinators get the axe. I am praying Emery goes, too. Any person who makes a possible head coach (Bruce Arians) do a mock press conference and in addition, not allow that possible head coach to hire his own coordinators, deserves to be fired.

Why is Trestman starting Cutler this Sunday? What is the point of it? Why isn’t David Fales starting? Enough with the bullshit of “he isn’t ready”. Throw this guy out there and see what happens.

Oh, what’s that? The organization doesn’t know what they’re doing? Nevermind.

  2. chucky Says:

Fro….Throw in Ted Phillips as well. Remember this: Emery did hire Trestman, but who the fuck hired Emery? The shit starts at the very top of the food chain here.

And since we’re talking about the Bears, count on this “process” to be totally fucked up

  3. Fro Dog Says:

I know what you mean. But that turd that has been with the franchise in some role for about 30 years. He’s their pal. It reminds me a lot about how John Paxson and Gar Forman will never be fired from the Bulls. Reisndork loves Paxson so much for what he did as a player, that it results in immunity with his current position. Every time I see Ted Phillips, it makes me want to punch the TV.

That being said, I am praying for a miracle on Monday morning with Phillips being gone, too.

  4. genrebuster Says:

Why the fuck doesn’t Emery tell Trestman “the only way Jay Cutler plays on Sunday is IF Fales gets injured”. I can’t think of anything more stupid than risking the health of the “franchise qb” – whether you think he is deserving of that title or not – on a MEANINGLESS game. And believe me, it IS meaningless. If nothing else, there is a financial concern to be considered; if Cutler is seriously injured his value drops (again).

What the fuck is wrong with these IDIOTS? Trestman has the gall to call Robbie Gould out for not keeping his thoughts “in-house”. Excuse me, coach: Aaron FUCKING Kromer had no regard for keeping things in-house! This alone proves to me that Trestman is NOT head coach material, as he let Kromer off the hook. I’m all for giving people 2nd chances (within reason) but my guess is Trestman lost most of whatever respect and support from the players that he might have been holding onto after the Kromer incident. I’m sure many of the players took issue with that and rightfully so.

Aaron Rodgers stated that he ‘would have a major problem’ with Kromer’s comments…of course he would! Who wouldn’t?

Cutler has a lot of room for improvement, for sure…but if got in Kromer and Trestman’s face, that would make me happy.

This season has become the complete FAILURE it is due to a number of reasons. But to blame this SHITPILE entirely on Cutler is BULLSHIT. Trestman and the rest of the coaching staff – and Phil Emery – deserve more blame than any one player, including Jay Cutler.

Right now the biggest stench in Chicago pro-sports is the Chicago Bears. Sad but true. The lowly PATHETIC Cubs haven’t won anything yet, but they appear to be in a better position to succeed in the near future….just my opinion.

I hope everybody has a safe and happy holiday, whatever you celebrate…All the Best!

    Carry on…….

  5. genrebuster Says:

Sorry for the typo, girls and boys (and Mitch and Gary): Cutler has a lot of room for improvement, for sure…but if HE got in Kromer and Trestman’s face, that would make me happy.

  6. Fro Dog Says:

Thanks Genre. You too, buddy. Thanks also for helping out here by posting. You’ve done great work here. We love it.

On a lighter note, I was in CS’s neck of the woods yesterday in Ottawa and Streator. When did Ottawa get a Hardee’s? It looks like they are on the comeback trail in Illinois.

  7. genrebuster Says:

Thank You, Fro…I’m grateful that you set this site up when the “original FDB” went down for the count!

  8. genrebuster Says:

And I’m happy to contribute what I can.

  9. Fro Dog Says:

Yeah. Thanks again. I still think about that old site from time to time. It sucks that a lot of those guys have wandered off over the years. I pray that everything is alright. I remember Keith (KSMC) posted about three years ago saying his health wasn’t that great. I pray he’s okay. I think Mac met up with him a few years back up in Madison.

  10. genrebuster Says:

Yeah, it would be great if some of those guys dropped back in down the road….

  11. abdallaha92 Says:

If by some fluke we win Sunday we’re screwed. We lose our higher draft pick so Cutler can have a decent game and dipshit Cutler fans can say “Look at his pointless stats”. Then again Cutler will probably throw the game away.

  12. genrebuster Says:

Don’t blame Cutler. Blame the IDIOT who starts him. It starts at the top.

  13. Cubs Bears Sox Suck Says:

The Hardees has been been open about 2 months now. It comes and goes . It will be there for a few years then gone a few years. This is the 3rd time now I can remember having a Hardees in the same building. Ottawa is far from the comeback trail, we have a mayor more concerned with painting murals and planting flower then filling vacancies and boosting the local economy. I hope your not planning on expanding your business this way because I would suggest a location in Peru or Morris over this shithole. A few more winters and I’m so out of here lol

  14. Fro Dog Says:

Oh, I am not expanding anything down there. I like being closer to the city and being down there would add an extra 30-45 minutes. I am good up here! And by comeback trail, I meant Hardee’s since I also saw a newer one in Aurora a while back.

