Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that the Bears have traded Brandon Marshall to the Jets. Thoughts? With me, it appears that just having him around is enough of a problem and that’s what it came down to. Talent wise, he’s pretty damn good. Unfortunately, the bad outweighs the good.
This trade frees up almost $4 million in cap space and saves the Bears another $7 million or so in bonuses.
Is Dickface next?

I think he has to be either traded or cut by Tuesday. If not, I believe he is guaranteed at least, $18 million for next year. If they cut him, they can still save some, but not all of it for cap space. I think it’s a no-win situation because I doubt a team is stupid enough to take that contract.

My perception of Marshall’s stint here sees him as being no better for the Bears in the future than he was last year. The personality that Marshall brings is not right going forward. Add the overdue departure of Briggs and I feel better today about the Bears as a cohesive unit.

There is still a bigger problem within the Bears and they have until Tuesday to make that problem go away and save some cash. I doubt it will happen but we will see.
It is times like these I miss Al Davis. He would have taken Dickface in a heartbeat and even thrown in 1st rd. draft picks.

Some things you may or may not know about Scott Hall.
Scott Hall began wrestling in 1984 in CWF Championship Wrestling Florida. His first feud was with Dusty Rhodes. On his way to the WWF he had stops in NWA, AWA, WWC, and WCW.
The Razor Ramon Gimmick started as a joke.
Summerslam 94 his cornerman was Walter “Don’t call me GARY” Payton.
Cody Hall is Scotts son. He is wrestling for New Japan Pro Wrestling.
In 1983, Hall was charged with second degree murder after shooting a man with his own gun (after wrestling it away from him) in an altercation outside of a nightclub in Orlando, Florida. According to Hall, this was done in self-defense. The charges were dropped due to lack of evidence. In a 2011 interview for ESPN, Hall admitted killing the man, and said he is unable to forget the incident.
Scott Hall once showed up to an indy show after overdosing still wearing his hospital band. Got ahold of a mic now really drunk and ended up getting arrested.
(This concerns us Fro) On May 17, 2014, Hall was due to appear at Big Time Wrestling’s Wrestlefest event with his son, Cody. On that day, he sent a text message to promoter Kirk White saying he was in a dark place, refused to get out of bed and would not appear. His manager, Bill Behrens, released a statement saying he, Cody and Diamond Dallas Page failed to convince Hall to put aside “personal problems” and go to the show.

CS, I knew about the Scott Hall incident at that show when it happened. I think any time he talks, he sounds drunk. In addition, Chucky once mentioned that Hall usually appeared to use Penzoil in his hair when he was Razor.
