Well, that’s what the “experts” are saying today. With center, Roberto Garza being given a one-year extension through next season, they think Emery still has a job. Unfortunately, I think that’s what it is. I don’t think many franchises would let the GM make moves knowing that he will be fired. Then again, these are the Bears and they do a lot of things that don’t make sense.
ANGRY.

How can they trust this idiot to draft talent or hire any good coaches, this man is a mad scientist clown…. The talent he draft really can’t compete with the starters in the NFL.. Guess I have to get another team to support..!!!

I am fully on board with regard to any real decisions that might be made by Emery… as far as their importance to Emery’s departure. There is a lot of speculation too that Cutler’s status may or may not be left entirely to any new Bears brain-trust, with the argument being that Cutler is such a negative that his mere presence might preclude new staff from wanting to work with the Bears. Garza’s place with the Bears, considering all the other needs that the team has, doesn’t seem like any leap of faith, regardless of whom made the offer to him, and as far as I read the deal is for one more year. But, I am wary lest Emery dare do anything else before Monday. He should sit tight and take his medicine.

I was just listening to The Score when I ran to the grocery store, and THEIR speculation is that everybody might be gone, all the way up to Ted Phillips. We’ll find out Monday.

Fuck them all. Too bad the McCaskey’s can’t be fired, too…that would be great!