Yeah. Ottawa is a dump. Being there the other day was the first time I was there in years. There was a lady I use to have certain relations with that lived in Grand Ridge. Her and I went to NIU together. Good times!

  15. MadCityMac Says:

Fro, yeah Keith did come down to Madison a couple times and we had a chance to hang out; he even stayed at my place the one night because neither of us was in any condition to drive. I worry about him as well And Fro, Scott, Chucky, Jimmy D., and everybody else, hope you have a wonderful holiday. I’ll be thinking of all of you who are Bear fans and hoping, for your sake, a Christmas miracle occurs Monday morning and Chucky’s favorite gal Ginny and her brood clean house. Jimmy D. and I are obviously hoping our Packers take down the cheap-shot artists from the armpit of Michigan (next to Flint) Sunday. I’m sure he’ll be in Lambeau, and I’ll be at the Harmony Bar in Madison watching. Cheers! And go Blackhawks! (How the fuck did they lose to Winnipeg 5-1???)

  16. Fro Dog Says:

Yeah. That was a shitty loss. If my memory serves correct (it doesn’t often), that was probably the first game all season where they got their asses kicked from start to finish. If it is the first or even second time, that’s much better than all the other teams. Every team has those types of losses through 82 games. It’s best to get it out of the way now than later.

  17. genrebuster Says:

I’m with you, Mike…hoping that the Packers kick the asses of the cheap-shot hacks from Detroit. As for Bears ownership, I hope they extricate their heads from their asses before too much time passes……tick tock…tick tock….tick tock….tick tock…….

  18. jimmy d. Says:

Right you are! I’ll be in the stands on Sunday rooting on our Green and Gold.
I am confused about one thing though. I’m not sure what you and Genre are talking about when you mention cheap shot artists/hacks? Whatever do you mean? Those players are just “misunderstood”. Those were actually inadvertent, accidental, unintended, misinterpreted situations. You guys don’t really think that ANYONE on the Lions team would intend to seriously injure another player…do you? I think you both need to go back and watch the film a little more carefully and you will…aw, nevermind…those fuckers are the biggest bunch of thugs the game has ever seen.
I can’t wait to see which one of their D-bags blows a gasket and takes a stomp at someone this weekend. Hell, we might even want to “pat them down” before the game to make sure that none of them bastards are carrying brass knuckles, shivs, mace, pepper spray, etc.
On another note, I do secretly wish that the Lions will get to face the Seahags. Then, under the radar, one of the Lions henchmen can casually saunter over near the sideline and split Pete Carroll in half (Celebrity Death Match-like). Now, there’s a piece of shit that I’d like to see “ended”.

    Jimmy D.

  19. chucky Says:

I love it! A Celebrity Death Match reference! Outstanding Jimmy! Absolutely outstanding, my frendt!

  20. MadCityMac Says:

Celebrity Death Match is the SHIT- I LOVE it!! Yeah Jimmy, get us a win Sunday my frendt!! I think slowly, the culture will change in Detroit. Caldwell, I think, will weed out the garbage like Raiola. Apparently, even his teammates hate him. A piece of shit holdover from that assbag Schwartz. (one kinda cool personal recollection- I actually got to see Jim Caldwell play high school football and basketball for Beloit Memorial high school, against my alma mater, Madison East. Of course, this was well before I was actually in high school since Caldwell is, I think, 6 years older than me? Still, kinda cool.)

  21. jimmy d. Says:

Thanks…always nice to get a “shout out” on a meaningful reference.

Ah, yes, remember how good Beloit Memorial used to be (back in our day). They were badass in virtually all things sports. Like you said, though…just a little before our time, but I still remember they mopped up in all sports back then. Today…not so much.

    Jimmy D.

  22. jimmy d. Says:

Well, how about my prognostication abilities? Suh showed his true colors and “stepped right up” (get it?) to make me look like a genius. I’ve watched some of the comments on the sports channels…and it appears that ALL of the former players think that Suh is an “out of control” HACK and that his antics have absolutely no place in the NFL.
On a brighter note, I’m one step away from getting my wish of having Detroit go to the Seahags and MAYBE getting to see one of the Lions “band of misfits” go Celebrity Deathmatch on Pete Carroll. Oh, the possibilities are endless!!!

    Jimmy D.

  23. Fro Dog Says:

I told you this last year and I’ll tell you again this year: I cannot stand Pete Carroll. He is a fucking phony and I am praying that any team (even the Lions or the Packers) can beat him and his piece of shit, roided up players. I remember being at Soldier Field two years ago when the Seahawks were here (Urlacher’s last game). Seeing Pete Carroll jump all over the sidelines made me want to jump over and punch him in his smug face. I don’t like the Packers but I respect the hell out of them. The Seahawks are the ultimate group of cocksuckers.

  24. jimmy d. Says:

Yes, Pete Carroll is the consummate DOUCHECOPTER in my book!

    Jimmy D.
